This French restaurant is a gem! The food and wine are delicious, and the cocktails specialist (François, if not mistaken) is incredibly talented and funny. Having lived in Paris, the marble floor and decoration have a straight-out-of-France feel. A must-go
Great resturant. The flavor for all of their dishes are just spot on and was execute with precision.
I went with a party of seven for brunch. We called ahead to make a reservation. Wonderful all around experience. The wait staff was so friendly and the food was excellent.

Incredible vibe. The restaurant is great in terms of food and drinks. The bar has a large collection of cocktails and is well decorated. Lighting is fantastic!!! People is friendly, careful and professional. Food is great, We took both fish and meat and they were well cooked. Portions were big!!
Service is impeccable. Ambience is great and very cozy. My friend and I️ were done with our meal and just chatting - we didn’t feel rushed to get out. Food was good, drinks were good. I️ would definitely go back again. Easy to get to and good for groups, date night, or catching up with a good friend.
Excellent place for brunch. Wait time is not very long. It's a bustling restaurant and very hot on the New York scene. Service is attentive. We made some modifications to our pizza and the kitchen obliged. Roasted pear and ricotta pizza drizzled with honey is better as the last bite (dessert pizza as opposed to a main entree).
Very nice and simple French restaurant. Great and simple food with great service. I loved the space, the atmosphere, the bar and the bathrooms. Reminded me of Paris a lot. With an elaborate wine list, this is a hidden gem on Houston and highly recommended!
Fantastic burger and my friend loved his lobster ravioli. The decor made me feel back at home in Paris and it's low maintenance feel made us so comfortable! Will definitely be back.
It looks closed, even when open so tug on the door handle if you're in doubt.
Definitely a good spot - not the most special place out there in terms of food, but it's solid. And it's a great place to gather a group. The service is superb. Upon one of my visits to this restaurant, the waiter poured flaming shots into the mouths of several diners within my group. Now that's service.
From savory to sweet...their pizza and comes in so many varieties. Pizza is baked in a wood oven. Crust is nice and airy... ingredients are just plain delicious. Atmosphere is fun. Friendly staff. Also an awesome location to a variety of other places to venture to.
Every aspect of our dinner was perfect. Our waiter was just the right balance of friendly and helpful (we were not surprised to learn that he was the senior staff member). The bouef tartare, pate and foie gras were excellent. The cocktails were also amazing, and we found the perfect half-bottle of wine (great for a weeknight) to go with our entrees. Our booth was cozy and comfortable despite the dreadful cold outside. I can see this becoming a favorite spot.
When Dale said we were going to a French Bistro on the corner of Bowery and Houston Street, I rolled my eyes…… Dale doesn't generally like French Bistros and I don't like to fight traffic with a half hour $18 taxi ride for that kind of dinner……..but, ok, our dinner guest lives in the neighborhood and the restaurant got a good review in the NY Times (generally another reason not to go).
Cherche Midi was a pleasant surprise.........a large, square room designed to look the way it should (light of hand)...........a pleasant greeting from the folks in charge..........a nice table spaced so there's action but not close enough to make new friends………and you can hear each other talking even though the restaurant is designed with hard surfaces.
Across the street from Whole Foods, the clientele looks it...........that's a good thing. Staff if plentiful, young, attractive and on the ball. Appetizers were terrific. Entrees workmanlike.
If we lived in the area, we'd come all the time..........it's that kind of restaurant. As we don't, it's on the list when having dinner with people who do.
The pizza is among the best in NYC and the staff is excellent. However, what ruined the experience is that Spanish music is played in the dining room. If Pulino's is an Italian Trattoria, why do diners have to hear Spanish music? This music is more appropriate to a taco joint. Diners who go to Italian restaurants DO NOT want to hear Spanish music - it only belongs in Spanish restaurants. When will restaurant owners realize this?
Pretty nice big cafe atmosphere, great service and delicious food. I'll definitely be coming again. The main floor reminded us a bit of Grand Central Terminal's lower floor, in a good way, probably because of the illumination and faux arches. The black label burger was great, and the french fries on the side were fried right. The ile flottante dessert was like eating a dream.
