I have to say that I've never ate a nicer steak than my red eye steak that night. The service was excellent, as expected for the price. Why 4 stars? Because when we asked for our wine they didn't have it but instead of telling us they didn't say anything, we had to ask ourselves where is the wine? And then they told us they didn't have it. Drinks where great too! Thank you

I love this place! Best food in New Orleans hands down!! The steak was sooo delightful we all had to taste of bite of each others! I will definitely be back next time I come to NOLA! Ohhh and that dessert was to die for!!! I recommend coming here for sure!!

Outstanding service by the bartender. Food was delicious as usual. Perfect for a date as well as dining alone.

Went here for my birthday with friends and it was great. Our food was delicious and the server was excellent, definitely coming back

My husband and I had a really good time. He enjoyed his birthday tremendously, and our server, Kali, was really nice. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is because I did not appreciate the managers', chauvinistic directing of their attention solely to my husband, especially since I WAS PAYING, and I ate too. Attention should have been given to the entire table. Also, the char-grilled oysters as an appetizer were under-cooked, but our server was really attentive, and made sure we enjoyed every plate from that point onward that came to our table!

Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere.

I got the lobster special and enjoyed it very much. The tomato and blue cheese salad delicious and large enough to share (I didn't ). Our server dropped the ball by not putting in the order for two of our sides and misquoting the price on a wine special. The food was great and I hope that our visit was in our servers first week on the job...

You can never go wrong at Morton's. The service was excellent. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the molten chocolate cake for dessert. The beer selection thrilled my husband...German beer in New Orleans!!

Exclent as always, great atmosphere and wait staff

The service, the atmosphere AND the food were heavenly. Our servers, T and T, could NOT have been anymore pleasant and accomodating. The music and decor were terrific. The food... Perfection! The portions were huge, the flavor devine and the presentation outstanding. Highly recommended.

Very nice upscale steakhouse reminiscent of some other chain restaurants I've dined at. The food, ambience and service were all exquisite and met my expectations. A good fine dining establishment worthy of a visit if you're wanting something different than the cajun/creole fare offered throughout the city. Another great experience in NOLA.

Will Not Recommend. I took my wife to the New Orleans location for her b-day. I had the bone in ribeye which was ok, both my wife and daughter had filets all the steaks were cooked perfect but we have had better tasting steaks before. This place cannot compare to Ruth Chris at all. The Shrimp Alexander was highly recommended by our waitress but it wasn't (like wow) I'll give it 2 stars. Make sure u stay away from the sour cream mashed potatoes which tasted like box potatoes from home, they were horrible and also the macaroni and cheese I actually sent both of them back. So I feel like I paid 200 plus dollars for the decor which was 5 stars the food was more like 2 1/2 stars.

Truly a disappointing experience!. Took a party of 6 to Morton's a few nights ago. The service was beyond slow, and my filet was tasteless. It didn't help my attitude when I chose a $60 bottle of wine that retails for $9 at Costco. Restaurant was totally empty, but they put a table of frat boys right behind us and they were so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation. The only bright spot to the dinner was the cauliflower side dish... truly delicious, but not worth the $500 price tag.

Not worth your time!. Service was very slow . The scallops were under cooked ! Steak had no flavor . Guess the Mac and cheese was worth 250.00 . Rude staff .

After spending 40 dollars on a cab to Morton's after checking on urbanspoon to make sure they were open got there and they were closed talked to someone at canal place and were informed that they are never open for lunch very disappointed

Bad steak. Morton's "cajun " ribeye was horrible last night. $45 prime steak and I would rather have had a lucky dog on Bourbon Street. The brand has changed since Fertitta/Landry's acquired the restaurant. We had a great steak 2 years ago so our expectations were very high. I rarely send food back for obvious reasons, but I made an exception last night. Two tries and it was still cooked wrong. I did not matter as the steak itself was not "prime" as represented. Never again will I eat at a Landry's restaurant. There was a lot more to not like, but I am tired of being mad at them. Just don't go there.

Tasty. I liked the food, the staff wasn't great, but I wasn't there to speak to the staff. I had a wonderful time. Creamed spinach was very good, steak was great, and the sommelier was knowledgable.

