This is a fabulous restaurant. Everything is freshly made. We started off with fresh bread, butter and olive oil the bread was amazing I have to say the waiters was outstanding. Back to the outstanding food. We then had the salad with apples blue cheese bits and walnuts (Hugh, whole walnuts) Buffalo fresh mozzarella both dishes we mouth watering. For lunch we very much enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli's and the Casoncelli (veal, grana paranoid. Amaretti cookies, raisin. Butter and pancetta. Both dishes were outstanding. I would definitely revisit this restaurant!! You have to go here!!

I’ve been going here for over 10 years. The food never disappoints. Everything comes out if the kitchen piping hot! The drinks are great too.
The restaurant was exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for last night. The service was 2nd to none, the wine list was extensive and the food was delicious. We can not wait to go back. Also, thank you to our server David!
We live on LI and come in to this amazing restaurant. The staff the food the ambiance are all top notch.
My new fav place. Great food and atmosphere. David was great!
Patrycia and I had a great evening at ViceVersa. While we made a reservation for 5:30, it was not needed that early, but by 6:30 the place was packed! All of our courses, from appetizers to dessert were absolutely delicious and while we're not old enough to drink, ViceVersa seems to have a large list of wines and such to choose from. The service was great as well and we definitely plan on being back very soon.
Always excellent drinks, food and service. It's my favorite pre-show place for dinner.
I have enjoyed this neighborhood restaurant for a number of years, great service and food, a great spot to dine with friends.
Pleasantly surprised recommended by my friend Thomas Davis. Excellent food and ambiance exceptional. Great service as well. Definitely coming back w my wife.
Semi-secret gem of an Italian restaurant. It's the real thing! Franco at the front of the house is the consummate pro, warm, friendly and smart! I never pick my own wine here. I just ask what he suggests and it is always terrific. And Stefano and his staff in the kitchen have always impressed my Italian friends when they are visiting from Italy. Front of house and kitchen always go the extra kilometer for their guests. Perfect pastas and wonderful, interesting, tasty secondi. Leave room for dessert too! And maybe a lemoncello.
This is a wonderful restaurant with a warm welcoming atmosphere and friendly service to boot! The pear martinis are to die for!!
The food, atmosphere and service is still spoken about. We were there in April this year. I would recommend it to all my friends.
Ottimo il cibo, il locale è molto gradevole e sofisticato, buono il rapporto qualità /prezzo. Per chi viene in visita a New York li consiglio assolutamente
Loved our meal last night. The calamari and artichoke salad I will dream about. Delicious fresh pasta's. everything from the ambiance to the service was perfection.
High quality service and food in a friendly and inviting restaurant. The proprietors make everyone feel like family.
Pre theater dinner with friends
3 steps down from the sidewalk. Tiny outdoor lounge area out front. Great bar area. Beautiful dining room. Little outdoor eating patio/garden back of dining room. Service was great. Food was delicious and beautiful. Yummy bread/butter tray. We shared small squid ink spaghetti with crab in a mild tomato sauce appetizer (sorry no photo) We all loved. 2 of us had scallops 1 had pasta with tiny lamb meatballs. We finished every morsel. No time for dessert (darn)!!! Fantastic choice. I highly recommend.
One of my favorite places in the city! Service always impeccable and beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend. The bar is also amazing with extremely elaborate and delicious drinks.
Vice Versa is a wonderful Italian restaurant in the theater district of NY. The food is amazing, the service is great and the atmosphere is lovely. I have been there several times and I have taken friends and family and it is always a great success. The pastas are delicious and the salmon was excellent. I know I will be going again.
This restaurant has two outdoor seating areas. One is at the front and meant for those that enjoy people watching. The other is at the back and is meant for those seeking a more tranquil experience. We opted for the front, as the back wasn't in season yet and hence closed off.
Their happy hour is hard to beat. Fifty percent off (not a typo) practically all drinks and wines by the glass. It lasts from 4:30 pm (when they open) until 8 pm. Their drink options are solid and their appetizers are quite delicious. If you like arancini, definitely try theirs out. It's creamy, lush, and contains just the right amount of cheese. Their take on lasagna is something else. It feels healthy, yet flavorful beyond belief.
The service is exceptional. They're attentive, quick, and provide good recommendations. The restaurant is beautiful. Clean bathrooms, aesthetically pleasant bar, and plenty of room throughout.
