Came here on a chilly afternoon for and apple strudel and a hot chocolate. Beware of the line! It wasn’t bad but waiting in the cold kinda sucked. The doorman is SO friendly and great and managing folks. Once inside, the atmosphere is truly unique. Can’t say enough good things about the interiors. T
Yes you have to queue and yes it's worth it for the beautiful atmosphere and lovely food. There is an additional dining room downstairs that usually has tables open if you'd rather not wait. The Viennese coffee and cakes are lovely, we had the Kirschtorte and an espresso topped with whipped cream. W
It is always a plesure to come here. Food is delicious and entourage is very elegant and european. Today we wete a little disappointed. We came there and were checked in at 4:10pm. And then 40 min latet we were told that they are having an event and closing at 5pm

This is an amazing place if you're looking to find a bit of Europe in NYC! Sometimes, you might get lucky and secure a table without a reservation or a long line, but I recommend booking in advance. The food here is incredible - from sausages and soup to desserts, everything is so delicious!

I absolutely love Cafe Sabarsky. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant and the servers are very attentive. Really liked their klimt-inspired cake, but definetly is an expensive spot worth coming to for the vibes over the food. They had some great pianist playing last time I was there. My favorite plan

Dessert review: Exceptional European desserts with the perfect texture and great taste. Prices are slightly higher but are acceptable ($11-$14) given ambience and European feel of the place. There is usually a bit of a wait (15-20) at peak times to get in (be sure to be in Cafe and not museum line).
Worth the wait. The wiener schnitzel was fantastic and the potato/cucumber salad was the perfect complement (I think there might be horseradish?). Chic hidden gem; a sophisticated all day cafe inside the Neue Gallery. Make reservations. Go for the wiener schnitzel or just drinks and desserts. There are so many lovely cakes and Austrian treats.
