Attempting to get a reservation at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is like trying to acquire a decent present the day before Christmas, basically impossible. But, if you happen to be one of the lucky individuals to secure a spot, don’t squander it. A step into this restaurant instantly hits you with an enticing smell of fresh meats and seafood, a welcoming host, and stunning interior. Burgundy velvet seating arrangements meet the eye along with simple, dimly lit chandeliers lining the ceiling and an impressive bar in the middle. Located in Roseville, the most common customers are families and older couples but anyone with a large appetite is welcome to dine at this tempting eatery.
A classic at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, the “Sizzling Steak” sends off a mouthwatering aroma as your 16 ounce Ribeye drizzled with melted butter is served to you on a 500 degree plate. The first bite is as every bit as good as the last, each mouthful delivering a flavorful mix of sweet and savory. They added a various amount of piquant spices that don’t overpower the dish but instead compliment the brown sugar sprinkled on top as it dissolves in your mouth. This toothsome food is a must-have, and the only right way to order this delicacy is medium-rare, for the plate slightly cooks the steak throughout your meal so requesting this meat ‘well-done’ may cause it to become an overcooked mess after a few minutes.
An array of side orders are offered at Ruth’s Chris, but the one that stands out the most is, surprisingly, the asparagus. Although it’s not an especially favored food, Ruth’s take on asparagus will have you begging for more. This simple plate of vegetables is only seasoned with salt, pepper, and butter so you may be thinking, “How is this any good?”. Well, to answer your question, this grilled to perfection, crunchy and succulent specialty comes with a toothsome, creamy hollandaise sauce making it the perfect side dish for any main course.
Extremely sought-after, the “Chocolate Duo” is a dessert that definitely needs to be on your bucket list. This sweet treat is a combo of cacao cake and mousse topped with luscious berries and whipped cream. The rich, velvety cake is infused with a heavy dark chocolate filling then garnished with fresh fruits, while the light and fluffy mousse brings together the whole confection, a scrumptious delight all together. A food of the Gods, this inviting snack wraps up the course, leaving you stuffed for days.
Heading out of Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse has your belly full and your tastebuds satisfied, but you’ll be sad knowing you probably won’t be back there for a while, so book a spot for you and your family (or maybe just you!) the next day. Also be sure to acknowledge your host and express your gratitude (they’ll bump you up on the reservation list). Who knows? Maybe a spot will be open sometime in the next year?
Ruths Chris. Graet meal and decor
Great steaks. Everything here was spectacular right down to the Californian red recommended by our waiter. A must do that is comparable to the other top restaurant - Keens Steakhouse - in all aspects.
Great $28 lunch. Best bargin in NYC. FOOD, service and ambiance was great.
Exceeding my expectations!. Table reservations were easily booked online for a Friday evening in September. When arriving at the restaurant there were no delays to being seated. Our server, Kevin, offered top notch service!! Although we didn't order steak, in favor of the stuffed chicken breast and lamb chops, the meal fully exceeded my expectations!! I would go as far as saying one of the best meals I have enjoyed dining out this year. I would certainly recommend this Ruth Chris location. Kudos on your excellent service and delicious food!
I know its a steakhouse chain with locations all over the country, but my experience felt personal. First off, we were lucky to have Mark as our waiter, very professional, nice and honest about the selections on the menu. Told us we didn't need to get certain items, what we ordered was perfect and not to over do it. The steak was cooked perfect, the sides we ordered we delicious. We extremely satisfied and glad we stopped in. When your in NY you try to go to one of the original steakhouses for the experience, but this place felt the same way!
Just like MacDonald's it's pretty much the same wherever you go. Which is a good thing when you are from out if town and don't want any surprises.
Wonderful steaks that are perfectly prepared. Once again Ruth's Chris Steak House delivers the goods. I just love the fillet mignon here all served on a 500 degree plate. I think it is the best around. They have recently added a french onion soup which is just delicious. They make the best creamed spinach around! All delivered with very attentive wait staff.
Excellent. Every time I visit, I'm never disappointed..... You can't go wrong here.
