Ernst Cafe - New Orleans - Photo album

Always great. Servers are awesome. We go every week! They have the best frozen Irish coffee and atmosphere! Took my bff a couples weeks ago and every time we have told him we went he’s been jelly.
Two old high school buddies' girls trip, we really enjoyed our recent trip to New Orleans, kicked off with supper at Ernst's, at the end of the street from Harrah's. It was a great place, great service, good conversation with our waitress, and the gumbo was very good - not too hot or spicy - just '
You cannot beat the price point here. $1 to $3 for all of their beers, It is impossible. Solid service too. I don't personally recommend the food as I have not tried it. But I have heard that the roast beef sandwich which is made in house is outstanding.
They had cheap cold beer. 1.25 to 3.25 a bottle. The chips and queso and gumbo were good. The chips were a little stale but acceptable.
Our first stop out of the hotel. Great prices. Service was excellent. Good varieties of beer.
Went here twice during a business trip to NOLA. The first time was for lunch in the middle of the day. It was super busy and while the food was amazing, the service was not great. I was only barely able to grab a plate of nachos and get back to my meeting on a 90 minute lunch break. Ended up there
Our first stop out of the hotel. Great beer prices, quick service. Stopped back later in the week late evening and sat outside. Had a beer and some late night snacks and Street watched people going by. Always a good crowd no matter what time of day. Didn’t eat a meal there but by the look of all
Upon the suggestion of our hotel front desk person, visited Ernsts, which was a couple blocks away, for a quick dinner. I had the grilled shrimp platter, which had a multitude of shrimp, waffle fries, and a tiny serving of jalapeno infused cole slaw. My wife had their red beans and rice. Both were d
Decent spot, decent food. Would go back more for appetizers than entrees, not that the entrees were bad at all.
This pub became our favorite place in New Orleans while we are staying. They have amazing beer offer!!!!!! Good music, and even good food. Highly recommend.
The food here was great. Brandon, our server was good as well. We had a buffalo chicken tender sandwich and a catfish po boy along with the bread pudding. The waffle fries were nice and crispy. The bread pudding, although good had a bit more cinnamon than I'm used to but it was still delicious. It w
The Ernst gumbo was really well flavored. Our table was full of food to try. No one was disappointed.
Stopped by here for lunch one day with my sister during our trip to NOLA. It was pretty good and decently priced! Our food came out super fast and our waitress was nice. I had the nachos and my sister had the jambalaya. Both of them were really good and the portions were a nice size!
What a great find while in Nola for essence fest...love hearing the music from the outside and vibe inside was chilled as well. I ordered the seafood gumbo and crab cakes which both were delicious. I will definitely to be here again during my next visit.
Petty good food. The Buffalo shrimp poboy looked amazing! The blue crab cake sandwich was more middle of the road -- could have used more jalapeño slaw for sure. Waffle fries were on point. If you like loud music and plenty of lively conversation, this is your kind of place.
Nice location. Staff was great. The food is really good! The desert pudding was not the best but the nachos were very good. Their French fries and ranch are very good. Not sure if the ranch is made in house, but it was tasty.
Out of all the great places we ate, Ernst Bar and Cafe was the real gem. The red beans and rice was perfect on a chilly, rainy first night in the city. We also had po'boys, the burnt ends macaroni and cheese, and waffle fries on the side. All was outstanding. Full of fresh flavor and authentic awes
