Comfort food like no place else. The blueberry pancakes are a must, in fact the entire menu is a must! The food is definitely made with love be and butter! Sooo good!
Hands down the best blueberry pancakes on the planet. Best chicken sandwich, best everything. I had to roll out of there I was so full. Great wait staff fun atmosphere
Food is great, would eat here every day if I could. Pancakes are huge, chicken and waffles are to die for.
Note - it is cash only so be prepared, but there is an ATM across the street.
Pancakes are the best! We had the pancakes with banana and walnuts and also the ones with blueberries. Perfectly delicious! Service is great - very friendly staff. On the weekends you have to expect some waiting time but we also went there during the week and after 15 minutes we got a table. And it's always worth the wait!
An excellent brunch fare with anything from vegan to carnivore with the finest of food! Lovely service and great food! A distant Salsa atmosphere which I loved as a boricua! Looking forward to eating there again!

The food was amazing I had the eggs Benedict with spinach not a fan of ham but you can substitute with smoked salmon or spinach, my fiancé had an egg sandwich on a biscuit and blue berry pancakes everything was delicious. The wait is the worst part of it all went, but we went on a Saturday.
Five stars just isn’t enough. Truly heaven, especially for breakfast lovers.
Delicious biscuit sandwich. Go straight for a fork though, don't bother trying with your hands. Good coffee too.
How often do you go to a place and love the atmosphere and order two entrees and a dessert and everything tastes perfect.
This place is amazing and I’m definitely going back
Great pancakes - creative and tasty plus the normal breakfast notesbles.
Expanded space since our last visit.
This restaurant deserves its rank for having the best pancakes in New York. They are absolutely delicious! I’ve tried the blueberry and chocolate chip so far but I have no doubt that the banana walnut is delicious too. Everyone must try the grits. OMG they are so good! I like the restaurant so much that last year I celebrated my birthday over there with all my closest friends. Everyone said very nice things about the food. Two of my friends had the fried chicken and waffles. They liked it very much. My other friends had rave reviews for the shrimp and grits. Everyone must also try the biscuits and raspberry jam. They are very good! We all ate them up. This is truly a great restaurant. I highly recommend everyone to try the pancakes.
Everything here was phenomenal, except the waiting time. There’s always a line, so making reservations is highly recommended. The food was worth the wait, though.
The chicken & waffles w maple butter were amazing! We also had the breakfast sandwich and it didn’t disappoint — their biscuits are perfection! The service was quick and friendly. Definitely coming back here.
We went to Clinton St for brunch on a recommendation! On a weekday also they are busy so make your way down there a bit handy to avoid the peak brunch hour ! Luckily we only had to wait 10 - 15 min to be seated!
We ordered the fried chicken waffle, green salad and sausages !
The flavour in the waffle was really good , would have liked some crunch on the fried chicken , overall the dish worked with the warm maple butter served on the side!
The green salad added a good freshness!
The flavour and texture of the sausages was hugely disappointing!
We tried their pancakes at a different location - time out market (Dumbo, Brooklyn) and hands down these were the best blueberry pancakes we’ve ever had! They are popular for their pancakes and they live up to that expectation! So fresh, soft melt in the mouth , perfect with the blueberry sauce and warm maple butter !! Every bite sings in your mouth ! Definitely recommend!
Overall a good place for brunch with an American diner vibe !
Cute brunch spot! I had the farmer’s breakfast and it was a perfect portion, tomatoes and sausages were very tasty 😊 blueberry pancakes are fluffy and come with a really nice maple syrup sauce. Tried the hot buttered rum and Mexican coffee - the buttered rum is no joke on its buttery notes! Our server Matthew was also delightful, thank you for treating us so well. It’s a busy place and definitely recommend making a reservation but I’ve heard walk-ins are possible. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
Clinton Street Baking Company is one of those places where there is nothing left to be said. Which is why I never felt the need to pen a review. With over 5,000 favorable remarks that span a decade plus, they are a NYC staple.
So what more can be said, nothing really except for give them a try if you haven't already. As many may know their popularity requires you to pack your patience because you may definitely experience a wait. However, you won't be disappointed. The cozy atmosphere, wonderful service and great food will make up for the time spent waiting for a table.
