We came for a girls brunch and absolutely loved it. First of all, the waiters/waitress were very friendly and offered great service. The drinks and food were delicious. We all really enjoyed the mussels. My lobster Benedict was yummy. Definitely recommend!
Everything was amazing! Our waiter was Sasha and he was incredible! He was very patient with us and had no problem recommending entrees. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and charismatic. I had a wonderful pasta, the tiramisu, and the ricotta cheesecake. While the food was amazing, the service is what made this restaurant stand out and shine. It’s worth a visit if you’re in NYC.
Everything was a 5/5 even though we had a reservation for 8 pm and check in on time. The place was PACKED for a rainy night. We finally got our table at 8:45 pm. However, the manager Sidya gave us free drinks on the house for the wait.
Onto the food I was nervous we would wait long for our food due to how busy but our food was served fast and efficient. Our server was extremely attentive and the wow the food was absolutely delicious!! My friend got the butternut squash ravioli and wow amazing and just perfect for fall. We tried a little of everything and will definitely come back here. The prices are also reasonable.
Wow, the food is really good. Came here on Christmas Eve with my friend Richard. This place was such a pleasant surprise. They're known for fresh pasta so I definitely got some of that. The Warm Octopus salad is excellent. Get that . The mussels app is fine but be careful because the liquid is really hot, I left the toast from the mussels cool off for a minute after I dipped it in the sauce just because it's very hot. The Cavatelli Ricotta is a pesto pasta with shrimp and salmon. Absolutely delicious, get extra grated cheese on it . My friend had the branzino special which was nice too . They brought out extra focaccia with olive oil with tasty olives in it too. For drinks we had the Lamella cocktail which is perfect for the season with Jack Daniels and Apple. My friend liked it so much he got two . I had the gin and cherry Andrea cocktail and a white wine. Both good. Don't skip dessert ! We were going to but decided to get the Panna Cotta with cherry and it was so decadent and delicious, get that if you come here . Also, this place is crowded for a reason, it's excellent! So definitely make reservations. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere was very intimate and had a rustic feeling to it. The food was delicious, and the plating was nice as well. Loved the seasoning and the care that was put into the dishes, tasted like true homemade pasta. Price wise, it was average price and was great for the food quality. Service was good as well, the main dishes took a little bit long but it was definitely worth the wait. I went during an off hour between lunch and dinner so it wasn’t very crowded and was easy to walk in. All in all a very solid restaurant especially going out with friends.
It’s definitely a fun spot to visit if you’re looking for a good ambiance and great service in the area. We visited on a Saturday night and sit outside, so the service is a little slower than usual.
Food is on the average or a little above average compared to other Italian restaurants in the cities. You won’t be disappointed! I specifically like the beef shanks with tomato sauce risotto - a special menu of the day. Their carbonara is also pretty good!
I’d recommend to have a reservation if you’re planning to visit during the weekends.
Nothing but a 5/5.
Great atmosphere that creates a cozy and vibrant setting. Making it more about the people you’re dining with. Plus outside seating is just lovely.
The 32oz special ribeye was absolutely delicious, little fattier than would have wanted but more than enough steak for 4 people, it also comes with a side of mashed potatoes and greens. Added in a couple of pastas and the bread they give with the table. Was all more than enough for us. Will be back, perfect for a celebration or just date night.
This italian eatery is located in lower Manhattan. Serving up a small menu of appetizers, pasta dishes and main courses.
I highly recommend reservations as it can get a bit chaotic.
The food is delicious but the service is subpar and the server is inattentive and served a couple next to us prior to getting to us despite being seated before the couple next to us.
The drinks are decent put a bit pricey. The outdoor dining is preferred since the indoor option can get loud and densely packed.
Great for date nights, night with friends or family.