So far I am not impressed. Sat at bar and he was rude, did not help me with selection of wine and ready to order but he was rude again and said he could only take drink orders at the time, he didn't have time for food orders... We had been sitting for over 15 minutes without anything:-/

The service and personnel were lame. For $50.00 an entree, I expect waiters to have a clean appearance, more food than we actually got and not pay $70 for a $25.00 bottle of wine. The atmosphere is very nice and chic, but not really worth it.

It is a very nice, contemporary atmosphere. The staff was very friendly & restrooms clean. But this was my 1st & last time at this restaurant.
There is an onion loaf they bring first, it is too doughy and the onions are overpowering. And I love onions.
The lobster bisque is too watery & without flavor. I had to send it back because I just could not eat it.
The filet had a great flavor, better than their ribeye! It was perfectly cooked & tender, but was served on a room temp porcelain plate, therefore, it went cold very quickly. The creamed spinach had too much pepper and was not as creamy as most would expect. It was a nice sized portion.
The steamed asparagus was fine, again, it was served on a plate and went cold too quickly.
The mixed grill platter had shrimp & scallops and both were cooked perfectly.
The Key lime pie was good, despite the charred crust. It did not have a strong lime taste.

Why all the fuss?. I went to happy hour....super slow service. Worst mojito ever. Dull, unmemorable food. Oddly shaped room with too much furniture that feels overcrowded with only 10 people in the room. Totally without personality. Sooo not happy hour.

Bad service was the fault of the management. The bar was only staffed by the bartender who had to make complicated drinks, take orders, run food, clear tables and answer the phone.

New owners screwed it up.. Rather go to crescent city or charlie's for 1/2 the price.

Bye bye tradition. What happened to Morton's quality. Staff does not know menu or service. Landry needs to stick with fast food and leave fine dining alone. I have experienced 7 Morton's prior to take over. Now I will never be back. Hello Ruths Chris. Please remove the iconic pigs from the table or teach the waiters why they are here.

For special occassions only!!. I love the food at Mortons, it's wonderful. We had Christmas Eve dinner there and found something for everyone. However $9 mixed drinks and $12 plain salads just dont make this a great option for regular dining. Neither does the fact that they dont tell you the price of the specials.

YUMMM!. My absolute favorite steakhouse! Everything is fantastic! Yes, it's a bit pricey - but you totally get what you pay for! The martinis are HUGE and the desserts are completely delicious. Get the carrot cake - or the hot chocolate cake. The "cajun" ribeye is my favorite steak! So great! We will definitely be back!

Not worth the money. We dined here with 3 other friends. The food was not worth the money it cost. The appetizers were very small (could not share between 5 of us. 3 scallops and 4 oyster rockefeller were given) I would have preferred cooking everything we got at home. I feel maybe my expectations were a little high after dining at Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa. But overall we were not impressed and felt ripped off. The service was excellent except for a 30 minute presentation before being given menus. I do not need a live lobster, raw meat or raw vegetables to be shown to me.

Was worth all money spent here!!! The bread !! The shrimp appetizers , the ribeye !!!! I love this place!!!

The happy hour is worth going! They have a $5 bites menu from 5-630pm & 9-1030pm. Get there early the bar sits maybe 24.

Lack Luster. I know Many consider Morton's one of the finest steak houses in the city, but for me it was just lack luster. I have been here several times (my family loves this place), and the food is ok, the steaks are good (though the big steak presentation before every meal is so unecessary). The prices are crazy HIGH even for a fine steak house, and no, the reason I don't like them is not because the steaks don't come sizzling in butter (that would make it better though ;) I just don't care for the food. The crab cakes are good, the atmosphere is nice other than that , for me, Morton's is just ehh...

Went this weekend. Family friendly and great service.the scallops were delicious

Poor service, disgusting dessert. We went over the weekend to Morton's in New Orleans. The filets were good, the sides were decent, but the dessert (souffle) was inedible and we were not give satisfactory results when we complained.
When our steaks were brought over, we had only forks, they had forgotten to bring knives with our steaks!!!!! Our waiter had disappeared, but luckily we were sitting near the storage area for knives, so I walked and picked them up for us. The restaurant was too warm, perhaps they are trying to conserve energy, my wife mentioned how warm it was to the manager, and he said he would adjust the temperature, but it never became cooler.

While it is a chain, I have encountered a few people who recommend Morton's The Steakhouse. I, however, tend to avoid any restaurant with Steakhouse in its name, because I don't exactly love steak. My boyfriend loves steak though and has always wanted to come here so
