Banana Pudding is their signature dessert. Bought three little, pretty cupcakes and one medium size Banana Pudding. It doesn’t disappoint me. Might be a little bit sweet but it tastes so so finger licking good!
Best place to have the banana pudding. I like very few foods related to banana and happily I can say this is my favorite of all. It's very delicious. Once you start eating it you cannot resist till end 😋. Even the small cup is sufficient for two.
I am obviously going to say that their banana pudding was my all-time favorite. Went here because my friend suggested it and now I am suggesting it here. Funny thing is I ordered the banana cream pie thinking that it was the same as the pudding... Lucky the lady behind me let me get another order in before I left the counter! Both desserts tasted fine, of course. The pudding was just a bit better? I can't explain it. But it just had a GOOD fluffy texture and consistent flavor throughout. We also got a brownie and a whoopie cookie. (Side note: I'm really excited for Magnolia Bakery to open in the Philippines. Hope it matches the quality.)
I have been to a lot of bakeries due to my sweet tooth but easily this one will always rank high in my list due to there variety of cupcakes 🍰 , brownies and best part which I feel was 🥧 pie’s , I had a brownie and a banana 🍌 creampie which was absolute heaven never had anything like it tough it was 10$ each but worth it
Their Red velvet cupcake is best one! I never tried better cupcake than it. Classic chocolate cupcake is also delicious and melting in your mouth. Their famous banana pudding so special recipe in my opinion but I couldn’t take same taste in different times, so interesting.

What a delight! I haven't boughten or eaten a cupcake for years, but curiosity drew me into their shop to check out their SATC claim to fame. I wasn't disappointed. Amidst the hustle bustle of New York, one steps through the heavy doors into a cool white wonderland of confection. A gargantuan cheesecake sat on the white marbled counter, so wide it's girth, I marveled how many dozen eggs went in, how much it weighed, how difficult was it to maneuver it onto the serving stand, and lastly, how did they manage to bake it in its entirety without one single crack? It was an amazing sight to behold!
But I was interested in their namesake cupcakes...
Chocolate, red velvet (still a thing?), vanilla, funfetti...of course I chose funfetti since I'm obsessed w Momofuku's funfetti birthday cake st the moment. An inch of pale pink buttercream w sprinkles on the edges, a mini cake. The server was so nice to help me from another station, since the 'cupcake station' server was engrossed in his conversation. At the till, the cashier didn't bat an eye, packaging my one cupcake into its own box and paper bag. I was expecting to be handed a paper napkin, but hey, we're not in Kansas anymore.
Back at the hotel, we held off as long as possible, admiring perfect tweeness of the fairy bun...but one nibble, and it became crumbs instantly. The buttercream ratio to cake was slightly over, but it was so delicious...Indulge if you have a chance!!!!

Tried some of the cupcakes and the famous banana pudding. The confetti and strawberry cupcake were nice, fresh and not too sweet. Didn't like the red velvet and flower cupcake though, a little crumbly. The banana pudding was quite nice, tastes almost like a bannofie in a jar.
I enjoy this cafe, very homey. They even serve coke in bootles. All their pastries are amazing. Its a touristy spot though. Once youve tried it you would wanna look for something different.
Amazing is the word. I just loved their cakes, pastries, hot chocolate. Try the red velvet cheese cake and the brownie with ice cream. Super fresh and amazing taste. It's mostly crowded so go there with time in hand. A must visit. I went there a lot of times, on my bday too. Slurp!! Scrumptious!!

We ordered banana pudding, a chocolate cheesecakes and coffee. The banana pudding was awesome also the chocolate cheesecake and lived up to there expectations. Being not a great fan of cheesecakes I will make magnolia an exception 😊

This was my first visit to NYC and magnolia was in my bucket list since I am a sex and the city fan. :D I had heard a lot about this place and i must say the place lives upto the expectations. The banana pudding and red velvet cupcake are the must try things! :)

Wasn't a cupcakes fan. But Magnolia's makes me love them so very much. I love their red velvet cupcakes, not too sweet. And who doesn't adore their banana pudding right? Everytime i come, The queue was so long. But i don't mind. Don't mind at all ;)
First, I tried a cupcake, it wasn't that good. However, banana pudding is awesome. I liked it so much that I can visit NYC just for tasting it once more. The small cup of banana pudding is not enough, prefer the middle or the big one.
The set up/setting is perfect for a small bakery/cafe. The cupcakes are delicious. Perfect place for dessert and a coffee.
Red velvet. I'm doing a red velvet challenge on my blog and Magnolia is definitely in the running as NYC's winner! I loved it! It is important to appreciate the fact that they bake it right behind the counter in their in-house kitchen. You can definitely taste that difference -- it was moist, fresh and made with love! I highly recommend the red velvet!
How can you not like something here?! Our favs were Key Lime cheesecake (so creamy!) , banana pineapple cupcake, and berry crisp. And the lemonade- Super good! A little tart, which made it taste all the better, almost like a limeade. Great service! Small seating area in bakery but bigger tables located in back.

Still salivating from the thought of it.... Magnolia bakery did not disappoint as many places with a lot of hype do. The chocolate cupcake was moist and soft, the icing was buttery and delicious. Certainly one of the best cupcakes that I ever had. The flourless chocolate cake was great, very rich and perfect with its hard topping and soft inside.
Moist yummy goodness,lol.... Just as the title say's Moist yummy goodness in every bite, I bought a bakers dozen 1 of each flavor & each and every one of the cup cakes were just divine.