Phenomenal, I guess. I kid you not, ViceVersa is a very beautiful restaurant and is definitely for the classy snob. Very, very expensive and the service is like robots - they really are on the ball. The food here to be honest is absolutely some of the best I have ever had. However, for eating about five pieces of ravioli on a dish the size of a car tire and drinking water, I should not have had to pay $40 for.
Mouth-watering Italian-themed cuisine. Great ambiance and service. A must dine in the Theater District. One of my favorites in NYC.
We arrived at this garden level restaurant on 51st street on a beautiful day. There were two patrons dining outside, but we decided to sit indoors. They were eating in the front, but ViceVersa does have outdoor seating in the garden area in the back. I hi
Very nice dinner. Have visited several times. Continues to be a great place for a meal especially before a show. Nice location.
Very nice indeed as with our first visit in 2019. Delicious luscious Italian cooking. Very big portions - why Americans are so XXXXL. Wines really good though mark-up fierce hence I docked a star.
Drinks were delicious, and both watered down. We went during happy hour, half priced drinks was a pleasant surprise. We tried a couple of appetizers- both excellent. Very pleasant place , great service , we will return.
Definitely try this one, a real find.
This is someplace special and I'd like to share it with you. I think the best metric for a business is customer lifetime value. For this reviewer a restaurant's consistent execution in product, service, environment and fair pricing trump all and gain my loyalty. Dear friends with a talent for living introduced us to this restaurant a number of years ago. There are thousands of restaurants in Manhattan. Yet we always seem to find ourselves back at ViceVersa. It doesn't matter if it's a pre theater dinner, getting together with an out of town guest or a date nite we'll make a booking. We live in New Jersey now and will still make the trip. This establishment delivers. You enjoy the experience. I'll let other reviewers fuss with descriptions. Put this place on your list.
Nice space in the garden level. 3 stars because it was very loud (it was a busy Saturday night), could use some sound dampeners. Enjoyed the calamari and scallop risotto.
Needed a last minute reservation before a show and this was one of the few options. Food was solid - not bad, not amazing, solid. Warm and comforting pasta. Service was excellent and very fast. We arrived at 6:15 and were done by 7.
My friends and I ate outside under the pergola on a beautiful warm night! 1/2 price cocktails from 4:30-8 was perfect for pre-theatre eats. The antipasto tower for 2 was delightful and fed all four of us! We also shared the beet salad and spinach meat ragout lasagna! We ate every delicious morsel!
Best Oso Bucco we’ve had. We have had great Oso Bucco before in Italy and restaurants owned and run by Italians here in the states. Wine selection was very good and included two fabulous reds on the less expensive per glass offerings. Ambiance was great and service treated us very well. Very pleased with our date night here.
This is a fantastic restaurant all the way around. It has become a great go-to as we always know we’re going to get great service and an outstanding meal. When people come in from out of town, this place is always top of mind.
The service here was impeccable. For our food we started with the mozzarella salad which was yummy. We then moved onto the scallop dish, the ravioli, and the seafood stir fry. Overall really good dining experience!
Excellent! Everything from the service to the food was exceptional! Our server Hasan was great! We were a group of 12 ladies, so you know 😉...and he managed to keep our orders straight and give us separate checks, which I know is a pain! He nailed it 👍 Everyone loved their food...from the salads to the desserts! I had the broccoli rabe as an appetizer and I’ve never had a more delicious and tender broccoli rabe! I wish I knew their secret. They sat us in their outdoor dining area and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect as was everything else! Definitely a place to visit again
ViceVersa is my friend’s pasta go to place. I have to say she is right! The pasta dishes were flavorful but also have perfect texture. Yes! Al dente! Soft outside and hard inside, which make every single bit very chewy! The grilled octopus was presented like a Pâté dish, tender and tasty. We weren’t able to sit in the garden due to the cold weather, so definitely will come back again to try some other dishes and enjoy their beautiful hidden backyard!
Went for the show tunes brunch with live performances by Broadway performers.
No extra charge for lively entertainment.
Great venue, only wish they were open for lunch.
Mouth watering Italian where the staff are confident and very knowledgable about the food and drinks menu! The food delicious, I recommend the stuffed crispy olives, steak and the carrot cake to finish. Visiting from the UK and will be back!!!
We were there on October ‘21 . Service was attentive, cocktails superb, and food wise delicious.
Amazing staff and food! Had the sautéed calamari and the scallops. Everything looked beautifully presented and tasted just the same! We also had the ricotta cheesecake and tried some other desserts and they all were top notch as well.
