Amazing. The food, wow. Just cannot say anything that would do the Little Gem Saloon justice. Not only is the food delicious and leaves you wanting more, but the atmosphere, the historic building, the staff, especially the owners - Nick and Cheryl - are the most gracious and hosting people you will ever meet. If you are in NOLA visiting or are a local looking for a new go-to place, make Little Gem Saloon it!! Cannot wait to return!!

Classy joint with the Old Upscale New Orleans jazz club vibe. Great musicians are there almost ALWAYS, and the food is great! Attentive owner who takes a lot of pride in keeping the tradition alive. The new lunch buffet is great for travellers and downtown client meetings for some traditional fair without having to stray too far from the hotel.... Great ambience. Totally dig this joint.

We had our wedding reception at The Little Gem on 5/20. From our first email contact with them, to the menu tasting, to the many back and forth communications and the final reception, they could not have been more delightful to work with. We used the Ramp Room upstairs for our 50 guests and Kermit Ruffins on the stage and it was just perfect. The food was fantastic. It's not always easy to get buffet service and they did it perfect!!! Our guests raved about how delicious all of the food was. Cheryl was our main contact and was tremendous! Maria, Nick and all of the staff members made us feel right at home (even if we did show up 30 minutes early). It's an awesome venue with great history and management. The dinner shows are also enjoyable. Don't miss stoping by to check them out.

This place was the best find on our entire trip. Lucius was our waiter and he couldn't have been more attentive. We saw Kermit Ruffin's the night we were there.

We didn't arrive until after we had dinner elsewhere, but we ordered wine and a small appetizer to share while we listened to Kermit and his crew play jazz tunes. Had such an amazing time, the food was absolutely delicious, I want to come back to eat dinner here too, and the waiter was great! Time flew by so quickly that before I knew it, it was time to leave and it felt like I just had gotten there. Hands down, I would return!

I stumbled across the little gem saloon while exploring the area on foot and happen to notice a sign advertising there lunch buffet. I enjoyed the food, plus its and opportunity to try multiple dishes for only $14.00, which is low compared the all other places I ate at while in NOLA. If you're in the area, give em a try.

Great food and friendly staff! I stopped for lunch on the recommendations here and I was not disappointed. I had the fried chicken, which was excellent and reasonably priced. I'll be going back for the shrimp and grits.

These 5 stars are for the Jamison Ross Trio playing all week. The service is fine and the food is above descent. BUT this week you can see Jamison Ross’ tribute to Nina Simone and some songs from his upcoming album and he is a beautiful musician. I feel like am a better, kinder and cooler person bc I heard him tonight. Well worth the trip, meal and cover. I can’t wait to pay 3x the $ to hear him in NYC where I’m from. Check him out all week.

This is a great venue in NOLA. Good food and drinks, reasonably priced, along with a nicely designed layout to enjoy the featured music as well. Picture is International Jam Session closing out the 2018 FQ Fest.

Server was very friendly. Drinks took a while but they were very busy. My daughter and I had the buffalo tenders with the sauce on the side, the tenders were burnt so we weren't a fan of those, but the French fries were SO GOOD! We were there during the day but it seemed like a great place to hang out and have drinks while listening to music later on. The atmosphere was very nice.

Food was good but we came after a Saints game and service was very slow for food.

Service was excellent and friendly. Server adjusted our drinks to suit out tastes after we sampled them. Drinks had enough alcohol. The salad with apples, cranberries and pecan needed more chicken but was very tasty. The cornbread was sweet and warm with homemade butter. The music was good. I would definitely go back again.

Live music, great service, nice saloon, good food. We met an old friend here for dinner. They have a full bar, I tried two different local beers that were on tap. The music was very enjoyable; not loud, relaxing, and tasteful. No dancing, nothing wild. While we enjoyed the music, we had dinner; I had gumbo and truffle fries. We started with a cheese plate. Nice service.

Came for Mother's Day Blues Brunch. They actually flooded that night/morning but worked quickly to open only 15 minutes after the original start of the show. Little Freddie King was awesome, he took pics and signed autographs during his break. The food was pretty good, not amazing but good. the grits were a little hard for my liking. Bottomless mimosas were great.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Louisiana Style Bouillabaisse and Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. They were perfect! One of the best courses we have had in New Orleans. The service was superb also! And the music. Great jazz player. My husband and I were in new Orleans for 6 days and this was one of the best spots in town.

Great show by Deacon John and the Ivories. Nice atmosphere in an intimate (100ish seat) room. The hostess and owner / operator (I assume) were friendly and accommodating even though we didn't have dinner reservations (didn't realize we should have reservations because we bought tickets online). Fast, super friendly service and conversation by the bartenders and quick delivery and clearing by the wait staff. Great place to see some live music.

We spent Easter Sunday at The Little Gem for brunch and music by Little Freddie King. The service was excellent! The food was good, but extremely small portions and very over priced. If you come here, come for the music, not the food and you won’t be disappointed. I don’t mind paying well for food, but we all left hungry. Otherwise, it was clean and a nice venue!

Recently took my sons to the Little Gem to catch fine food and even finer Kermit Ruffins. We could not have had a better evening. The food is really top notch, and the wait staff is phenomenal! Everyone made it a point to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Thanks to everyone at the Gem who made ours a special night. We will definitely make a return trip.
