I would give this cafe 6 stars if I could. Very nice sophisticated cafe with top notch service better than the finest restaurants we went to while in NOLA. They even served our food in unison which no other restaurant did. Wonderful ambiance and atmosphere and awesome decor. The food was top notch, especially the shrimp and grits. And I received a free dessert and a birthday dance for my 60th! How cool is that? And to make things even better there was live jazz music which was excellent and bottomless mimosas for only $15. Absolutely amazing and highly recommend.
This place is amazing. From the staff, the food and the drinks. The ambiance is perfect and the building is enchanting. The service is top notch. The waiters are very knowledgeabl about the cuisine. And the food is decadent! I highly recommend. One classy place!
The best food on New Orleans! Hands down the gumbo is the best I've ever had! I actually ate 4 servings in three days! The Chef is an awesome person that will greet you at the door and talk to you. You must book a reservation, yes you do because it's that good, but don't leave New Orleans without dinning at this restaurant!
What an excellent place to dine! I loved the food and our waiter Owen was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about food and wine selection. He found me the perfect wine for my picky taste buds and we loved it! He was pleasant and took the time to learn about my allergies and ensure that they were taken care of. We had fish and it was excellent as well as the red velvet cake....
Hands down best food on the planet topped with exceptional service!!! I don’t care that parking is a pain...I will Uber here! My fav dish was the lamb and crabmeat, but the courtbouillon, lamb chops and pork ribeye were amazing as well. Crab cakes, gumbo and turtle soup were delish too!
Absolutely love this place! Best food in NOLA. Our meal on the evening of December 28, was overall the BEST meal we have ever had! There's nothing better than the Oysters Sbisa! I had the Pork Ribeye and it was absolutely superb! My wife, Ginny, had the Petite Filet and she raved about how tender it was. For dessert, I had the Bread Pudding and Ginny had Creme Brulee. Honestly, from start to finish, the best meal we have ever had. Special thanks to Co-Owner and Executive-Chef Alfred Singleton for stopping by twice to check on us. And, Ashley was the greatest! A beautiful smile, warm approach, and impeccable care! If you're in NOLA, you gotta go by Cafe Sbisa! It's the best!
Great atmosphere with live music on Saturday night! Great service, food was good but nothing fenomenal. I had the wedge salad,a burger, gumbo and the bread pudding with ice creams. The gumbo was extremely salty and the bread pudding definitely was the best of all.
Elegant, classy without being stuffy. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the fried oyster appetizer. The service was friendly and attentive. My only note would be to wear layers this place was bit chilly if you sit on the booth tables across the bar. But besides that the I would recommend bringing a date he.
Great place. Cold a/c on a hot day. Live music. Food and cocktails were delicious. The pork chop (pictured) was one of the best I’ve had. Turtle soups was great too. Could have had more dessert options however. Beware: 20% gratuity added to all bills.
We ate dinner here for my cousins birthday and I really enjoyed it. Our waiter, Kevin, took his time with us even though we got on his nerves... He never showed it once... so I can give them a 10 for that alone.
5 stars all around. We stumbled in hungry for a bite to eat, and boy were we shocked! The staff was kind, the food was mouthwatering good. Shrimp and grits is a must try. Will be missing it when we are back home! Topped it off with the bread pudding. Also, the band was incredibly talented. We could’ve sat all day to listen!
Service was good! Food was great! Loved the ambiance and date night vibes. But I was expecting more for us celebrating my gf bday. The waitress did not acknowledge that Birthday note I added to our reservation. We did come for late dinner at 8:30 and I think they were focused on closing at that time. My oyster Sbisa was sent with bacon and I requested none, but they fixed it immediately. Other than that, it was a experience we enjoyed.
We spent 4 days in New Orleans, the food from Cafe Sbisa was one of the highlights of the trip! Everything was so good and so fresh. The black coffee was excellent, we order the seafood gumbo and it was to die for. We also order Chicken and Waffles, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and I can’t even begin to describe the French toast! Unfortunately it was no room for dessert 😞😂
The staff at this restaurant makes this a treat! Even with a party of 20, they were attentive and responsive.
The cuisine is culinary perfection. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and beautifully plated.
My party was sat upstairs, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance.
The food was delicious! Our waiter Kevin was kind and recommended the best thing on the menu which was the trout Eugene - 10/10. We went on a Friday hoping to hear a live jazz band but the band only performs on Saturdays and Sundays
Food and service were top notch! Definitely try the Courtbouillion, an authentic Creole Bouillabaisse. It was great!
Might just be the slow time of the year but the atmosphere was pretty lacking - no live music and the music playing was awful, muzak tracks of pop songs. Not sure if going through renovations but the route to the bathroom looked unfinished and a bit rough.
All in all though, go for that kitchen!
