Delicious food with a fun relaxed atmosphere. Seafood linguini and flank steak were wonderful! Followed it up with amazing cheesecake for dessert. Very pretty murals on the walls. Our server, Carolina, was so nice and attentive!
Our food was good, and our server Joel was extremely nice and courteous. the pecan shrimp sampler was quite tasty.
Delicious Food. I'd normally expect a hotel restaurant to have outrageous prices, this is not the case here. The prices are comparable to other places for the amount of food you get and the taste. All the food we ordered was not deep fried which was nice, I was starting to get worried that is all you could find in the French Quarter.
We ordered Blackened fish tacos (delish) ($11 ); Crab Remoulade (incredible) ($10); Gulf Coast Cobb Salad ($15); and Apple pie ($7). All so good and worth trying!!!
We had great service too, the server did switch halfway through (we preferred our first one) but both were very friendly.
Amazing shrimp and crab bisque. I am staying at the hotel and yesterday I tried the seafood gumbo. I thought it was on par with any I have had in the city. After that experience I had lunch again today and tried the shrimp and corn bisque. I was the best I have ever had anywhere and I am a fan of a good bisque. It was so good I almost cried of joy. It was not too heavy or too thick but it was clearly the real deal.
Delicious Mac and Cheese. I went for Happy hour (half off) appetizers and had the Macaroni and Cheese and the Cheese plate. The Mac and Cheese is the best I've ever tasted. I thought I might just be hungry or over-zealous so a companion that arrived late tried it without my spoiler and proclaimed that it was the best mac and cheese they ever tasted. It had the perfect amount of creaminess and cheesiness. It is made with a penne pasta which holds the sauce well. The truffle oil is what I believe takes it over the edge and into its own class.
Kudos to the chef.
The ambiance of the place is fine however this is a Hotel bar/restaurant and can be quickly overrun with people and noise when a ballroom or conference breaks.
Did not rejoice à la French party mural. I asked for coffee but that freshly brewed pot took twenty minutes. Different servers attended to the same table and felt that service in general could be friendlier. The gumbo was great with chicken that was not overcooked. Truffle fries were yummy with an element of presentation. The shrimp remoulade was fresh and had a kick to it. The coffee creme brûlée was different but very good. Not so much when it came to the bread pudding nor the apple pie. Pricey desserts and the pre-included twenty percent gratuity for a party of five did not help the overall experience.

The macaroni and cheese is to die for! I had the crab cake (sooo delicious) and hubby had the pulled pork sandwich (also great) and the fries... Outstanding!!! Also, the best most attentive waiter Immanuel. A 5 star experience in the big easy!
Food pretty good / overpriced, Slow Service. Went there for lunch. Food good but overpriced for the serving size and meal. Had delicious crabmeat taco appetizer, though it was only three tiny tacos for $13, more than the cost of my burger or the Cochon De Lait sandwich. Service was extremely slow even though there were only 4/30 tables occupied. Very nice decor and location, I'm sure it would be nice for dinner with a piano player. Wouldn't go back for lunch.
My sister and I stopped in today for a small lunch after touring St. Louis cemetery No. 1. We loved it! The atmosphere was very relaxing and a bit refined. Our waiter was so polite and professional. We never had to ask for water refills or wait too long. The paintings on the wall really bring some life to the place, and it is just really nicely decorated overall.
I ordered the Sangria with the fruit and berries side plate. Both were delicious. My sister ordered the fried oyster salad, which she liked and would order again. The chanterelle mushrooms were a nice touch, and the buttermilk dressing was tasty. Would definitely like to come again for dinner because the menu looks great!
Great bar, excellent house cocktails and good live music.
Had a wonderful dining experience tonight. Atmosphere was quiet and intimate. Our server was friendly and spot on. I had their fried oyster salad; oysters were delicious and salad fresh, with chunks of blue cheese! Shared some sides; truffled fries were perfectly seasoned and served on parchment paper in a cone holder. The truffled mac & cheese made with cavatappi noodles was decadent.
Stayed at the Maison Dupuy hotel during my time in New Orleans; this place was very convenient and had great drinks. Not to mention the shrimp and grits were amazing.
Amazing food. Had the duck. This place is classier and higher quality than many surrounding restaurants. Worth the price.
High class joint. Spotless clean. Spacious. I like dive bars myself. But, any port in a storm.
If this place's food is like its dancing, get ready for their flavors to spin around each of your taste buds.
I'm sad to say that I haven't eaten here. I'd like to, but each person only deserves so much goodness in their life and doing so would send me well over the limit.
Maison Dupuy's Bistreaux has live music with dance events multiple nights per week. I'm a regular at the Thursday swing dance nights. Before I started dancing here on Thursdays I was, like you, a content mortal person, pleased with their lot. Since I started dancing at Maison Dupuy things have improved immeasurably. I will attempt to explain.
You know that feeling of fear you get when you're almost run over by a car? Or when you feel as if you're about to fall off a height? Those feelings are gone now because each night at 1:18am lightning strikes from the direction Polaris and enters my body through my solar plexus, sustaining my newfound immortality. I was taught how to receive these cosmic electric blessings during one of the free dance classes they offer before the dance events.
Remember the first time you fell in love? I feel that every day. No, I don't feel the first time "I" fell in love every day, I feel the first time YOU fell in love every day. Why'd you leave them? You could have made that work. Anyway, I feel the first time everyone else in the world fell in love, every since day, typically between 7pm and 8pm as that's when I'm headed to Maison Dupuy to go dancing on one of the best dance floors in New Orleans.
This place also has hotel rooms. Can't help you with that. I'm just here with tidings of dance, love, and immortality. Maybe someone at the front desk can help you with the room.
Just stopped here for the second time on our vacation. First time was just a quick drink. Service was great, drinks were great. Today we has breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich and my wife had the stuffed French toast. Both were totally awesome and we didn't experience any of the delays noted in other reviews. This was honestly the best breakfast we've had our whole trip, and probably the best French toast we've ever eaten. Would totally recommend this place!
Wonderful experience! Seafood was fresh and hot! Staff was very accommodating- We got the Friday special, Shrimp Etouffee and it was delish! Not a huge serving, but just what you need to walk down Bourbon (about 3 mins away) and start the party!!!
Excellent Thursday & Friday night swing or blues bands with expert dance instruction beforehand.
