Excellent Japanese takeout services are offered here, and the wait time is always short after you place your order by phone or online.

So I know what you're thinking sushi from a gas station ??? šŸ¤¢šŸ¤¢šŸ¤¢ but in this case looks can be deceiving . After walking in & looking around I decided to order myself some sushi & I'm glad I did . So I ordered a shrimp & avocado roll / spicy salmon & a spicy tuna roll . I can't say it was all 10's all around, but it was definitely tasty and fresh. Add to that a friendly staff & you have a winner

The food at Kiku is absolutely great. Both the Chinese and Japanese menus are awesome. But the sushi is something special.

I will rate this little take out place 4 stars because their food is usually quite good and the lunch specials are so budget-friendly. The portions are just right and usually enough to have a small snack at another time. They are also allergy aware which always merits a star in my experience. My biggest complaint is that the staff is not so customer friendly plus they charge for each extra item - extra side of salad dressing or spicy mayo. I will go back but I have to remember to keep my positive attitude irregardless of the hosts energy.

For my local sushi spot, they have good sushi. Not always the most friendly but they do deliver fast and pricing is ok. I order frequently and they are accurate.

For a local spot I love the sushi šŸ£ tuna striped bass and salmon are the types of raw fish I prefer. I noticed people calling it salty and canā€™t help but wonder if maybe they put a gallon of soy sauce in it? Lol sushi and sashimi you only dip the end in soy sauce thatā€™s it! Also another one who said ā€œfish is sour must be oldā€ okay so #1 bad fish isnā€™t sour it is smelly stinky and wouldnā€™t be edible and #2 sushi rice has vinegar in it. Thatā€™s the sour taste itā€™s part of the experience šŸ™„ Kitchen items: the pineapple fried rice (with chicken or shrimp both are good) is to die from and itā€™s enough to be a meal on its own. Love the gyoza and the shrimp shumai dumplings (fried or steamed). Great wonton soup. Finally I highly recommend the ā€œspicy Szechuan wontons (ask for sauce on the side) theyā€™re so delicious! Iā€™ve been a loyal customer for years I know the staff they know me, they have high standards of cleanliness and PROMPT service is a priority so if youā€™re a slow customer, you are making them take longer to serve the rest of us who like this place so go back to Pelham with the ā€œworld revolves around me Iā€™m Karen from Pelhamā€ attitude !

Sushi was good, nice pieces of sashimi. They do not serve alcohol so there is no sake. Keep in mind this is mostly a take out place, there are tables but you will probably want to do take out.

Got some sushi which was good , not life changing but good. And got some general Tao's chicken, which was good . Definitely don't have to worry about getting sketchy meat , all white meat chicken was great.
