Such an amazing little spot in Algiers! I've never had bad service, and the food/sushi is delicious! If you like sashimi then try the Salmon Toro!
Ordered food fairly fast here. The hibachi double filet mignon was tasty. Maybe medium to medium well. The filet still had some beef taste and not overcooked. The seafood bake appetizer was also good. The meal also came with salad, soup, and rice. The price for the meal wasnt bad either. They also sell sushi. I wiol have to try that next
Haven't been to a restaurant to dine in since last year before the pandemic shut down. I asked my husband to bring me for lunch at Umi 2 for my birthday since the food is great. Ordered so much for two people since it is hard to pick because it all tastes delicious. For appetizer we had fried calamari and the vegetable tempura. For main course got the Donbury, both beef and chicken. Donbury is my favorite dish to order. Between both, I would say Beef Donbury is better. The beef is tender, dish is well seasoned and the egg scrambled makes it perfect. Ask for sriracha and chili oil to eat this dish with. Also wanted to try their beef udon soup. Was really impressed with it. The soup was very flavorful and had lots of vegetables and sliced beef. Really enjoyed it all. Umi 2 has good quality food for reasonable price. Definitely will want to come again.

My Eel bowl lunch. So pretty๐ Umi is always my place to go for my Eel cravings. Their rolls nice and full,never fall apart and always fresh. If I dine in- the plates always look pretty and appetizing. And their servers are always nice and friendly even if they are super busy at times. ๐

The shrimp fried rice and sushi ๐ฃ with crabmeat wrapped in a Shrimp ๐ค is my favorite. My #1 go to for a quick bite to eat and the portions of the food is plenty, you can eat off a lunch or dinner at least 2 to 3 times. Or you can share it with someone as well, and still be left full and satisfied.
Super delicious and affordable!!! All this plus appetizer was $67 for 2 people. Totally worth it!!
Best Sushi in New Orleans! Amazing quality, good portions, and very nice service! The ambience is perfect for a quick lunch or nice dinner! Sake selection is good and the menu has options for everyone! Kids menu is perfect as well! Must try the sashimi here! Unagi is perfection too!

Had some mistakes like messing up my order, but overall, I had a good time there.
Waitress was a little less than as 3 of 4 orders came out fine and 4th order was another 10 minutes later.
It doesnโt look like much from the outside, but this is definitely the best sushi on the West Bank! Beautiful, artistic presentation. The restaurant has high ceilings and sparkling crystal light fixtures. Friendly, attentive staff. So happy we tried it!!!

So my wife and i been on a sushi kick for a while and we been trying sushi spots all over the city. We been wanting to try umi for a while but we always went somewhere else, well now im not going anywhere else! Their food is so delicious and fresh and the service was top notch. Im going to tell everyone i know that eat sushi to at least go and try umi's once and i bet they will go again!!

They take a while to greet you but then the service is pretty good. They are friendly and pretty fast. The only real issue I have with this place is the parking lot is really small. It's not easy to fimd an open spot and I usually have to walk from the other end but I guess that's how it is with good food. Everyone wants it.
