Such good Brazilian food and really good service. They food is made quick and tastes fresh. The food is rich with flavour but not heavy by any means. The caipirinha is well made, too. Would come back for sure.
Came here after seeing a show on Broadway. The food was pretty good. We had the sirloin steak sandwich, rice and black beans, mussels with rice and the coconut and cheese crepes.
The drinks were very good. My wife had the a passion fruit with Brazilian rum cocktail and I had the coconut and Brazilian rum cocktail. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean dining area and a clean bathroom.
For Manhattan, the prices were reasonable.
This restaurant is one of my new favorites in Midtown. Perfect for a meal before or after a Broadway show. The drinks are incredible too. Service is top notch. I cant remember our waitress's name but she and the manager checked in on us during our meal and were very attentive. I'll let my pictures do the rest of the talking.
Great food. Cash only.
You can get more traditional authentic Brazilian food and not just the "sword" type of Brazilian food. Staff is actually from Brazil and they keep original seasoning and flavors.
Plates are served with big portions, even appetizers.
They only take cash. Though there is ATM next door, it is pretty inconvenient.
The cheese balls are great! They are freshly made, not too cheesy and chewy in perfection!
The caipirinha are quite strong and full of ice. I agree with other reviewers that they are watered down.
The shrimps starter was delicious with a special sauce. Yummy!
The steak was delicious and tender.
The pork chops were a tiny but dry but compliment the delicious sauce so still yummy.
Came for lunch. A few complimentary cheese bread bites were a cute surprise. Got the beef, rice, and beans lunch special and the steak, fried egg, fried potato slices lunch special. Pretty good Brazilian.
Cocktails and service were decent. Pleasant experience overall.
Actually I really like this place. The service was excellent. The food was very good. It's warm inviting and has a lot of charm. I'd recommend checking this place out if you're in the area it's worth a visit.
This was my first time here and it went be the last. All the food from the appetizers to the dessert was absolutely fantastic. The drinks were very good too. I suggest that you try the authentic drinks they have on the guest page of the drink menu. My favorite was the stroganoff and you should absolutely do it on your first time visit. Also, you have to try the 🥑 creme brulee, I seriously didn't even know you could put avocado in it
Great place with good vibes! I went with a large group (8 of us) for Sunday brunch and they were easily able to seat us all. Lots of space!
There is also live music! A bit loud, but great for a good time! People would even get up to dance at times.
The food was very delicious and different than what you would get at a traditional brunch. $7 mimosas for brunch too! Although they could use a bit more champagne...
The main reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is that the service was a bit slow. We were really the only group in the restaurant and they took a long time to get our orders. The server was extremely nice, but just sluggish. If you like to take your time, this can also be a good thing!
We made reservations for 7:30 on a Wednesday night, and I'd highly recommend reserving a table here. The place was moderately busy and there were a few smaller tables that were open.
The place has a good ambiance, a full service bar and good lighting, with live music! Our server, Marcia (hope I got your name right) reminded me of a Bollywood actor, Anushka Sharma.. yeps, she was that cute!
We ordered 2 appetizers which included Camarão Grelhado ($14) - Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, which were absolutely delicious, and Frango à Passarinho ($10) which were absolutely terrible.
For mains, we ordered 3 dishes, which included Costeleta de Porco a Portuguesa ($23) - grilled Pork chops, Picanha na Chapa ($23) - grilled top sirloin, and Feijoada ($23) - Brazil's most amazing dish ever! The entrees were all good, and they came with rice and fried potatoes. The meat though, lacked serious flavor.. I wish they had some extra seasoning. Feijoada on the other hand though was the most delicious thing on our table.
Service was absolutely top notch and I couldn't stop complimenting Marcia of how she kept reminding me of Anushka! Overall, a very positive experience!
Medium sized place with decent space between tables. Went here on thanksgiving for dinner with a friend who doesn’t eat seafood. Sadly though their online menu showed lots of chicken options, the in restaurant menu had just one chicken entree.
The mixed croquettes were good, though the chicken one was a little underwhelming. Yucca fries was awesome and the aioli on the side was good. The star of the dinner was the amazing shrimp in coconut sauce with mashed potatoes that was served in a coconut. The flavor was mellow and soothing, and the consistency was that of a rich stew. Enough to share between two people. The chicken with fruits was too salty and sweet for our taste.
The chocolate balls in the dessert was too heavy and one dimensional in the chocolate taste but the passion fruit pannacotta was on point and hit the right tangy and subtly sweet notes to end dinner.
Casual brazilian food and no wait at all if you go early. We took the meet pie to start and the house specialties for the main dish. Nice place to eat, music not loud to you can talk and friendly staff.
Note: brazilian cheese breads available!
This place was a wonderful experience for my family and I.
This is my first time to try Brazilian food. So not sure if this is an authentic Brazilian or not.
However, All I know is whatever we have ordered it turned up to be great.
The food portion by the way is big for one person.
The server was super wonderful and nice.
The prices are reasonable
Great, I like the food, the environment, employees are very friendly and they know their products. When it come to drinks, a little bit more alcohol will be perfect but knowing that they are in Manhattan ... is normal to maximize the profit. Definitely a place to come back.
First, the foods were amazing ( Well seasoned, not too salty not too bland). The sauce of the steak was just amazing.
It was first time to experience with Brazilian food
Kind staff quickly introduced the menu and gave us recommendations !
Also, drink ( Sangria ) was amazing too :))
I would like to go there to eat other menus
Highly Recommend !!
This place is amazing! We stumbled upon Samba after deciding we didn't want to order in. The food was delicious, the wait staff really friendly, and the atmosphere was great. When we ordered, we asked to substitute the rice for yucca fries, which they said they couldn't do. I was a bit annoyed, but after getting the entrees, realized the rice was the perfect compliment to them. Both were seafood stew type dishes - one was actually served inside a coconut, which was really cool. We'll definitely be back!
