The place is low key and plays really well on the vampire theme. From the table set up and entrance decor , to blood bags drinks and restroom signs- all fun to discover. Food is good and our server was quick and helpful. We tried the gator bites (a bit spicy), the pork belly (always good ), the vampire and Dracula burgers (there is a vampire sauce that makes them different) , and the scallops. Got a blood bag - vodka based drink- for fun. Enjoyed ourselves and the dinner.

This is such a fun, unique and one of a kind place. They have a great local cuisine and themed vampire drinks. Try a blood bag for fun. The food is good size and a great value. The service is friendly and are happy to offer ideas and suggestions. It is easy to find just off Bourbon on a quiet corner on St Ann so the environment is more laid back. Had a mother-daughter brunch this morning and enjoyed it immensely. The staff is so very friendly and nice. The food was good, simple yet executed well. The pomegranate lemonade in blood bags were fun touches and tasty. I had the build your own oatmeal (didn't want anything heavy) with fresh berries and golden raisins with a side of toast. The oatmeal nicely presented and not overly sweet, the fresh berries with the golden raisins were the perfect topping for the oatmeal. My kiddo had the French toast with a side of bacon, and she had zero complaints. She said she liked them better than another local spot that we go to occasionally for breakfast, which says a lot because she's pretty picky.

Amazing food with a fun, whimsical theme! Unfortunately we got a table an hour before close so they were out of the gator and most of their desserts, but I won’t fault them for that. We got the Brie cranberry appetizer with pita and the cheese was so creamy, smokey, and warm. The pita was also fresh and fluffy. The vampire burger was a real treat to eat, the blue cheese and vampire sauce worked really well together and I adored the cook on the burger. Charred on the outside but still juicy on the inside.

Does anyDoes anyone know the relationship between attractive women and poor decision-making? I never would have imagined eating something as unusual as an alligator, despite rumors that it is an aphrodisiac. We came to this vampire cafe after taking a swamp tour and observing alligators. The attractive lady I came with convinced me to try eating an alligator. It had a pork-like flavor and a tender chicken-like texture. I actually enjoyed it and would recommend it as an appetizer for anyone looking to explore or try something new. In addition to the food, the waitresses were friendly and enjoyable to speak with. I would definitely visit again if given the opportunity.

Such a fun touristy experience! Blood bag cocktails were a cute touch. The gumbo was good I just wish it was a bit warmer, the elephant garlic would be so much better with a different bread, the filet was excellent, the salmon was cooked perfectly, the rib eye was great. The hamburger was not that good. Besides that I highly recommend. The chocolate cake was good and big enough for 4 people to share.

I have had a few drinks at the New Orleans Vampire Cafe but had not eaten here. Today I stopped in for lunch and had their Shrimp and Grits. The food was really good and the person serving me could not have been more pleasant. The atmosphere is different but a lot of fun.

I was genuinly supried at how good the food was. Not only does the atmosphere and menu hit all the right notes but our food was perfect. The steaks were so tender they could be cut with a spoon, and my duck was indulgent. Our cocktails were delicious. I will say the blood bags have a bit of a plastic flavor after being stored in the IV bags but they are so cool its a small price to pay. Reserve a table if you can and if you cant show up early make a reservation and go have a few drinks while you wait. It will be packed.

Small, but packed full atmosphere. We started with the fried deviled eggs and they were fantastic, especially the caviar ones. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the filet, the two teens had salads. The food was excellent, dare I say, some of the best in New Orleans. This is our fifth trip here and we have eaten nearly everywhere now, this will forever be a place to stop and eat dinner. At first, I thought it was pricey, but after eating the food, it was priced just right. Hats off to the chef, It couldn't have been better.

This place is very popular, so I'd expect to wait and they're a little funky with its a first come first served type of things so it was a little chaotic, but I'm glad I persevered because the food was so good! Everything we ordered really was phenomenal. The decor is cool and it's a very fun themed restaurant.
