This was one of the best restaurants we ate at in NYC. The restaurant has a great vibe. The staff were wonderful. The food was AMAZING. we spent about $100 per person (in total, after tax and tip). Considering the very generous portions and phenomenal quality of the food, the price is well worth it and cheaper (for what you get) than other places. I had the fillet and not only was it large. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It melted in my mouth. The only small note I will make, just for others to be aware if they’ve never been, the restaurant is quite small and the tables are packed in quite close, so it may not be the most accessible friendly for people who have mobility devices. FYI

We had last gone there a decade, perhaps 15 years ago! We kind of forgot about it. But we made up for lost time by going twice in the space of a couple of months. Scores well in every category that a restaurant should perform - food, service, atmosphere and value. I expect we'll be more regular customers over the next 10 years.

This place rocks!! Perfect ambiance for a perfect brunch. High ceilings and lots of space to socialize. Could stay here for hours and be comfortable. Food quality was on point and great menu variety. Service is friendly and attenttive. This is a go-to brunch spot to bring large groups of friends. A nice bonus: the free corn bread they provide is so damn good.

Food was excellent. Everything on the menu looked excellent. We had the crab appetizer, Tilapia, Pan Roasted sole and Gelato plate to top it off. The tables are fairly tight but you won't be disappointed with the food.

Food and service are amazing. The bathroom is the prettiest. We sat outside and it was really lovely. The drinks were great and the menu had lots of options! Food was fresh and delicious :)

44 & X is my go to spot in HK especially when I have friends and family visiting from out of town. The ambiance, drinks, and food are outstanding. It’s also in close proximity to Broadway so if you’re looking for a place to hit before your show, look no further.

This restaurant was excellent, the atmosphere and dishes! I ordered two plates, one is goat cheese and pistachio soufflé with Asian pears and pomegranate jus and the other one is crispy sea bass with saffron mussels broth and mushrooms and artichoke. Goat cheese and pistachio soufflé: It was like warm yogurt cake. This is my first time to eat this style. But you can feel the flavor of goat cheese itself. Moreover pomegranate jus was pretty good ascent, a little bit sour. It was good fusion. Let’s try! Crispy sea bass: Sea bass itself was nice of course, but saffron mussels broth brought much better taste. Then artichoke was a bit mysterious flavor, it doesn’t mean “bad”. I have wanted to come here for a while, but it was good opportunity. I’ll come back.

When Nathan Lane and Rosie O’Donnell tell you this is one of the best place to come before a show - u come and surely this place does not disappoint. Rested in the theater broadway district, the service and the food was impeccable. Though relatively packed in this small dining space, the food quality, flavors and choices were ample and in New York, the prices were quite reasonable considering all. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner Scott introduced himself to a lot of of the tables and made sure all is well. 5 stars definitely

Very cute brunch spot. Friendly service and good food. The muffins for the table are really good too. Pictured: french toast and salmon royale.

A gorgeous little spot for brunch. The French toast and Irish bacon was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. The spinach mushroom and goat cheese omelette was also a big hit. Drink list was full of fun options. Definitely a must try.

What a gem! Had been there for brunch many times, as we live in the neighborhood, so figured we’d give it a try for dinner and needles to say, didn’t disappoint at all. From atmosphere, to service, to every single dish out of the 5 we ordered, 10/10. Thank you to the staff and management for taking such good care of the restaurant, staff, and most importantly, guests and food.

Surprisingly delicious food all the way around. We shared all the dishes, and not one person was disappointed in any one of the dishes. The owner greeted us warmly at the door and switched our seating arrangement at the last minute to accommodate a table of eight people. How wonderful!

Such a great find in Hells Kitchen. Food was superb, had a filet mignon cooked to perfection. Didn't have any room for dessert after, which was a real shame as it looked incredible. Server was fantastic and the food was delivered quickly. I don't think my water cup reached half empty the entire meal.

This was probably one of the best meals I’ve had. The braised short rib dish is beyond delicious and melted in your mouth. I would give this place 6 starts if I could, everything in the menu looked phenomenal. Great drink and desert menu as well.

I’m writing this in the middle of my meal because it’s so good. (And also Im killing time before a show). This place was recommended to me in a travel group for a spot out of the craziness of Times Square yet close enough to grab dinner beforehand. I will honestly say just looking at the menu I was not crazy about anything in particular but the selections were quite varied (protein wise… chef sure likes asparagus 😳). I was intrigued by the sole but didn’t like the accompaniments, steak frites sounded good but boring. I never order filet because it tends to be a tiny 3oz portion lacking flavor and never cooked right but the scalloped potatoes were calling my name. So I decided to get it but ordered the goat cheese and pistachio soufflé to start because you know tiny steaks. The soufflé was divine. That’s all I have to say about that. Right about now the gorgeous Ginberly Akimbo cocktail is kicking in. So I should mention the generous strong drinks. Delicious. My steak has arrived and is surprisingly large. Cooked perfectly and the tomato jam on top with the nice salty crust makes it the most flavorful and a little spicy filet Ive ever had. But the potatoes. Bless your heart if you’ve read this far. I could write an epic love poem to the potatoes. Like millefeuille it had layers upon layers of thin sliced potato and cream. Just divine. The prices are high, but on par for NYC, it’s not a budget place. Normally when solo-traveling I favor sitting at the bar. Id recommend trying to get a table though. They still have waitstaff for the bar seats which is slightly awkward and less social. My waiter was lovely but it’s just odd. I don’t love ordering over my shoulder. All in all I was well impressed and can recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the cacophony of Times Sqr for a really nice meal.
