Only been in New Orleans for 24 hours and I have to say that this place is great.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I discovered this little buffet about 2yrs ago. Food in N.O. that's good, hot, fast, and cheap, has been almost non-existent since Katrina. Gone are the Austin Leslie's and the lady down the street at the corner store, so Cajun King fills that gap. You get a little chianese which a box now alone is 7.50 and some of the BEST fried chicken in town... in fact that's the first thing I go for. There is something for everyone. If you are truly hood and like boiled turkey necks then they have that, if you want a little gumbo... not your momma's but a taste to keep ya going till the cold weather holidays, then a little bowl won't hurt you. The red beans are like popeyes, and I always get me a salad which overfills me especially when I put the house tartar sauce on for dressing. The fried fish is also one of my favs... so for the price which I am thankful is in my unemployed range, I can eat like a queen and not be so guilty about it.. HATERS leave this place alone if you gotta find something wrong.!
Well, I'm eating here as I write this. Its what id expect from a cheap buffet. Dried out food, lots of meat few veggies. But the fried chicken and fried fish are good. Whichb is sad for an asian buffet. Customer service was very nice.
All you can Eat at Cajun/Soul Food...Very good food for a very good price. Very clean! They have a little bit of everything. Excellent gumbo, cabbage, fried chicken, fried catfish, red beans and baked chicken. Have lots of flavors in food. Love the selection on this buffet. Good for lunch. Prices are reasonable.
We absolutely love this Buffet. We are not locals although we know the city well. This place is cheap, it's good, and we come here every single time we visit, sometimes multiple times. I tell everyone I can about it. I even had my graduation lunch here that's how much I love it.
Food was real tasty.
Buffet is real affordable.
Great choices of both vegetables and meat. Salad bar was the bomb and fresh.
They have the best red beans and what they call a house gumbo. Come check it out. I feel you will enjoy and you will return.
If you are looking for something off the beaten path from the regular tourist suggestions, this is a great option for you. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the pho was amazing. After five days of po boys and fried seafood, we needed something a little different. Great spot, highly recommended!
It's a solid cheap meal. Some items are better than others like any cheap buffet. But for under ten dollars I got a drink and all you can eat. I would recommend bringing a solid appetite and leaving any high expectations.
I enjoy the atmosphere and friendly welcoming service of the owners and staff, they offer a good variety of food options on their buffet, I would just add a few more healthy options for diabetics like brown rice, baked fish.
this is a nice little hole in the wall cajun buffet. it's real cheap and the food is amazing the only thing I don't like is the selection is very small. but taste wise it's worth it
Good cheap food. Wished they didn't charge extra for water. So price is 7.99 not 6.99. But great Cajun soul food.
We ate right about closing and the food was pretty good. I am not in NOLA much but when I come back I'll go eat lunch there.
Clean bathroom! Which is a plus!
Food is always Good!
(Have had family member to stop going because of what she felt was the waitres's racist actions toward non-white customers.)
The food is pretty good here I enjoy my time money well spent
Small hometown buffet frequented by locals and tourists alike! Good food, consistent buffet menu, wish they were open Sundays!
It was real nice. But the drinks were warm and the lady didn't want to give me a cup for ice.
My favorite buffet. I recommend the gumbo, Salisbury steak, and sides. Does anyone think that the red beans taste familiar?
Food always good.Buffet neva change.ways on point Buffet with drink 9 eighty something...10 Dollars!...