Fantastic Dining Experience. I ate here a few weeks ago with several of my family members in for a long Thanksgiving weekend. When we arrived the restaurant was obviously busy but we were greeted right away by a very friendly hostess and after hanging our coats in the coat room were were promptly seated at our table. We had a lovely table right up front- we felt like a part of the action but seculded enough to enjoy the company of our family. Our server was wodnerful. He was able to accomodate even the pickiest eaters among us and make great suggestions for steaks, sides and wine pairings. Our dessert was also fantastic and we all left full and happy and prepared to return in the future!
Not the best Steak in town but... Near the Theatre district. Food is consistent and not too crowded considering its proximity.
Elegant yet traditional setting. Service was professional and attentive. Reservations are suggested. Food was excellent and pricey but well worth it. One of the best steak houses around.
My girlfriends and I had a fantastic time at Ruth Chris steak house. While my friends enjoyed the steak and raved about how delicious it was, I opted for the salmon and it did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The appetizers and cocktails were also spot on, and added to the overall enjoyable experience.
The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We appreciated the attention to detail and the care taken in making sure our meal was enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Ruth Chris steak house to anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience with excellent service. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!
We had been delaying our V-Day dinner due to a stomach bug my partner had been recovering from. We finally reached the day where we could go out to dine after over a month and a half. I had heard the midtown west location of Ruth Chris was closing sometime in April of this year. So I had to try it!!! You’d think after 13 years living in Hell’s Kitchen I’d already been but oh no!
Let tell you… it was worth the wait!!
When we entered the restaurant a very nice host, Kayla, welcomed us, took our coats and seated us. Let me tell you that we had the absolute BEST TABLE IN THE HOUSE! (Thanks Kayla!) It meant so much to me and my partner after the very trying month of February!
We shared the Cesar salad starter and it was so good! Then the drinks came… my first choice was beyond perfect, the Raspberry Cosmo! Great balance of flavor, sweetness and alcohol!!!! Second drink was the blueberry mojito, as good as it was, the former drink choice was just far more superior.
The entrees were a pair of filets… one was 8oz and mine was 11oz. Both well done but juicy AF!! When I tell you this was the best steak I’ve ever had, it’s not hyperbole! JUST FACTS! I’ll be dreaming of this steak for years to come!!
Our sides were the loaded bake potato and the au gratin… PHEW!! That gratin was to die for!!!
Must get…
-Cesar salad
-Raspberry Cosmo
-Au Gratin
-Filet
-Cheesecake
Each of what we consumed was worth every penny and then some!!
This entire amazing experience would not have been possible without our irreplaceable Carlos! He was so kind and attentive without being overbearing. That’s rare to have so we were pleased and honored to have had him as our server for our special evening!!! THANK YOU, CARLOS! He is a must-request when you visit Ruth Chris!!!
Lastly, just a wholeheartedly THANKS to all who made our evening at Ruth Chris a memorable one!!
We will follow you wherever you go!
Great atmosphere with great service with great cowboy ribeye! They cooked it just as ordered…rare….a lot of places ignore the rare request and still do it medium…not here…they don’t judge :-)
A good place to have a business dinner or a dinner with friends to watch some games.
The decor is beautiful. I felt sexy, special and like royalty being here. It has a private invite only type of vibe.
The service from the waiters was exquisite. They catered to my every need, they made sure I lacked nothing and were kind.
The food was so delicious, I mean “drool-worthy” ok. Went the food arrives they tell you not to touch the places for 3 minutes since it’s so hot. The food comes out sizzling hot. Just smelling this hot meal had me anxious. Plus they use high quality everything in food and it’s seasoned perfectly in deserving portions. I will be returning shortly.
I went for Valentine’s Day 2021. This place is the ultimate haven to celebrate Romance!
Top notch service with a deliciously prepared steaks. Will definitely come back again money well spent.
We had the steaks and spicy shrimp appetizer.
The manager gave us amazing recommendations for the food and for afterwards in the city she was a true angel.
