First visit on a Saturday for lunch. Dress code was casual (not sloppy). I would suspect at night a little dressier. Professional waiter, fun interactive and informative. He likes his job and they must treat him well because of the passion he shares about the restaurant. 5 of us went and everyone ordered something different. Because I’m such a foodie, I always research the menu before visiting new places. I picked absolutely perfect. Crab Cheesecake and the Frommage Board. Worthy of a 5 Star review. I can’t imagine visiting New Orleans and not having at least one meal here. Someone at the table must order the Bananas Foster. It’s spectacular.

Fabulous place for Sunday brunch! Not only is the food incredible but the atmosphere is fabulous! Shrimp and ricotta cheese omelette with a side citrus salad and Bananas Foster to top it off (prepared tableside) with the entire meal accented with live jazz music. Quintessential New Orleans!

First time to Essence Festival and it was wonderful but what made it great was Palace Cafe! The food, ambiance and service were awesome. Whether brunch inside with the live banjo band or dinner on the outside patio, the cafe was perfect!

The food is delicious! The Crab cheesecake is a must same with the gumbo Yaya!!!! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Nick, our waiter, provided some of the best service we've ever had. He did not rush us, was generous with his time, had great recommendations, and was just very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed our time and the food.

Best restaurant we visited in New Orleans. Service was great, food even better and jazz brunch gave a unique experience. I wish the other restaurants took some notes from here. We got wonderful French bread after seating my girlfriend couldn’t get enough of and count finish her meal. All in all highly recommended. The band even went to tables to play music for people.

Recently, I was in New Orleans for work and decided to try out a restaurant suggested by Lauren Daigle’s favorite restaurant guide on Apple Maps. It’s her hometown, so who better to trust for a restaurant recommendation? A colleague and I chose to explore Palace Café and oh, what a delightful experience it was! The Crab Cheesecake is a must-try—so delicious and full of flavor. Alec A, or Alvarez as he’s better known, was our helpful and friendly waiter. He suggested the shrimp dish, which was absolutely tasty! The menu, though small, offers a good mix, ensuring everyone finds something they love. For dessert, Alec recommended the chocolate mousse and my friend had the bread pudding. Both were just the right amount of sweet and so enjoyable. The portions? Perfectly sized! Here’s a tip: they’re only open on certain days. We were so glad to catch them on a Sunday evening—it’s a must-visit when you’re in town. In short, if you find yourself in New Orleans, make sure to stop by Palace Café for an amazing meal and friendly service. You won’t be disappointed!

Palace Cafe in the heart of the French Quarter is simply fantastic! We recently enjoyed a brunch there, and it was an incredible experience. The ambiance was lively and welcoming, and the live jazz added a magical touch to the atmosphere. Palace Cafe is a must-visit spot for brunch lovers seeking delicious food, fantastic jazz, and the flavors of New Orleans. Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience!

The private wine room was perfect for our holiday event for 9. I believe it’s a $500 minimum to reserve/deposit. The andouille fish was good but needs a side. The strings of carrots that come with it isn’t sufficient. The French bread is warm and flaky. The waiter was ok but distracted by another party down the hall. The bread pudding is the best and I hear the crème brûlée is delicious, too.

They didn’t get it right the first time but invited my children and I back after the thanksgiving parade for the opportunity to make the situation right. The service was absolutely worth it! A special thanks to Ms Katie Ms Claudia and Mrs Kadisha for going above and beyond to ensure our second experience was rave worthy!!

We love all of Dickie Brennan’s restaurants, and Palace Cafe did not disappoint! The atmosphere, food, and service was amazing! The crabmeat cheesecake came highly recommended, and it was amazing! The Toro Bravo is a very refreshing cocktail! The andouille crusted fish was probably one of the best fish dishes I have ever had! We will for sure be back!

Until this trip I'd always viewed the Palace Cafe as a backup plan. The food and drinks have always been very good and the service flawless and friendly but not in the top rotation. That changed this last trip. I've had most of the dishes on the menu but had always skipped the Shrimp Tchefuncte. I almost smacked myself upside the head for this transgression. HOLY FARKIN' TASTEBUDSPLOSION! It's one of the best dishes I've ever put in my mouth. The Meuniére sauce will leave you wanting to lick the bowl clean. It's perfectly balanced. Not too buttery not too spicy not too much or too little of anything. The mushrooms are perfectly sauteed and add just the right earthiness, the shrimp are perfectly fresh and snap as only a fresh shrimp does. Very mild and slightly sweet in flavor, perfect offset to the sauce. Rice absorbs all the goodness and brings it together. Expect to mow down every bite. I had to talk my dining opponent into trying it. She really doesn't like shrimp much and prefers lighter dishes. Her face went from "Ok I'll indulge you" to OHMAGAHWOW! In her words "That's one of the best dishes I've ever tasted". If you want a quieter experience see if they'll seat you upstairs. I'll be back.

We enjoyed quite an exquisite brunch at the Palace Café while visiting New Orleans for a bachelorette party. The atmosphere was upscale without being too stuffy. We enjoyed mimosas, the Duck Hash (pictured), the Palace Café Benedict, and their Brasserie Burger .. everything was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the live jazz music while we dined. Definitely a memorable experience! Highly recommend!

My partner and I visited the Palace Cafe on Wednesday evening 11/1 and had a phenomenal dining experience. Our server was beyond fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was gorgeous, and we caught them on a quiet night, as I'm assuming most other tourists headed out after Halloween. Both of us had cocktails, and they certainly didn't skimp on the booze. We ordered the crab cheesecake and two bowls of turtle soup. I was skeptical of the cheesecake, but it really was fantastic. We'd never had turtle soup before, and again to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. My partner had a steak, while I had the gulf fish, and we both had the bananas foster for dessert. I'm kind of a dessert snob, and I can honestly say that the bananas foster is in my top five desserts ever. If we get to visit New Orleans again, we'll certainly be back.
