An Aussie in New York here. Great service from the receptionist with a menu/place mat in case you need to order more - not the case! The dishes are reasonably priced for the portion size!
The Ed's Caeser appetizer is unique for it's fish flavored croutons and a light sprinkle of anchovies was memorable.
The mains we are were Fish & Chips, you felt as a sea food based restaurant they hit the mark with the fish because you can taste the love by giving customers real fish and the chips slightly brown and crunchy (no, not over-charged!) went well with ketchup.
The other dish was Lobster Poutine, a fancy word for French Fries covered in Gravy with sprinkles of Lobster inside. That gravy should come as a dipping sauce on its own. We loved it!
Thank you!
Such an incredible fresh fun place. Felt so at home and the lobster roll was even one of the best I ever had. I have had many in Maine. Well worth the stop!!
I love Ed's lobster bar, I drive from long island just to eat a lobster burger and lobster ravioli. Highly recommended 😋
Had lunch here with a friend who is a return customer.. we both had the lobster roll ... it was delicious.. the roll was toasted perfectly with just enough butter.. the lobster was amazing.. very clean lemony flavor.. didn't even notice any mayonnaise... small noisy venue but very comfortable..great staff.. really enjoyed it...
The BEST lobster roll I've had in NYC! So glad I found this place. Well worth the price. They pack the roll with lobster, the chucks of meat is flavorful and they use a brioche bread. 👌🏾
Outstanding food and service. The house special lobster roll is exceptional. Would highly recommend
My favorite place to get lobster rolls in New York! All the food is consistent and the service is wonderful! I haven't been to Ed's in about three years, and we got lunch there today. The entire meal was exactly how I remembered it to be, delicious. Everything is always cooked to perfection and you couldn't ask for better service there honestly. Very friendly and attentive! Thanks for another great experience!

We've been to all the rest and only love the best, we love their lobster rolls. Very satisfying and they don't skimp on the lobster. We recommend anyone to try it you won't be disappointed,
I am a New England born girl and it is hard to find authentic lobsta rolls anywhere but there. Your rolls were amazing. We also had the lobster mac and cheese and lobster BLT which were delicious. We will be returning.
Incredible food. Finally got the opportunity to meet Chef Ed McFarland as well. Great service, great place, amazing food.
The food was amazing, the staff was pleasant and the food was out of this world

Amazing corn and lobster chowder and lobster roll special! Can’t wait to return!
This place was recommended by a New Yorker who moved away years ago. He said it was an amazing seafood spot for dinner. We went for lunch and it was pretty good. My fiancé got a lobster roll and I got 4 oysters. Both were pretty good. The oysters came with horseradish, cocktail, and mignonette. They were on point! Very clean and loose. My fiancé is from Maine so is picky with his lobster. Still not a bad roll. The service was quick, although I hear you could wait close to an hour in the evenings. Glad we tried it!
The servers where excellent, my kids and I liked fish and chips, shrimp 🦐 pop corn. Octopus 🦑 was to little even for opening cours needed one more tentacles but was great, escargots to oily, mussels not cooked in sauce ,lobster 🦞 soup need more seasoning. Nice place to go eat.
No pretention. Just great food. The oysters tasted from the sea. Lobster ravioli was packed with lobster. The steamed lobster was already cracked but served in shell. The would have to adopt me to have better service. Pedro is the best.
It is as if they dug up a shack off the Cape and planted it on the corner.
Ed's Lobster Bar was one of our favorite stops in the city! This cozy little spot on the corner has the friendliest staff, and, of course, the most delicious lobster!😍 The tuna tartare served with warm zucchini chips was the perfect appetizer on a cool, rainy day. The lobster roll was overflowing with meat and the lobster Mac and cheese was a lighter cheese sauce that complimented how rich the lobster was.
Our waiter also shared local recommendations that helped make our long weekend even better! We'll definitely be back next time we visit NYC!🤗🦞
Absolutely the best lobster roll in Manhattan! And plenty of other raw bar options !
Fantastic food and service! Recommended: lobster roll, oysters, shrimp popcorns, jalapeño Margarita.
my longstanding favorite place for lobster rolls in the city. short version of a long story: i spent a few years systematically hunting for nyc's best lobster roll. confident this is the one.
the tuna tartare, and homemade desserts, are also a must!
Good lobster roll by all standards. But, priced about $8 higher than average. Service was attentive, sincere and just great! The outstanding dish is the lobster ramen! Go for it. I almost forgot, the mojitos are made very well.
Absolutely favorite place to eat whenever we're in New York city. The food is great, service is always on point. 👌 must visit
First time here and I like the service provided tonight. Handsome waiter took care of us. We ordered a bunch of apps with the unlimited mussels monday deal. While we ordered the mini lobster rolls, garlic Parmesan wings, fried calamari and French fries…the wings were sadly over powered by the garlic and Parmesan. But the calamari, rolls and mussels were great. But be warned, if you sit at the back of the restaurant, you may not get cell signal lol.
Exactly what you want when you are wandering around and craving Rt 1 Maine type of seafood, but in a quiet part of the city.
Little necks, fresh and tasty; chowdah, creamy; lobstah grilled cheese, loved that sh*t; lobstah roll, just like Maine.
Good stuff. Ask for a lager, even though it’s not on the menu
We only stopped in here one night with the kids as it was close to our hotel. But the food was great and the service is very friendly and attentive. Even the kids were happy to stick around which is rare.
So of course we came back a couple more times. Thanks guys.
I couldn't have been happier with my experience! The food was great and Patricia was great! Attentive but not pushy. I wanted seafood for my birthday and the happy hour menu was a perfect way to start our meal. I also had their blueberry margarita. I highly recommend a trip there 😋
Me and 2ic(the wife) were on a hop off hop on bus tour. And we ended up near little italy and China town. We saw some reviews on this restaurant and decided to give it a try. This was my wife first time eating g lobster. But I must say it was pretty good. A small shop with out door seating as well as indoor. Friendly service with some decent food. Tried the grilled cheese lobster BLT. And mac and cheese lobster. And my wife had a salad with lobster and fish and chips.. so if you are in the neighborhood and want some lobster I would recommend. The average cost per dish is about 20 to 25 dollars.