Their food is very delicious.... We ordered porterhouse for two, Mac n cheese with lobster, lobster bisque soup, mushroom stuffed with crab meat.... The steak was so saft and juicy.... I felt like It was melting in my mouth.... Other food was so good too. The environment was very good and friendly... They wished for our anniversary so many times. And continuously checking on us, if we need anything or not....
We love Ruth Chris & what a wonderful surprise that my boyfriend choose this location to propose to me... Carl was an amazing waiter, management helped with the surprise. Food was amazing, ambiance & service..
Beautifully done. Happy hour is from 3pm to 6pm which is the smaller menu. AHI tuna and lamb was cooked perfectly .
It was a great time. Food was great n my waitress I forgot her name but she is from bk n she was great fast and polite. It was a little pricey but worth every dime. We will be back.
Fantastic food and service in a quiet, fine dining environment. The stuffed chicken is to die for and there is no better steak anywhere. We also enjoyed the crab cakes, chopped salad, and creamed spinach Also, the flourless chocolate cake melts in your mouth.
Love this restaurant. The food and service are consistently top notch. We sat at the bar and split the chopped salad, ribeye and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was scrumptious and the definition of indulgence, which is perfect for the holidays.
The steaks were obviously phenomenal! What is more spectacular is the experience. I took my meat loving, 10 year old son for a special Father/Son night. Our reservation was for 7PM. We left at 9PM happy and full. Unlike other restaurants, Ruth's Chris is not trying to rush you out to turn the table. Instead, it seemed they were wanting you to stay and spend time enjoying yourselves. Great experience!
Love love this place. I have tried 2 other Ruth's Chris places in other states and the food appears to be consistently great. Although it always baffles me why it is so difficult to get online reservations but when you get there, place seems empty, lunch or dinner. I always play it safe though and secure reservations. In one branch, I won't mention where, people ahead of me were turned away because they did not have reservations. I thought the place would be packed but, there were empty tables which remained empty even after I finished my meal. Wasted opportunity? Anyways, this time I had to have a late lunch or early dinner. Reservations set for 3:15pm and I had the dining room to myself. It was Friday during Lent, so for the first time, I had only seafood. The seabass was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was a smallish portion though. I had the seared tuna as starter and the portabella shrooms as a side. Creme brulée for dessert with coffee. Kind of disappointed that there was no manager who stopped by to say hello and ask how the meal was going as is per usual with my other visits. Perfunctory as this may be, it does show an attempt to make sure everything is going well for the guests. Ah well. First world problems, I know.
I’ve heard a lot about this place and decided to try it for myself. Delicious food from the salad to the desserts. Enjoyed every minute of it, the ambiance was great and so were the staff. Fairly clean though a little cramped. I will definitely be paying them another visit soon.
The venue feels old fashioned and dies not stand up to the quality of the food. Lighting up and renovating would really do good to this place. Steak was very good and so was the Cesar salad. The small cheesecake that was served as dessert for the deal menue was not good
I went to celebrate my birthday her on Tuesday and I must say the food was amazing. I had the salmon and shrimp with cream spinach and it was delightful. The staff was professional and attentive. The ambiance was very sultry and sweet. I highly recommend and will definitely come back.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The atmosphere on a Sunday evening was lovely. The staff was wonderful. The crabcakes, calamari and seafood mac/cheese ware all great. He had the 24oz steak and I had two 4oz. steak medallions w/shrimp. Everything tasted lovely. The cheesecake dessert was a great ending to a lovely Birthday night out. I can't wait to come back.
I came here the other night because my employer gave me a few gift cards he received since he frequents one of the other restaurants in the Tarrytown location. The service is outstanding at this location and the food is great. It really can compete with some of the other popular chains in the area like Del Frisco's and Morton's. I got the 12 oz Petite Rib Eye and it was cooked to my liking and had plenty of flavor. The prices for some of the items on the menu can be a bit steep, so having a gift card(s) does help a bit. The restaurant is beautiful and clean (including the bathroom) and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back again in the future.