On my last visit Matthew was simply a pleasure and provided my bestie with a birthday pancake serenade and we loved it.
Just A Note:
The Blueberry Pancakes are a must try!
absolutely loved my visit here. food was delicious, literally no complaints. service was great and our food came fast. their signature maple syrup was so unique and the chicken was crispy. the watermelon lemonade was sweet and so was the blueberry hard lemonade. the sandwich was actually phenomenal, the combination of flavors was so good. will definitely be returning!!!
Very nice place and atmosphere. The food was amazing. I was there with a group of friends to have lunch. The place was full, we had to wait for around 40 minutes to get a table, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommended. If you are splitting the check the only take to credit cards per table so just be aware.
This place has great tasting food and very neat atmosphere. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever tried. I also tried their pancakes and they were also phenomenal. Will be back next time I am in town.
There was about a 45 minute wait on a weekday for brunch. Put your name down and they will text you when your table is ready. This place is not too big, but the hostesses and servers seem to keep it moving efficiently. Food took another 45-60 minutes to come out. Everything was delicious and presented well. $12 Mimosas were tasty. Prices per plate are between $18-$25.
For a small cafe, they have a wonderful system. Food was coming out good and quickly with no issues. As far as wait time like any Sunday breakfast or brunch spot you want to get there early. I was bery please and the wait was worth it. Bartender Jessica was amazing, she handled making drinks for the cafe as well as maintaining great customer service at bar. It's hard to find that now a days. I had the strawberry shortcake waffles. It was good with the sugar bacon too.
Food was awesome great atmosphere and customer service. Only wish is it was bigger and if you don’t want to Wait to long although it’s worth the wait, I would say get there for opening or try and make a reservation. Overall excellent place with good food. Can’t wait to go back.
They say they have the best pancakes in NYC, and it might be true. We placed a reservation but you could probably just walk in on a weekday for lunch. Lovely vibe and beautiful space with lots of light.
I’ve been a here a few times and it’s a classic.
The service is great and the food is delicious. However the wait time for this place is very long.
Banana and walnut pancakes with maple butter: 9/10 super fluffy and flavorful!
Chicken and waffles: 7/10 thin crispy pieces of chicken. Flavor is very good; just wish there was more.
I would come back for the pancakes. This place sent into my food coma cause it was so buttery and good.
Pancakes were pretty good!
Came on a Saturday straight from my flight ~11am. Unfortunately it was full, there was a ~30m wait for me. Service was great, enjoyed the mom & pop atmosphere (minus the natural noise)
(Pancake score: 7/10)
This place was for long on my want to go list. Couple of times when we came there was a wait more than 1 hour but this morning we had a luck. Pancakes were amazing, syrup is so tasty. There are no just blueberries on top but inside the pancakes as well. Shake was good as well. Spanish scramble was ok, nothing special.
I am not sure waiting more than one hour for table is worth but but if you are in the neighborhood you can try your luck.
Despite being full you don't wait for your food too long, that is great plus. I think we got our food 5-10minutes after ordering it.
The blueberry pancakes and egg sandwich were AWESOME. Do a reservation or order pickup at the window on the side. The staff moves incredibly fast. We didn't feel rushed but we got our table, had breakfast, and were out the door in 45 minutes. The flavor in the biscuits is a MUST TRY so at least order one on the side. The pancakes were light and ingredients tasted fresh. Oh, and unlike most of NYC, my bill was around 50 for 2 people (because I added a few items) and it was worth it any more!
Had the best scone here! Be sure to try to goat cheese scone if you love savory or the chocolate scone if you like sweet.
The country breakfast was very filling!
Also the grits are the best I have tried.
The atmosphere is lively and service is pretty quick.
One of the best pancakes you will try. fluffy ,delicious with blue berry’s on top with a side of butter scotch. the egg sandwich with the cheese and a side of hash browns are delicious aswell. overall worth a try😋
The Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter and the Fried Chicken & Waffles tasted great! The Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich was decent. The ambience was good as well.
