New Orleans Hood spot with some of the best wings and seasoned catfish I have ever had..and I do not even like catfish. Not exactly a health food joint, but the portions are healthy and the service is fast and friendly! My family and I were taken there by a local and I figured if Master P and 5th Ward Weebie were in the parking lot, it must be a worth a try. Simply amazing and full of flavor. Kinda wishing they were a franchise. You cannot see directly into the kitchen, but who cares, you'd have the same issue in a drive-thru. I recommend this place for sure and you might want to add the salad to your meal just so you can feel healthy. LOL! Delish!

Food was great, and there was a large variety to choose from! The method for ordering/picking up food could be more efficient. But, nonetheless, I will definitely be back here!

Absolutely THE BEST fried chicken and fried rice combination in New Orleans! You can't beat the value and deliciousness of the food they serve. Place is sketchy and run down, but I DONT CARE. I will always visit this joint whenever I'm in town. TO GO orders only.

In the sprawling, often confusing and yet alluring cosmic stew that is the city of New Orleans, a place named Manchus has found its spot among the star-dust and galaxies of Cajun and Creole flavors. It's a humble outpost, more terrestrial than the rest, but its simple existence in this universe is a triumphant narrative against the cosmic indifference. Manchus doesn't whisper promises of ethereal delights, but rather offers an honest, earthbound pleasure - chicken wings. Not just any wings, mind you, but the best in New Orleans. They exist not as a blip in the culinary cosmos, but as a radiant pulsar. The wings, from their crispy exterior to the succulent meat within, are metaphors for life itself – full of complexities, surprises, and ultimately, fulfilling. Seasoned with spices that seem to mimic the randomness of life, they offer a profound satisfaction that resonates within the eater, like a well-told story. So here's Manchus, unassuming and sturdy in its endeavor, navigating the chaos of the gastronomic universe with a simple mantra: make good chicken wings. And that, dear reader, it does exceptionally well. And so it goes.

Good value for money but the wings weren’t super hot and fried rice was weird. Not sure why they dye the shrimp red. If the food was made to order it would be better.

The wings here are well worth the trip. I first learned the lingo of "flats" and "drums" here and now I'm all the wiser. Get yourself here and enjoy ALL they have to offer.

I had their chicken wings, and as a fried chicken connoisseur, I can confidently say they have the best fried chicken in a 1500 mile radius. We had to go back a second time in the same day to make sure, and the second time was every bit as satisfying as the first.

Great place for an inexpensive bite to eat. Being located in downtown New Orleans, parking is a nightmare but MANCHU'S is definitely worth it‼️

Nice little store right next to the air bnb we stayed at. Great customer service & very decently priced. We ordered the fried chicken wings and they were moist and had so much flavor! 10/10 recommend!

Oh man, sooo delicious. I asked the girl ordering ahead of me what to get, and she said split an order between the regular and the bbq. Truth be told, I liked the regular fried a lot more. Ate them in a backyard a block away with a cold beer — best on a steamy day. Unrelated, but a rooster jumped into the backyard at the same time. Yeah, I chased him. So what?

I regularly comes here 1-2 a year with out of town guests or large gatherings. It only “loses” a star bc it isn’t the healthiest. Price? Great. Large pan of 50 Wings and fried fish? Dope. Fried rice? Probably MSG/salty. Area is semi-hood but very safe. I know that sounds oxymoronic but it’s true. I’ve been here a dozen times and felt safe. Could I give it 5-stars? Yes, but it’s definitely not healthy but definitely delicious.
