This place is fabulous! We had breakfast every morning there! The pancakes are amazing and the French toast! Sadly our last day there our waiter seemed to hate his job and apparently we were an inconvenience for him. We found it odd every other day the food and service were above 5 star quality. However, with this waiter the whole experience from the food to the service seemed to negative star quality. But like all restaurants, you cannot let one bad mishap and one waiter ruin it. We will continue to return everytime we come to New Orleans, we will just request not to have him has a waiter.

My friends and I stumbled upon Monty's trying to get find a really good place to eat our last day in NOLA. Well we almost left but I'm glad we stayed. Monty's will not disappoint at all. We ordered breakfast, brunch and dinner so we could have a variety. I don't even like grits but the grits here are amazing. The pancake with cooked to perfection, Red beans and rice were phenomenal the chicken was fried great just could've used a little bit more seasoning but nothing hot sauce could not cure lol. And the Seafood gumbo is one of the best so far I have eaten in NOL. They don't skim on the portion sizes either. You will definitely be fat, full and satisfied here!

This is our favorite place to eat when we are in New Orleans, breakfast lunch or dinner!! The food is fantastic, the staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is awesome!! My only complaint is they don’t stay open longer.. 5 is way to early honestly!

We had breakfast at Monty's twice while we were in New Orleans and all of us agreed they have the creamiest best tasting grits we have ever had. My husband doesn't like grits, but on the second morning he ordered them along with the rest of the table. We only had breakfast there, but I would highly recommend eating at Monty's

The food and service was great! The mimosas proved to me I’ve been doing it wrong all along. It’s a splash of OJ to a bottle of champagne. 😊😊 Dustin was a great waiter, and a nicer person.

We eat here every time we are in town. Hot sausage is the best! Cool staff and worth the wait. They recently remodeled adding a bigger bar which is great because the Bloody Mary is amazing. Situated in a cool area on the corner. It’s a keeper!

Good food and lots of it. Our server was great. Beer was cold. Nice view of Jackson park. I could eat there once a week for sure.

Loved it. The place was packed but we were seated right away. I had the French toast with bacon and blue berries with a sweet tea. I’ll definitely eat there again.

We came to Monty's on our last visit to New Orleans a year ago. Back again and had to eat here on this trip. The food and service never disappoints. Will come here every trip. FYI - We have eaten here once a day when in town.

The food here was so delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, our cups did not stay empty long! And the atmosphere right off Jackson Sq is charming, low hum of the noise but still quiet enough to hear each other. I got the jambalaya omelet and it was incredible.

Delicious food and attentive service! Our entire group had a great start to our day because of Monty's. Get those fried tomatoes. Oh man, i miss them. Each brunch dish was delicious and perfect space for that NOLA atmosphere.

Food was delicious! However BEWARE of the individual charges. Our bill was $178 for 3 people. We had brunch and drinks. There were charges to our drinks we weren’t told about (what’s mega?? Didn’t ask for double or anything on those) we didn’t ask for top shelf alcohol but were charged for it, charged extra for cheese on eggs, etc. And they included the gratuity for only a party of 3. Again food was great but the bill was absolute sticker shock.

Love Monty’s!! We ordered the King Cake Beignets as an appetizer and they were amazing! Best dessert ever. For entrees, we for the jambalaya omelet-delicious and so flavorful and the brunch poboy! Both were very good and it was all PLENTY of food. We also got our food within 5 minutes of ordering and it was perfect! Such good service and food! Will definitely be coming back!

Everything was good. Id say its a safe meal in a clean and sanitaty area. Served hot with big serving sizes, we enjoyed our meal and all the stars is for the chicken and sausage gumbo i tasted from the trio plate because that had soooo much unique flavor and was very delicious and made the visit here.

The fried green tomatoes caught my attention, and they did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, they had a crispy coating that gave way to tangy and flavorful tomatoes inside. I decided to try the Cajun fried chicken sandwich, and I was in for a treat. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with Cajun spices, creating a deliciously bold and spicy flavor profile. To accompany my meal, I decided to indulge in a peach Bellini. Being a fan of peaches, this drink was a must-try for me. The peach Bellini did not disappoint.

We went for breakfast and it was amazing. The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. The cook delivered the food and said what I ordered was his favorite dish. The bartender was super friendly and we had some great conversations about local bars. The flavored mimosas were great. We couldn't decide if we wanted them individually or a whole pitcher, so she let us do individual flavors until we hit 8 glasses which equaled the same as a pitcher, and got the last one to go as she recommended taking it across the street to check out the Mississippi river. Great place, easy to find too.

Food was great! I had biscuits & gravy and it was a good serving. Hubby ordered one pancake thinking it would be fluffy and thick-it was like a crepe. They replaced that one with 2 crepes 😂 but they comped it in the end so it’s all good. The BEST homemade Bloody Mary I’ve ever had!!! 5 stars by itself! Very busy and loud but great location to eat brunch time. Will definitely go back! (Location is directly across the street from Cafe Du Monde)

The food was delicious (chicken and pancakes, red beans and rice) and the Louisiana Lemonade is one of my favorite drinks ever. Brittany was wonderful, we enjoyed talking with her and her service was great!! Will visit again!!!

We came here for breakfast on a Monday. The restaurant was pretty crowded but we were able to get a table right away. We were brought menus but it took a while for our waitress to appear to take our orders. Once she arrived she was on point with our drinks, food orders, and bringing coffee refills. My eggs with sausage, potatoes, and biscuit was pretty good except the biscuit was super doughy. Prices were good - breakfast for two with coffee drinks and tip was $40

Food: Fried Shrimp Po'boy (Fried shrimp on Leidenheimer French bread, dressed with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles); Roasted Red Pepper Cheese Bites (a combination of fresh mozzarella cheese infused with roasted red peppers, lightly battered and fried to perfection. Served with our house-made spicy ranch sauce); scrambled eggs; cheese grits. Food (not included in the pictures): Sweet Cream Pancakes (Sweetened, heavy cream infused pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream); Red Beans & Rice (Slow-cooked, creamy red beans made with cajun spices. Served with smoked sausage and Leidenheimer French bread). Ambiance: Casual & upbeat Parking: N/A. I ubered because it is a very busy and crowded area. Pricing: The pricing was fair; it was between cheap and pricey. Food (flavors): The shrimps in the poboy were fried to perfection and taste good though I didn't taste any unique flavors. The shrimps were savory. I wished the poppy had a sauce on it (like popeys used to have on their poboy) because it was dry and I felt like it needed something else. It still tasted good though. The fries were super crunchy and tasty; they didn't have any unique flavors. The eggs were bland but cooked well (flufffy). The cheesy grits were good after I added some salt and pepper to them. The roasted red pepper cheese bites were fried to perfection and had an amazing flavor combination; the sauce really tied that dish together. The sweet cream pancakes were fluffy and perfectly infused with a sweet flavor; I highly recommend it. And the red beans & rice were also very tasty and consisted of savory and smokey flavors; the sausage really added a great burst of flavor to that dish. Portion size: Medium to large Drinks: N/A Note: I normally don't talk about the service, but I was NOT happy with the service here. My waiter took forever to do everything. Food is amazing here and well worth the price. My waitress Brittany was amazing we were the only table in the back and she stayed on top of us making sure everything was perfect. Food cooked to perfect I mean fried green tomatoes and the inside was not mushy and over easy egg inside runny outside completely cooked drinks were a perfect combination. Price is amazing for everything u get
