New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood was definitely a GREAT place to eat! The minute my daughter and I stepped off the plane to celebrate my birthday in NOLA on Dec. 2nd, we were hungry! A rental car desk clerk referred us to this place and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The guy that took our order named Jimmy was SO welcoming and friendly, truly an AWESOME individual!! He assisted us with the menu and made wonderful suggestions that proved to be the BEST!! I was also very surprised at how INEXPENSIVE our meal was!! The food arrived at our table HOT and FAST, the wait staff was very pleasant and courteous. We had fried catfish (thick and thin-sliced), fried shrimp, french fries with a tasty garlic sauce, gumbo and a slice of toasted french bread...EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! We also indulged in the flavored teas and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the free ice cream cones. We were there for a couple of hours just basking in the ambiance of the place, watching football on TV and meeting friendly locals who seemed to frequent there. I must say that New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood on Veterans near the airport was truly a FABULOUS beginning to a GREAT birthday weekend for me, we LOVED IT!!
We came here on our way out of New Orleans to go home and I'm so glad I did. The frozen daquiri I had was the amaretto pineapple and it was delicious! It was only $6. The food was great, reasonably priced, and the portions were huge. A must visit guys!
Newly renovated dining room. Very nice. Sat at the bar with a newbie bartender and had a great time. The old fashions were perfect. The crawfish queso was delicious. The seafood platter was enough for two people, and we had food to take home. The thin fried catfish was new to me and I loved it. The hush puppies were great. I can’t wait to come back.
Food was good. The staff was friendly but they are not very attentive. I really enjoyed the oysters. The atmosphere was nice until I was being stared down by someone then I became uncomfortable.(not their problem tho mines is personal).
Visited the location close to the university. More of a restaurant feel with full bar than some other locations. Food was delicious and plentiful. Will always be on my list for future visits.
This is my fav location. Portions are generous. Didn’t do counter service, sat ourselves at the bar.
If you love seafood you need the catfish platter (both thin and thick are great it don’t matter) it’s great, wedges with aioli and there’s lemon in the batter!! This is closest to catfish heaven at a cafe if you’ve got country origins. Didn’t get her name but the lady working the bar was so kind and attentive even while serving drinks for the entire floor on her own. She was also super enthusiastic when making a fun drink requested.
Would recommend pass on the crab cake/ tomato stack, gator balls and shrimp combination for the seafood platter.
Fire! From A to Z this was a 5 star experience! We were even greeted but one of the chefs named Marty. Being from out of town, this is the type of hospitality you want! We ordered the 44 which was 4 rums and 4 juices. BOMB! The food was so freaking GOOD! I had the taste of New Orleans. The fried fish, shrimp and the GARLIC HERB FRIES..... What in the hell is on those fries to make them so GOOD?! I can't wait to come back.
My experience was ok. They seemed to have been short of staff, but the young lady we had did take good care of us. Ms. Heather I believe is her name Greeted us with a nice smile. The food was good. My client enjoyed her frog legs. She wasn't too upset about the table being a little dirty. Overall we enjoyed our lunch.
Fried shrimp was amazing. Crawfish queso and chips were to die for. The oysters were very small. I enjoyed the oysters but they were a bit too little to enjoy their flavor aside from any fixings. Would definitely come back again!
Hadn't been here to eat for a while but the new pinball machines brought me in for a beer and a couple of games. Mostly Port of Orleans on tap I'm sorry to say. But they do serve it in big goblets.
Treated myself to late birthday party & I'm really wanted some shrimp & catfish.
I'm so glad I did. I've taken a picture of my meal (it's the thick catfish plate) he got the thin catfish plate.
Both came with hush puppies, toasted Poboy bread, Cole slaw, catfish (thin or thick), shrimp.
I love it!
The guy that took our order was really nice & patient.
Our waitress was really helpful & attentive.
The environment was really nice-I really enjoyed it.
Thanks New Orleans Hamburger And Seafood for a great experience & meal!
While on our trip to NOLA , we came back to eat to this place twice ! We loved their tasty food and service ! Best place to eat with the family ! No lines, spacious and very clean! Also, the server, Julia was so kind and attentive both times !! Will definitely be back next time we visit NOLA !!’
Wonderful menu choices. Food was delicious. (The young lady taking our order at the take out counter was very confused and inefficient. I assume that she was a new employee. She shouldn't have been by herself during a busy time). The table servers were great. Highly recommended!
PLEASE COME HERE
I'm not kidding you, when I say this is the best burger I've ever had in my life, it IS. And please PLEASE don't get me started on these amazing garlic fries. The star of the show has to be these mozzarella sticks. They are so amazing. I think I died and found heaven
We haven’t had food this good in a long time, traveled all over the country! It’s good to come back to real food 🩷 even the girls were impressed. And uptown coffee next door had great bignets!!
Visiting from the North Pole. Here spending a few days relaxing prior to the holiday. Dino The bartender was great. Will be back in the future.
New to the place and the lady that took our order took the time to go over what they had to offer. Described some of the dishes. Recommended some of her favorites. Very helpful! Food was amazingly good too!