OMG! I really love this place. We're from Georgia, and we're having a anniversary trip in NYC. I feel so bad about I made an reservation on 10. 10(3rd anniversary) but I was sick : ( so we couldn't make it on time, had to cancel. But we're here again today! !!! All staffs are super friendly and thoughtful! Food was great! I just don't know how to tell you "how impress I'm! " Highly recommend! ❤
One of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had in the city. But the staff and servers were even more amazing. Some of the best service and hospitality I’ve ever experienced in NYC. Decor and atmosphere were so lovely, such a cute and cozy Italian spot with delicious food. Highly recommend the pappardelle and the crime brûlée. Will definitely return!
We were visiting from Boston during Christmas and were looking forward to a nice dinner and good food. We got the carbonara and pappardelle which were both delicious as was the complimentary focaccia and olive oil to start. The homemade pasta was fresh and memorable. We also ordered espresso martinis and loved them. Apart from the food, the service was excellent. Our waiter, Sasha, was so kind and welcoming. He contributed to the lovely neighborhood atmosphere. We ordered the crème brûlée for dessert just so we could prolong our dinner at Da Andrea, and it exceeded expectations.
This longtime hidden gem is known to locals for its cozy atmosphere, high quality Italian fare and friendly service. The fish soup is my go to. It’s packed with mussels, scallops, fish, shrimp and calamari. I really can’t recommend this place enough. I’m excited that they will be opening an 8th ave location in Chelsea very soon. It’s always a pleasure dining here
Da Andrea is such a lovely spot! I’ve been here many times with family, friends, and dates and it never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the dishes are absolutely delicious, and the service is outstanding. Thanks to Kadir and Wendel especially — you made my last visit here great!
the food was good but not as mind blowing as the reviews made it look. the atmosphere was cute both indoors and outdoors. food wise i recommend the mussel appetizer; the tomato soup in it is excellent. the special pasta - black ink squid ravioli was a bit too heavy (creamy and salty). the portion was interesting because the app was bigger than the main… maybe cause the shells of mussels.
might not come back again not because there are significant issues, but because there are just too many good restaurants in nyc to explore.
Wonderful atmosphere and service by Kadir. The food was very delicious and the desserts were served in a very special manner. Especially loved the live music part! My friend and I will definitely come back.
This has become one of our must-go places every time we are in New York. Make sure you do a reservation ahead of time. This place is pretty popular and is always busy.
The pasta was cooked perfectly, the drinks are very well crafted and balanced and the venue is quaint. We have sat inside but you might want to request a table outside.
Da Andrea is a testament to the art of Italian cuisine done right without overwhelming your palate. The staff eagerly introduced us to their house specials, helping us navigate their extensive menu, especially when it came to recommending delightful vegetarian options.
As we settled in, we were promptly served a delightful assortment of complimentary bread and olives.
When it came to beverages, their cocktails were refreshing and a perfect start to the meal.
We kicked off our culinary journey with the Margherita flatbread, and it was an instant hit. The flatbread was crisp, and the tomato sauce had that unmistakable taste of authenticity that transported us straight to Italy. The balance of flavors was impeccable.
Moving on to the Gnocchetti Di Patate, we were pleasantly surprised. The dish was divided into two plates, accommodating our party of two perfectly. The Gnochi itself was a revelation – light, creamy, and not overpoweringly cheesy. It was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, leaving us craving for more.
But the star of the show, without a doubt, was the Tiramisu. The presentation was as impressive as the taste. It was a sweet symphony of flavors with just the right amount of sweetness. It left us in awe and sealed the deal on an already fantastic meal. The strawberries with chocolate sauce provided a delightful contrast to the richness of the Tiramisu, creating a perfect ending.
While the flavors and dishes at Da Andrea are delightful, the dining space can feel a bit cramped. It gets too loud during peak hours. If you're willing to embrace the vibrant atmosphere, you're in for a memorable experience filled with authentic Italian delights. We left with our taste buds delighted and our hearts full.
This is the second time coming to Da Andrea. First time was so great I decided to choose this place as the spot to celebrate my anniversary! Our server Kadir was amazing. Made sure we knew what we were ordering and took care in explaining what we didn’t understand. Overall the food is always great but what keeps us coming back is the staff. Couldn’t recommend a better Italian spot. Special shoutout to Kadir and Wendel as they made this occasion that much more special to me.
