I can't imagine a better Po Boy sandwich. I've had both the shrimp and the oyster. Great bread, which is key, but their real clincher is that their frying game is on point! Their batter is perfectly seasoned and comes out perfectly crispy and crunchy. Delicious sauces are all made from scratch. One tip, though: All food items come from upstairs, so keep that in mind when you need something from your server. Do you need a side of sauce? Your server has to take an elevator or staircase to retrieve it, so be courteous and plan accordingly.
We find that Landry’s Seafood House is a fun and energetic place. The service is always great and the personnel are friendly. The decor is really fun and the outdoor seating provides a marvelous view of the river. Being a franchise I find the food is not as good as some of the local restaurants. That said, it is good and some folks may even prefer it. The upstairs bar is also very nice and has a great happy hour during the week.
This restaurant is spectacular, the view, place, food, service was all absolutely top of the line. I went with a party of 4 twice during my trip and was seated instantly due to the reservation system. We shared starters both times. I had redfish with a topper the first time and a ribeye the second time, the food was the best I've had within this genre. Another point is the price, with drinks we probably spent $500+ before the tip. I do not regret a single cent of that and could not recommend more.
See Blake for Happy Hour! We had an amazing time this afternoon during happy hour. Blake was such a great server and answered any questions we had, and gave us tips on places to go in the city, she made our experience extra special. The happy hour prices on drinks and food are very reasonable, we will definitely come back on our next visit to New Orleans.
I'm not huge on the seafood but the gf wanted oysters so we came here and were not disappointed. She got her oysters and I ordered a burger (they did ask how I wanted it done) we also got some fried alligator and 2 very good drinks. If you are a big seafood fan I highly suggest this place I know if you are here there is a lot to choose from but I would definitely say to make this a stop. It's a little pricey but everything is around here so ignore the tab and enjoy lol.
Standing New Orleans fare. The crawfish etouffee was excellent. Seafood gumbo was pretty good. My friend enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. I ordered an Old Fashioned style drink that wasn't the best. But overall we enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the Mississippi with ships passing by. Nice place to be in the afternoon.
Visiting from out of state to celebrate our birthdays and our anniversary. Such an amazing experience. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation and were seated pretty much immediately after. We were made aware that our server may be slightly delayed due to shift changes which we were okay with due to this being our first time and wanting to take time checking out the menu. Our server (Blake) came to us within 10 minutes and she was amazing from start to finish. We also received two complimentary desserts due to our special occasion and also received a drink on the house. Every single dish and drink that we experienced were a 10/10. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits the city and I will come back whenever i am back in town!
This one took us by surprise. We new it would be good but outstanding is an understatement. The service was impeccable, the food will be part of my day dreams as we head back to Michigan.
Gumbo - We went with the Shrimp and Crab. Lots of both were represented.
Blackened Red Fish - Melted in my mouth. With the Melissa topping, which gave us the fresh Scallops and Shrimp on it.
BBQ Shrimp - The BBQ Shrimp, the sauce… The sauce. Incredible… Have I mentioned the sauce?
Bananas Foster - Is worth the stop on its own.
We just had a delicious lunch at the Landry's Seafood House in the French Quarter. The seafood gumbo had perfectly cooked shrimp in it. My main course grilled salmon was outstanding. Honey's burger, fries, and fried onion strings were too good to have been ordered at a seafood restaurant. We'll definitely be back.
Food was amazing! Definitely get the fried alligator and crawfish bread. Prices are pretty good and with a great view of the River. Definitely a must go to!
Fresh food and the lunch box was a good deal. Gumbo and fried fish and shrimp for $14. (Only available weekdays)
We went here with a tour group the food was good especially the rice however my shrimp plate only had five pieces of shrimp and a small handful of fries it could have been better for the price the staff was really nice and very helpful.
Very good food. Big portions, we couldn't finish. Nice view. Nice staff.
Out of 10 meals, 8 were lukewarm. Server and her helper werr great, but the restaurant was understaffed that evening, so food came out slowly. The manager was contacted and we voiced our concerns with him. He offered free desserts and we were given a bottle of wine at no cost.
The atmosphere was great as was the decor. I would go back again.
If you want to get an entire NOLA experience on one plate, order the Gulf Coast Classic. Delicious and filling! The service was impecable and the atmosphere really added to a memorable dining experience. Their espresso is high-quality, too.
Stopped in for a drink. Blown away. Went to the rooftop, and Junior was amazing! Drinks were on point, let me tell you! Best bartender I’ve had in awhile. Had some oysters on a half shell (monster oysters), so good should have more! Also had the corn and crab bisque, so damn good. We’re planning on coming back before we leave…. Juniors service is top notch!
I know it’s a chain, but I tell you, you can eat at a 100 different ma and pop shops (and I have) and still never find consistency and quality like Landry's. Oysters, gumbo, bisque, étouffée, fish, chicken, crab cakes etc all beyond solid. Service on point, restaurant, clean and classy. Highly recommended.
