My son brought us to this place for a late breakfast... wonderful food drinks and service... bacon strips were more like bacon steak! Mmmmmmmm..bacon
Nice place for lunch that offers something for everyone. Nice service minded staff.
Quaint little place on a corner street. Probably only seats about 20 people. Food and drinks are fabulous. If you find yourself in this neighborhood and you're not in a big hurry, it's worth spending a little time here.
Best spot in the west village...my "go too" spot and the staff is the best
Kitchen open till midnight was hard to find even in the "city that never sleeps" and this one was a good find. Food great, service excellent, atmosphere...a bit loud.
Food, drink, staff...all excellent! This place is going on my list of favorites.
A great dinner, wine, and cocktails. A visit to the Village for this experience was certainly a highlight of our New York trip. Thank you for a wonderful evening and great customer service.
If you want to to know what it feels like to eat food created by Devine intervention. Joseph Leonard should be your first choice. This west village restaurant is a NYC jewel not to be missed.
A neighborhood place with world class cuisine. I'm so lucky to live right down the street.
Quaint little restaurant. Food is amazing and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Will make this a stop whenever we visit NYC.
Amazing food and fabulous customer service!! You can’t go wrong here!!
All around great dining experience. the food was amazing, the service staff were really professional and the venue has an amazing vibe.
Joseph Leonard offers a beautiful space and a commendable staff, creating a welcoming environment.
However, the overall dining experience fell short as the food lacked flavor, prompting us to send back one dish. Additionally, the cocktails were somewhat flavorless. Despite these shortcomings, the excellent service and appealing ambiance make it a place worth considering.
Charming spot on a corner - went here early on a sunny weekday morning. Just a nice classy vibe overall - worth checking out the photos from others.
For food, I wasn't starving and went for the breakfast sandwich - egg, cheese, jalapenos on a English muffin. No meat by default but I figured I'd give it a shot - maybe the spice would carry it to delicious victory. It looked like it was put together with love but unfortunately was pretty bland? Maybe not enough peppers or I should have added another protein. Next time I'll give the avocado toast a shot instead.
Wife got the mushroom croquet and that looked pretty great. Lots of cheese with a bed of mushrooms below. I regret not stealing a bite.
As for service, waitress was nice, but after attempting awkward eye contact for a while I did have to get up to get some ketchup since she was distracted. Not a big deal, place was quiet so I get it.
Looking forward to giving it another shot.
Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Alan is an inviting host whom I remember well. Love the cauliflower appetizer. The blue cheese complimented the steak well. I also enjoyed the roasted eggplant in the ratatouille!
Even in the city with so many places that offer great breakfast, Joseph Leonard stood out. Excellent care all the way through, even in their presentation. We tried coffee, hash browns, omelette and french toast and all were great! (The toast best of all). Plus, the place and staff are lovely.
100% yes. We went for brunch and got the cheeseburger and fried chicken sandwich. Both were so delicious, not a single thing I would change. The chicken was crispy and paired very well with the pickles. The burger was cooked perfectly to order, juicy, and came with dangerously addictive fries.
The ambiance was beautiful and quaint. It felt like a little hidden gem. Decor and vibe seemed natural and not a forced aesthetic.
The staff were all very polite and helpful.
I would love to go back asap!
A really great high end restaurant. Oh and the deviled eggs - please try the deviled eggs. Super tasty. All around a great classy meal.
We were visiting New York to meet up with a friend and came here for food and to catch up! Atmosphere is small but cozy and not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and the service was good! We ordered the burger and chicken sandwich which came out nice and hot. Everything looked and tasted great. We ordered a slice of carrot cake and banana toffee cake. The carrot cake was moist and the frosting wasn’t too sweet. I really enjoyed the banana toffee cake, good toffee to banana ratio! I’m glad I stopped by; it was a good place to catch up with friends!
This was one of the first restaurants I ever went to in New York and I keep coming back. The food, service, and atmosphere are perfect - this is the quintessential New York Bistro.
The bistro standards: roast chicken and burger are must haves. While the rotating vegetable options are always delicious and surprising. There are usually off menu specials that are consistently great when I have them. The menu isn't huge but there is something for everyone and every diet.
It is a small space, so reservations are definitely useful, but you can luck out sometimes and snag a spot at the bar.
Extraordinary, cauliflower to start was the highlight. Off menu Moules Paris Level, the Burger delicious with perfect fries. The Banoffee cake unreal. Beautiful people, great music best servers. Now a favorite
Reserved is okay before come to have chill and nice brunch here ❤️
All bread are use baguette🥖 including french toast 🍓 so you will enjoy the different tasty here! And the black coffee are all you can drink here so feel free to take a slowly brunch here.
What a wonderful place! We met up with some family for dinner here and had a fantastic evening. Daley was an AMAZING host to us and really elevated the dining experience in every way. We sat in a corner booth and it was cozy, comfortable and spacious. The cocktails were top-notch and food was some of the best we've had in a long time. (And we enjoy fine dining a few times a month). I can't recall everything our group ordered (it was quite the variety) but everything was well-seasoned, carefully crafted and absolutely delicious. This is definitely a go-to location for a wonderful dinner experience and I can't recommend it enough. Extra bonus if you're able to be hosted by Daley while you're there. :)
Went here for what we thought was brunch, but turned out they didn’t have it on the weekdays so we were quite disappointed. But we got the omelette, which looked a bit boring at the first glance but it was delicious. We sat at the patio, a bit cold for my liking (April) but I’m sure it’s perfect the warmer months!
Very cool vibe. Walked in late and sat at the bar had their fish croquettes and hummus which was amazing and their IPA to celebrate alone my son getting into his chosen college that day back in Houston! Music was just right not blaring. Bartenders were super friendly and the owner too. Will definitely be back every time am in the city. Thanks for a good time.
We went for a walk with my husband and decided to have a cappuccino, but we chose to order an omelet - spinach with goat cheese and some toast to try if it was good and it was definitely delicious, everything was delicious. Super recommended, it's a little expensive but it's worth it. I recommend it 100%
Definitely recommend this place for a Brunch!
We ate on the small terrace. The food and service was great! Its probably the best hash brown I had!
Ill definitely come back! Don’t forgot to make a reservation, it’s super busy otherwise
The food was delicious! Service was wonderful. The place is definitely a lot of movement going on all around. Then again this is the west village. Service was friendly. Prices was a little crazy. I ordered the chopped liver as a snack and it was amazing! This place is around the corner from the 1 train - Christopher street station! Check this quaint and charming restaurant!
