One of my favorite places to go to in the world. Their food is always excellent, the vibe is relaxed and perfect, the booze is great. In all the years I’ve gone here, I’ve never not had a fantastic time enjoying this place and their food.

Last night was yet another stellar example of why this place is such a gem. Tucked in to the downstairs intimate theater for a fun show of creativity-music-storytelling (remember? what made the Village the Village is STILL going on here!), with people on either side of me sharing conversation and that precious sense of community...Followed by a superb dinner upstairs (the potato-spinach-mushroom-asparagus napoleon!), excellent wine list and relaxed atmosphere, great friendly service. And art on the walls! Hooray for the Cornelia Street Cafe for keeping the idea of cafe and cabaret alive and (literally) cooking.

Visited this spot after playing touch rugby, and I could not ask for anything better. We customized the menu and were only met with an overwhelmingly awesome response from Jeff, our waiter. He rocked, and the meals were to die for. World class service and exquisite food mean I'll undoubtedly be back there next week.

Delicious Food, Cosy Ambience We ordered the BLT and burger. Both were delicious! For the BLT, the bacon was perfect, bread lightly toasted, not too much mayonnaise- just right. Burger was succulent and juicy. Side salad was fresh. Only thing I didn't like that much was the Bloody Mary. It's untraditional; zingy but not to my liking. Didn't offer the same kick. Food-wise, portions are not big, just right for those with smaller appetites. Might be too little for those who prefer larger plates. The ambience is lovely and cosy. The decor is stylish and quirky.

Great food and ambiance. Had the best quiche EVER here! Great for coffee and they bake home made croissants. Definitely give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Is a great place. Service is friendly, food is delicious, nothing too sophisticated but good. The street is very nice as the whole area. I didn't go downstairs but they have a bar with a little stage for live music or karaoke. Highly recommend.

This place is ok. Came here for a couple of drinks. The wait staff is pretty good but they over checked on us a little, I thought they were trying to get us to order food. However they are friendly. my glass of wine smelled of egg and they were good enough to pour my wine into another glass. Prices are relatively reasonable for the area and the place is chill they didn't rush us or anything. Decent layout and space. They have a small outdoor space which is on the pavement. It can get loud depending on the time of day, and is good for people watching, if you're into that. I'll be back when I'm in the area

Tucked away in this quiet little corner of the village, One of the best places for live performance in the city. Early evenings are usually readings or really off beat music, there are rotations and regular musicians who play jazz. Food is good. Service is surprisingly quick. A few good beers on tap as well. I don't know why I don't come here more often.

Love this restaurant, especially because they are open all hours - very handy when you are jetlagged and want breakfast at 4pm or dessert at 11pm. Try the amazing hazelnut bread pudding if they have it, and their brunch set menu is fantastic value. Also love that you can both wine and tea at pretty much any hour - great if you are not in the mood for the same thing as your dining companion. Tables outside are lovely, staff pleasant and accommodating and the food very good. I've never been to their jazz evenings but hear the are good. A neighbourhood classic!

Service was good. A little slow but overall fine. We made reservations almost a month before we arrive and were seated right beside the food window. We did show upn15 min early but still we might have had a better table. Food was very good and the wine flight was perfect. Certainly a neighbourhood favourite and glad we had a chance to eat here.

How do I start? There were so many good things about our time there. The meal was delicious. The house made wine was delicious. We were treated to a story of the rich history of the cafe. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. If you're in the area go for the good food and I hope you get a bit of the magic too

Been coming here for decades and it's consistently had the best burgers around for sure! Great beer selection too, and some pretty upscale food, but seriously... those burgers! There are also live performances of a variety of things from music to storytelling in their cozy theatre. This place is a Village staple and for good reason.

One of my favorite places for hearing live music in the city - a hidden gem, I would say. Nice presentation, good sound. Food and drinks are served but it is a *listening* experience first and foremost. Cheap, too, typically $10/show plus a $10 food or drink minimum. The burgers are good, as is the beer on tap. There is a restaurant and bar at the main level, above the performance space. Can't speak for the restaurant other than the concert food, as I've never eaten there. Have hung at the bar before the show downstairs - the bartenders seem to be always fun and chatty.

This place is practically an institution it has been such a staple of the neighborhood. I went there with my husband after he had just moved from Texas. It was the perfect NYC restaurant for him to experience. The shrimp with risotto was divine. I had a pasta dish in cream sauce with vegetables and sausage. It was brilliant. The staff is very professional, for the most part.

This is a fun place to go to hear local and international jazz musicians play in the basement. The upstairs has two lovely dining rooms as well as a nice bar with flights of bourbon, gin or wine. Generally the cover is $10.00 with a $10.00 purchase. Good french bistro style food with a solid wine list, beer and top shelf alcohol and jazz. All the things I love and all in the west village of NYC.

This is a West Village institution and I have to say that it’s a great place to go for a drink but the food is very average. The people are super friendly but the service is a bit slow. I ordered Banana Bread and it was dry as the Sahara! But my Rosé hit the spot! Great place to sit outside and have drink whilst people watching.

This café offers great music, food, drink and entertainment. The club in the basement has great programming whether you are out and about early, late or really late. Good reasonably priced food - wine is a bit pricey. Great feel. Comfortable and unpretentious.

This is a Village treasure. Excellent food in a comfortable, attractive atmosphere. Excellent service. An amazing wine list. Performance space in a separate room, with music, poetry, ... A real gem, and part of the fabric of the neighborhood.