Yes, we all remember the place made famous by that song and by Sex in the City. However, after having eaten a lot of NYC's cupcakes...and I do mean a lot, I realized that Magnolia's is severely overrated. Don't get me wrong, the place is great and the vanilla vanilla is tops, but in terms of variety of flavors, consistency, red velvet, etc. well, there are just better places in this great city. Go there once, and then move on, there are people in line.
Yummy. I have been a big fan of Magnolia Bakery down off Bleeker street for many years. I hated schleeping all the way across town and then having to wait in line for 30 minutes just to get a cupcake. I was very pleased to see that Magnolia opened up a branch on the UWS close to home. The cupcakes are just as delicious and there was virtually no wait. Even better, the cupcakes are a third of the calories of a Crumbs cupcake. This is a win-win situation for me!
It's all about the banana bread pudding. Cupcakes and cake are great but the real treat is the banana bread pudding that will make your heart sing. Don't leave here without trying it. The UWS location is much better than the one in the Village. This one has better seating in my opinion.
I really liked my hummingbird cupcake, it was super moist and I love the pecans in it. The frosting for me was a little too sweet or maybe cause we had cupcakes at 10 in the morning! My cupcake was so yummy that even my mom said it was good and she hardly likes to he sweets! My sister LOVED hers, it wasn't surprising since she is a complete chocoholic! The banana cream pie was very delicious. It is made with layers of vanilla wafers, fresh bananas, and vanilla pudding. It was rich and creamy, but actually felt quite light compared to most desserts.
New York's indigenous foods are fine, and its ethnic fare's good, but the depth, breadth, and quality of its dessert options are quite possibly the best we've had anywhere in the United States. It doesn't matter whether you're looking for something fancy
This place is a fantastic dessert spot! 🍰 Magnolia Bakery 🥧 has a phenomenal selection of cakes 🎂 and desserts 🧁 with their crown 👑 jewel 💎 being the world-famous 🌎 Banana 🍌 Bread 🍞 Pudding! 🍮Definitely a MUST HAVE when visiting NYC! 🗽 The classic flavor is great but they also have ever-changing monthly flavors (this December is Red 🔴 Velvet Banana Bread Pudding). I wish I came here more often!

One of the places I wanted to visit while visitng NY. I must say I cannot have enough of their sweets. I normally don't like banana, but when they suggested I try their banana pudding, I was not sure I wanted to try it. But my-oh-my I so loved the pudding that I had to treat myself with a second serving later during the day. A must visit in NY, go there take your time order sit and enjoy. Take Your Time. It's one little heaven in the busy city.
Great place. They're known for their banana pudding but their other bake goods are great too like German chocolate cake and lemon bars. The place is always packed but the line moves quickly. I typically don't like bananas in my baked goods but the pudding was amazing.
Two words - Banana Pudding!! Who would've thought that the one dessert that I remember most from my trip is a banana pudding, but wow it's so good!! Creamy and fresh, tastes like a banana pod in pudding form. So delicious and a must try!

We went at 7 pm on a midweek and their displays were full despite the longish and steady line of patrons. You can see them baking in the back. Great packaging for the various delicate goodies. I like banana pudding, but it’s not my favorite dessert. Theirs is amazing. If you get other items in addition to the banana pudding— eat the other things first because while they will be good— they won’t be as heavenly as the pudding.
Red velvet Banana pudding is amazing so smooth, should have white chocolate chips instead of normal.
Key Lime cheesecake is also silky and takes you aback.
Ordered a cake through the phone and there was a really wonderful lady there to help me out. She took the time to make sure that I got the order right.
The chocolate cake that I ordered was great. But since I had some leftovers, I kept it in the fridge-but then something happened to the cake and it didn't taste as good. The lady at the shop had recommended that I keep the cake at room temperature for better taste, which has worked out in the beginning. But had to refrigerate it at the end.
The cheese cake they have there is really good. Definitely try that.
I always have the vanilla cake with milk chocolate icing which is extremely moist now. In the past I found it to be dry because they didn't use eggs but now it is very moist and I think they may use apple sauce. You can always give them a call.
My other favorite is the banana pudding which is so light and whipped. It reminds me of whipped cream which is simply delicious and light. Vanilla wafers are added although I don't really need them so I always eat around them. I like to pick up the mini cup cakes as gifts everyone adores them. The taste is delicious.

I think one of the most recommended places people told me about before making my trip to New York was Magnolia Bakery. At first I thought, there’s no way a banana pudding could be that good. But oh my gosh I was so wrong. The first time I had Magnolia Bakery, I had it delivered to our hotel on a rainy night. We ordered the banana pudding and a slice of cake. The pudding was so fluffy and delicious!! The cake wasn’t anything that stood out to me too much, but still good. I enjoyed the banana pudding so much that I told my husband we had to stop and get some before we left back home. So the next day we went for a walk in Central Park and stopped at their conveniently located store for yet another banana pudding and also their apple crisp pudding. The apple crisp pudding is so unique! I think if I had to pick between the two, I would stick with the OG banana pudding but my husband would definitely go with the apple crisp. This definitely is a place that I will recommend to anyone in New York. We can’t wait to visit again soon. I do know that they now ship orders of pudding and cakes, Maybe I’ll have to give that a try!

First time visiting this bakery (location) and it won't be the last. The smells from the moment you walk in are enticing, service is good, they offer treats by the slice, cup cakes and even minis. I bought these last night and ate half, today the cake is still moist and delicious. Pictured is Red velvet, confetti cupcake and vanilla cheesecake.
I mean come on, who doesn't like and enjoy great tasting desserts? This is the place to come and get your sweet tooth filling. 😋 Plus if you know about the history of this Bakery, then you have more of a liking due in the ownership of this business.
