Surprisingly great Italian food in NOLA, and this gem was no exception. Excellent service, very good food and a nice wine list, but it could have used a few more Italian selections. We had a fantastic fried calamari, a seafood pan roast, Eggplant and shrimp with a authentic Vodka Sauce and a very good Veal Marsala, although the Veal portion could have been a bit more generous. It was MAYBE 4 ounces of veal. For my taste, the decor could use some work. It is very simple and generic, almost plain and cold. Nice having table and napkin linens at an establishment that does not command $80 per person ticket. Over all, very good food and service. Next time in NOLA, we will return to this fine place.

After reading some of the negative reviews we were considering not eating at Pascal's Manale. We are so glad that we did eat there. We hadn't made reservations, but it wasn't overly busy and they gave us a table right away. Our server Keith was very helpful and we decided to try one of the specials. Everything was very tasty. We recommend the fried eggplant. So yummy. Use the bread to get a little more of the tasty sauce. We shared a Pascal's salad. The blue cheese dressing is really chunky with blue cheese. Recommended if you like that. I had the BBQ shrimp and they were delightfully messy and delicious. So big!!! My wife had the Pascal's trout which also had shrimp in the BBQ sauce (really a spicy boil). I paired my shrimp with a Jucifer IPA and my wife had the Gott 815 Cabernet with the trout. For dessert we shared the delicious chocolate mousse. We could taste the butterfat coating our tongues. Creamy and flavorful. Contrary to some reviewers we enjoyed the food flavors very much. We will gladly return the next time we are in New Orleans. Riding the trolley car to dinner was part of the fun!

The famous BBQ shrimp are famous for a good reason! That broth combined with their delicious bread is phenomenal. Also, the Eggplant Dryades appetizer was wonderful. The service was friendly and the ambiance is fun (though the dining room is LOUD). We found the spaghetti and meatballs and veal marsala to be average.

My mom, her friend, and I had a late lunch here with generous martinis, the house specialty barbecued shrimp, veal piccata, and wonderful dessert. Service was outstanding from KEVIN.

Old school dining room, pretty cool atmosphere. Service is first class, very much elite from hostess to waitstaff. The menu is classic, nothing too exciting but well enough. We were a party of 8 and for the most part everyone enjoyed dinner. The BBQ shrimp is a house special but I didn’t enjoy it as much as others at the table. I felt like the sauce was pretty basic and not a lot of unique flavor. Also had a chicken Marsala dish that again was good, not great. We also had the ribeye steak with pasta and the steak was probably the best we ordered from the menu, tender and well seasoned but not overbearing. All in all I probably won’t go back to place but only because when visiting New Orleans I expect a little more pizazz and creativity in my food.

The waiter Courtney was great. Atmosphere was outstanding. Food was average. My husbands veal picatta sauce could have used a better lemon caper recipe, not much flavor. My shrimp and grits sauce was lacking. My sister ordered the only spaghetti on the menu. Hers was the best. Huge meatballs, needed a little more sauce. Little overpriced for what we got.

We really enjoyed our dinner and the service was great. It was extremely loud in the dining area, and we couldn't hear each other.

Our server, Landry, was AWESOME! He was so polite and personable. The food was good but lacked a little flavor. I was very disappointed when we walked in and up to the hostess desk. There were two ladies. The white female was literally slumped over on the barrel to the left of the desk where the black female greeted us right away. The white female only stood straight up when I looked at her and said "you look comfy" Very poor look when you are literally the first person one sees when coming into the restaurant. We arrived at approximately 6pm on Friday, November 24th.

Good lord don’t miss this place. What an experience in flavor. What an experience in atmosphere. What an experience in service. Thank you Liz and Jeanette for everything. The Frutta Del Mar exceeded expectations…and I’m not new at this. The seafood was fresh, cooked to perfection, with a nice peppery finish. The eggplant that Liz recommended was the perfect lagniappe to the Frutta Del Mar.

Mother in law recalled the BBQ Shrimp from more than 50 years ago and suggested we go on our trip to New Orleans. We made reservations for our party of 6 although during the week was probably not necessary. The atmosphere is very nice and nostalgic, I even face timed with my Mother in law and it was just as she remembered. Don’t be fooled by the term BBQ because it’s not what you expect although very tasteful. I suggest peeling all the shrimp and letting them sit in the juices.

Absolutely incredible, one of the best meals of my life, and Thomas, the man at the oyster bar is quite the character, best thing I did in New Orleans.

History is important to me, and BBQ Shrimp is a tradition in my wife’s side of the family, so we had to go check out the source. Good stuff as expected. Our server, John, was quick and attentive. The dishes all tasted authentic, and the atmosphere was everything you’d want from a historic NOLA restaurant. Loved every minute. The pecan pie was delicious, but my favorite thing of all might’ve been the bread!

2nd time I have dined, and will continue to return anytime I am in New Orleans. Had a reservation through Open Table, nice table in big room this time, waiter was awesome and we loved our meal. Get the BBQ shrimp always, and tried a seasonal menu item, bass. The seafood pasta Fruita di mare was excellent and buttery. The wine selection is excellent. The Malbec from Argentina or the Pinot Grigio Santa Magherita is tasty as well.

This was my first time eating at Pascal's Manale. Everyone told me I had to try the BBQ shrimp. Well, as luck would have it, as it was being delivered, it ended up in my lap. I am not sure who was more shocked, the waiter that dropped it or me. It got very quiet in the room until I started laughing. The staff were very apologetic and bent over backward to move us to a new table and start over. As for going back, you bet. I loved the food, and things couldn't have turned out better. By the way, you must go and try the BBQ shrimp.

I love their bbq shrimp, It’s of my favorites in the city. The fish with artichoke and crab sauce was even better though. We did their coolinary lunch which is a great deal!

Excellent service from manager to bus boys. Very attentive. Fresh baked loaves of bread. Great variety of appetizers from giant, I mean giant, mozzarella sticks to frog soup to amazing grilled oysters. Entrees are HUGE. Must go there famished and leave room for dessert.
