This place has been on my wish list to visit since I heard about their opening. DELICIOUS and wish I could have brought more items home. They had a great range of laminated and enriched dough goodies, the cramiques being my favorite (similar to a brioche, perfect for breakfast or with coffee), but t
Cute little bake shop that features meringues, French pastries as well as espresso based drinks. Must try the meringues, as they are light like clouds and heavenly. Pan au chocolat was also delicious. We had a good time enjoying the treats sitting on the bench outside, people watching.
Pretty great meringue desserts! They have many different types of flavors and toppings and they come in a small or larger size. They have really good croissants as well. No inside seating but during warmer months they have two small benches that you can sit on while you eat.
So glad they finally opened their stores in NYC. Absolutely love the mini merveilleux. If you like meringue desserts, you definitely should try this place. Also their filled Flemish waffles are really good!
I don't know how to even describe the beautiful treats that come from this place. It's an absolute masterpiece. From first glance you would think that these desserts would be super heavy but they are extremely light. But while they are also light they are so rich and delectable in flavor. If you wan
Learned a new word and a new dessert here - Merveilleux. In English, it’s a combination of meringue and cream, but of course, more complex. We tried the big chocolate one and their coffee. Price was not horrible, with tax, 2 coffee and a big dessert for $17, same level as a typical New York bakery.
Fine croissant, good chocolate. Even purchased at 8:30 it wasn't warm. Tasted more like a bun.
12/10/2022, Sat: Very high quality french pastries at this Aux Merveilleux de Fred in the west Village on 8th ave just north of Jane St. Croissants, Brioche with raisins or chocolate chips or a chocolate ganache, and recently I went back and tried their famous Merveilleux pastries in the small siz
The brioche is absolutely perfect - delicate and sweet. I haven’t had a pastry this good since I was last in Paris. It was so delicious that we had to come back ten minutes later to try another. Coffee was great, and the customer service is welcoming and friendly.
Recommended by my son and well I had to try them out. So croissants on a Sunny Sunday morning. Chocolate was the first to be tried. Wonderful taste. Cooked to perfection. Then a single espresso. The plain one had to be eaten too. Freshly hot (had to wait 5’) but worth the wait because it has a very
2nd visit today and confirmed the most amazing croissant I have in NYC. Light and crusty surface. Smooth and rich buttery layers inside. Chocolate croissant and brioche are outstanding too. Semisweet chocolate with hint of acid.
Tasty baked stuff freshly made, cute store and not too crazy line.
Awesome customer service (detailed explanation of every items)
I got the raisin brioche , cherry merveilleux and the chocolate croissant. Croissant is super buttery. Merveilleux is very very light and tasty. Brioche was consumed
I bought plain brioche, pain au chocolat and two meringue pastries. All pastries are good taste that they are not too much sugar.
There are no seating inside and outdoor, we can only take it out.
☆I visited this bakery in March 2022.
When we first ordered the little merveilleux cakes they have we only got 2: one chocolate and one white chocolate. But after tasting them we had to go back and get 6 more the same day! (This time we also tried the caramel and coffee flavors which were both very good)
Naturally, we also ordered a la
It's one of the few places I accidently found when I just arrived to this city about 3 years ago. Back then, being a student, I ordered two pastries to go and tried them on the street. It was absolutely delicious. For the last three years of time in the same city, I haven't found any dessert place t
Wow great bakery specialising in Marveilleux. They are soft, sweet and delicious! Would recommend getting a box of six so that you can try the different flavours - they are all really good. Only 2 customers were allowed in at a time but we had a look through the window while waiting!
Cute little shop with the wafting smell of butter and baked goods that you can get from a few steps out of the door. The chocolate croissant hits the spot and the merveilleux minis were a good size for a treat.
Other than that though, there’s not a whole lot of diversity in what they offer. Your be
to-die-for croissants. seriously the best i’ve had in the city. also you must get the meringues, they arent too sweet and the texture with the whipped cream is an absolute dream. i couldn’t stop saying “wow” as i ate it.
