Hungarian Pastry Shop - New York City - Photo album

Stopped by here on a Thursday morning to grab a snack during our walk and this was literally the best croissant and cheese danish I have ever had. It was soft and buttery and I am waiting to come back and have it again. I know the lines here are long on the weekends but at this time, there was just
A really fun and iconic shop near Columbia serving lots of traditional and delicious pastries! The inside is usually always busy but I’ve always been able to grab a seat despite the business. Don’t be turned off if there’s a long line, it always moves pretty fast
Amazing pastries! Usually, it's a long line but worth waiting and they attend super fast. Place is quite small and you can see a lot of students and people staying for long time. Taste the coffee too.
Yum! I was fortunate to have an appointment nearby yesterday, I missed the work crowd and line. It ALWAYS has a long line on weekends. Alas, no wait and no rush, just lucky. I wanted everything but settled on an eclair, flourless raspberry and the best tiramisu I have ever had! Just having come back
Great energy and comfy environment. Cheesecake and almond croissant was great. Tho, the cheese puff wasn’t as fluffy puff as it looked; it had more of a biscuit texture than a puffy fluffy goodness. To each their own. I’ll be back to taste their other baked goods. Overall; GREAT. 😊
This place is so good there was quite a line before we could order. I have to recommend you try any of their chocolate cakes, especially the one shown in the picture.
No-frills bakery perfect for a sweet snack. Came here to get some work done. The seating space is quite large but crowded. A lot of people come to catch up with friends, read, or work. There were a lot of dessert and pastry options. Service was prompt and friendly.
When we walked past this pastry shop, we couldn’t believe how many people were lined up outside. We decided to give it a try, although we generally don’t have a sweet tooth. They offer a wide range of pastries, which makes it harder to decide what to eat. The staff is super nice and patient, and the
Nice little bakery close to the University. Fair few students there that work on their laptops despite the long line of people waiting outside. It’s very popular. I had the cherry strudel, I thought it was great. Neither too sweet nor too tart. Just right. The carrot cake was good too. The space its
Such a cute, cozy spot! Definitely historic and meaningful for the Morningside community. Staff was really nice!
The by the pound cookies are what I recommend, grab to go and bring to the park! I think it's not worth a wait if the line is out the door, but when I'm there and the line is contained inside I always grab to go
This is the only Hungarian place I know in the city and I love it. I lived in Hungary for 2 years and I came here to reminisce the goodies of Hungarian pastries. There are a couple of Hungarian dishes that I recognized and I was happy of its authenticity of it. I had asked what they recommend which
As always, the atmosphere is perfect for writing and chatting — taking it all in. The baristas are attentive and help recommend pastries. I tried the black poppyseed strudel and the apple turnover. The strudel tasted way too sweet, though I loved the nuttiness of the poppyseeds, and the phyllo was a
my favorite tiramisu in the world but i'm not sure it's actually good. mostly it tastes hilariously like rum. it tastes more like rum than rum. the 1st time i tried it i laughed
The service is incredibly nice! Such a friendly and helpful staff! The baklava is very unique. Different than I am used to but different like in a good way. The napoleon cake and the coffee is quite delicious too! There will definitely be a next time and then I will try out their croissants!
