The BEST boil in town! We went as a party of 7 and everyone loved the seafood. I personally enjoyed their mango margaritas and crawfish boil - medium spicy, Cajun seasoned. The right spice for our Indian taste buds! Must visit this place

First, they were totally awesome when it came to helping us make a reservation for 9 people. Then we got there early because the Uber service was phenomenal and they sat us immediately! We all ordered and the food came out super quick and was delicious. The Staff was super friendly and treated us like regulars. This was one of the most relaxing meals I have ever had that included so many people! I had boiled shrimp and crawfish beignets and I do not regret either choice. So glad we found this place!!!

The food is super flavorful. While I don’t eat pork, I do believe the seafood might be cooked in it. The garlic is very tasty and the Cajun isn’t bad. I believe I’ll stick to the garlic sauce at this place because the garlic chunks aren’t very big but there is still a punch. The Carribean butter is nice and sweet. The service was absolutely horrible. I had a young Asian man as a server and while I was he was new, he doesn’t have any intuitive service skills. I had to ask multiple times for water, spoon for my rice, the sauces for my food (because I asked for them on the side), and I essentially did not get any attention- I had to walk to the bar. One woman (I believe she’s a manager) stepped it and the service got better but the young man just wasn’t good to me at all except toward the end. Also, they don’t have wifi and for some reason I didn’t have service to call an Uber. It made me late to my appointment. I would eat here again but only if I had nothing to do afterwards. The fries aren’t shareable size in my opinion and the rice isn’t a lot of either.

Great seafood boil! We enjoyed several options of the seafood boils as well as the gumbo, fried shrimp and the charboiled oysters. Everything was excellent! Atmosphere was casual and very comfortable and would recommend to anyone looking for a low key spot and great seafood.

4.5 rounded up to a 5. Overall, the food was good. No problems. Everything was seasoned well and our server (tall guy with dark hair, was friendly and patient) For the shack - Crab legs, shrimp (head off extra $4), sausage, 2 corn, and 2 potatoes it was around $45-$50 The side salad and side of fries were good Our bill was around $70 Would I come back here? Yes. But I would be willing to try other restaurants since they're so many in New Orleans. Have a seen prices lower at other places for the same exact meal with same quality? Yes.

We were looking for one last local eatery before heading to the airport to return home and the Uber driver recommended this place. The food, the service, the atmosphere…EVERYTHING was fantastic! We had their Chargrilled Oysters and WHOA! Whatever combination of ingredients they used on top was addictive! If I could’ve taken some on the plane, I would’ve. Also, ordered a Shrimp Po’Boy that was delicious, as well. Those gulf shrimp are really something to write home about! And one item they had that I hadn’t seen at any other restaurant stop we made was Bayou Rolls! Let’s just say it’s all of “Nawlins” wrapped nicely in an egg roll/spring roll! It was Cajun rice, Crawfish tails, Gulf Shrimp, Andouille Sausage, and Mozzarella and the blend was crazy good! The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was inviting. We’ll be back next time, for sure.

the set bowl was delicious with lobster legs and shrimp and sausage and corn and potatos. I definitely recommend the house boil sauce. crawfish benign was delicious. but the service was horrible. granted, we came probably in as their last costumers. The waiter was not taking our order, then was asking for us to pay the check while our hands were deep in seafood. Not acceptable service. i don't care how late it is. we were rushed out of there. atmosphear is very casual.

The oysters and the calamari here was very delicious. The broil that we got needed a little bit more flavor and Cajun seasoning. It wasn't very busy when we went so it was nice to practically have the place with a few people there to enjoy our dinner. Afterwards we were able to walk down the avenue and visit some shops.

So Amazing! Best crab I've had in awhile. And the server recommended combining all the flavors which was the best decision ever! I'm sad I forgot his name but he was such a great server. Great service..Great food. Great experience. Good prices. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered calamari, cup of gumbo, crawfish, chargrilled oysters, and Cajun pasta. The calamari was crispy and very good. The gumbo was ok. It was made well, I personally prefer a thicker roux. I didn't try the pasta, but my niece said she did enjoy it very much. The crawfish was a medium Cajun flavor. There is just enough heat to taste and a very good flavor. The chargrilled oysters were so tasty. My only regret was that I ordered a half dozen instead of a dozen. I would return just for the oysters. The staff was very friendly, fast, and attentive. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere.

Service was ok. I thought the crabcakes were small and could have used more of the sauce. The portions were hugh and very filling. My only issue was the food seemed salty buy I'm finding that is a theme here in New Orleans.

TLDR: Fun experience with good eats. Longer review: If you're someone who loves shellfish and getting your hands a little messy, this is your spot! I have done some seafood boils with friends at home that was simple, but we really wanted to do a boil with some crawdads after our bayou swamp tour. We got The Taste of New Orleans and it was such a great experience. We'd never processed crawfish before, so our server gave us some tips on how to get the meat and off we went. Maybe it was because it wasn't crawfish season, but I doubt I'd care to get them next time I did something like this again, but it was still worth trying. I was hoping the andouille would be a bit spicier, but still tasty overall. We had a blast and would definitely return on our next visit to NOLA.

We were walking and passed by in the evening and looked in. It was packed, people waiting to get in. The seafood boils looked amazing. We just had to go. So the next day we were there as soon as they opened. We ordered their seafood boil that contains crayfish, shrimp with the head on, potatoes, sausage and corn, The Cajun Classic, Medium hot. We were not deceived. Succulent and incredibly tasty. The raw oysters were great.

Awesome seafood boil. Great flavor and very reasonable pricing. Be careful with your spice level...we ordered medium and it was blazin! Had the charbroiled oysters also, and they were delicious! The place is very comfortable with plenty of AC for those hot days.

Brent was such an amazing server and made our experience 10x better! He did an amazing job helping us with the menu and even taught us how to eat the crawfish since it was our first time trying it. The food was incredible and the restaurant has a great atmosphere!
