Just had my first snowball of the season. It had to be from y'all! All the way from Avondale just to get it but so worth it. Excellent service and always friendly. I'll definitely keep coming back!
Really good place to go. The community has changed. This is a amazing food place and really good sno balls. The building need to be re painted and the business need to be renamed. With the clientele changing the menu need to change. it need to be a restaurant that sells poboys and new orleans cuisine. Coffee and cappuccinos need to be on the menu. The inside need to he redone to be a place with tables and coffee house feel. Lots of money to be made if re branded.

I must submit, I believe I have a new favorite snowball stand in the Gentilly area. STOP JOCKIN!!! I do love the name… it’s a little old school, but catchy.
I pass this snowball stand all the time hopping onto the 610 interstate and when I wanted to stop in they were closed.
But I see now, they have more consistent hours now. The food is good. Great price. Great taste. Snowballs are extraordinary. Great price. Excellent taste. The ice is so soft in your mouth. It just literally melts in your mouth. I saw a lady coming by for snowballs no syrup, that ice only… Proof positive that people like the ice here. The flavors are off the chain. I never had a dry snowball from here, sounds like an oxymoron, but it happens. They’ve always been succulent, moist, juicy and very flavorful.
I’ve also had the pleasant opportunity to purchase food from this establishment. The food is processed really quickly, and as I stated previously, the taste is good. And I while I’ve not had everything on the menu, the things that I have had have all been tasty and fair in pricing. The cups are thick styrofoam, I never had to worry about puncturing the bottom of the snowball, nor did I have to worry about the sides being so flimsy that they broke once I grabbed these cups. I’ve been here more than a few times and I must admit the lines will form quickly, however the staff are quick with reducing the line and processing orders. I am unsure if this location stays open year-round, but as it stands now I plan to visit them daily until I find out otherwise.
10/10 I would recommend! I tried their crawfish egg rolls after hearing the lady in front of me order them. They did not disappoint they were sooooo flavorful and delicious! I also got a small snoball that was so good. I love that they put a gummy at the bottom of their sno balls. I feel like it’s a lil prize for finishing it.❤️ Also, very affordable I got both of these items for $10.
Tooo good. Ice so soft, perfect for the babies with no teeth. I wanted a snowball so bad that I told my sister to drive me. Snowball was so good that the medium didn’t even feel like enough. 12/10 recommend
Fried shrimp nachos! I'm gonna say it again, fried shrimp nachos! They're equally as good as the crawfish nachos. So, the fried shrimp are perfectly seasoned, fresh, not greasy at all. The nacho cheese has a little bit of a kick, but not to spicy. The chips were thick and crisp, very fresh. Food truck quality at a snoball stand. The shaved it was very soft, very fine. I prefer a coarser grind, but most people are looking for soft fluffy snow, just preference. They're heavy handed with the syrup, but it's easy to ask for light syrup. Both flavors I tried, tasted delicious, bubble gum and pina colada. Do yourself a favor and get condensed milk. Friendly, polite staff. Parking is tight but both times we went, I found a spot without a problem. There's a tiny restaurant next door too that I intend to try next time I'm in town.
Stop Jockin Snoballs has took over a few snoball stands in my favorites rankings. The ice is smooth, generous syrup, and the syrups are flavorful. I had the Hawaiian flavor. The down is that I was not aware that they place these huge gummy bears at the bottom of the snoball. That should be places on the top of them.
I also ordered the crawfish nachos. The crawfish was well seasoned. I just don't think they matched with nacho cheese. They need queso.
The service was one of the fastest I have experienced at a snoball stand and the service was pleasant.
I will return and highly recommend Stop Jockin

Today Thursday May 12,2022 was our very first day going to stop jockin snowballs. I had wild cherry w/Pina colada and my husband had grape/pineapple. We enjoyed our snowballs but not the gummie bear in it. Will go back so we can try the crawfish nachos
I really love this place and the snowballs are amazing, the nachos, everything! I don't know why people think Pandora's is so great, and that Hansen's line around the corner ew lol and all them other knock offs. Honestly if I'm not going to this place, I'm on the WESTBANK Berhman Hwy. by the plasma center! I drive far for quality lol Everytime I come to STOP JOCKIN I end up ordering some flavor I thought I'd never try and I love it. I'm really a cream of ice cream snowball person lol. Stop Jockin urges me to try anything. Great flavors and smooth ice! Especially crawfish or shrimp nachos so so good because I usually prefer my crawfish boiled lol!! Best ever since Magazine Sno Wizard is gone.
Great snow cones and the best part was I found a gummy bears in the ice. Fast service. Also ordered shrimp and fries and it was really taste.
They was so good but my fried shrimp was too seasoned to be in nacho cheese.. use less seasoning pls. It was still good tho.😆snowball super good..

Alright this is my most favorite snowball place ever. After skateboarding, I come here to try one of the many flavors. I have not been disappointed with any of them. The service is always fast And very friendly. We travel all the way from Kenner just to come to this place because it's so amazing!

We go here all the time. I like that they have kiddie snowballs for $1. They also sell hot food and are quick. I never carry cash and have been short twice by like $1 and each time the owner told me not to worry about it. This is customer service and will keep regulars coming back. This place is definitely in it for the people and community.
This place is one of my favorite hidden gems in the city. They have THE BEST snoballs around. And ( when in season) they have the best crawfish fries! Ive been going to this place for over 10+ years so give the a try!!
Amazing snowballs and food. Can't beat the chilli cheese hotdogs or the crawfish nachos! The only place that makes a good tiger's blood snowball! This black owned business accepts all forms of payment. Mr Jimmy is great at the Stop Jockin barbershop too! Love them, they have my loyalty.
It's the Perfect Snowball Shop. Soft ice!!, always gives alot of Syrub! Many flavors! Create your snow ball or nachos however you like! I love when a place lets you create what you want!! Currently my go too. I am a local.😎💖🍧🍨🍦
