Super crowded with long lines, but we got here just in time and we did not wait long for our warm bags of deliciousness!
Iconic spot for chicory based coffee and fresh, sugar laden beignets. Being honest, the beignets were a little more dense than I remember them being in the past. But they had great live music, it was a nice spot to relax and people-watch, and the entire menu was extremely inexpensive.
It is just an iconic place. Cash only and they have table service. The prices are still extremely reasonable. There really is powdered sugar everywhere- along with the pigeons waiting for you to drop something. Worth a stop

I had never heard of a beignet until coming here. Of course, I had to try them. Needless to say, I was there at open the following 2 days and even had some for a late night snack 1 of those days! Must eat the beignets while they're still hot. The table service is quicker than the to go line if it's busy. Later in the day it was nice listening to live music nearby while eating. Service was fast and friendly. Really enjoyed.
