Visited this place my last night in New Orleans and had a wonderful time. The drinks were amazing and they had a live band, I cannot remember the name but the lead singer was amazing!! Definitely recommend this place!

We find Cafe Negril to be one of the coolest spots on Frenchman Street. They have really good food, a great selection of local beers and some of the best jazz you I have heard in the city. We like to buy a drink, sit back and experience some really nice entertainment in an air conditioned environment.

Nice place to stop in to listen to live jazz. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. After grabbing a bite at Dat Dog across the street, saw this across the way and heard the live music playing. Happy I stopped in. Draws a more mature/relaxed crowd (at least when I stopped in). So if you’re looking for chill jazz - good place to visit.

Great spot on Frenchman, awesome place to hear live music. Heard the Villains play here, cant find any info on them but if you see them on the schedule its an amazing experience, the staff was really nice and the place had a cool vibe. If i come back to the area I'd choose to pop back in.

Fun spot with great music on Frenchman street! The service was a little slow but that didn't matter because they were friendly and the overall vibe was laid back. The band playing that night was fun and extremely entertaining. We had a fun night

Cafe Negril is a classic live music dive bar in Frenchman St. I enjoyed the band who were playing (we visited on a Sunday night). Almost folksy jazz if that's a thing. We visited on a Sunday night after a Saints game and got a table easily at around 7.30pm. The service was friendly but I was a bit disappointed with my gin and tonic. It was really strong and served in a plastic disposable cup. No need for that in 2023 - recyclable paper cups or metal alternatives would be much better.

This a great place to stop by and grab a couple of drinks. There is no cover charge although there is a one drink minimum. Which is not bad, I ordered a couple of appetizers first was the Whambam Shrimp. They were delicious. The wings were nice and crispy the lemon pepper rub was on point. Finally the debris fries were amazing!! They had smoked roast beef with gravy and mozzarella chesse! Highly recommend these fries. The bands that were there that night were great! If I ever come back to NOLA I will come back to this spot!

Located in Frenchmans away from the madness of Bourbon Street I found this bar a great blend live music and bar, rather than club atmosphere. Over several nights i saw a varied lineup of bandd perform around the rock, blues, funk genres. I didn't see any pure jazz while I was there. - Open until about 2am. - Tuesday is jam night, open to all with talent - beers $7-8 for a stubby - food until late. Good burger $14 - $5 cover after 8pm(?) Overall highly recommend.

Great and friendly staff made this an enjoyable stop for live music and a drink. A Frenchman Street classic with fun jazz bands and frozen drink machines. We were there early so no cover charge. Excellent food choices here! We just grabbed a few tacos as a snack, but the fish and shrimp were excellent! This place will be a regular stop on future trips to town.

Great music, there were at least 3 differ bands that played when we visited. Server was attentive and quick. Drinks and prices average for the area.

Music is usually great. Bar selection and service is good. Table service is slow. Some very good local musicians play here regularly, so I do recommend.

In town with my best friend and we just HAD to stop by here. Such a great bar to visit! I would go back for our bartender (Mel) alone. She really made our experience here great. She was so friendly and attentive! The live music on Monday was amazing as well! Between the staff, atmosphere, live music... I couldn't recommend Cafe Negril highly enough.
