Best chocolate souffle I've ever had.
We came here on a Monday evening at 6pm and it was packed! We snagged a table outside because it was surprisingly not that cold for a December evening. Try to get a reservation in advance.
We grabbed a small bite and some cocktails. The drinks were excellent! Highly recommend getting the Caffee Dante coffee! It’s a seasonal drink, but it should be on their permanent menu.
Loved this place! The best spot if Negronis are your jam! Pick any one on the menu and it is a home run! They even have the Classic Negroni on Tap! My server Roberto was outstanding. I loved the Bianco Negroni, Classic Negroni and really loved the Unlikely Negroni!
I truly cannot wait to return!
Came here with my wife for some drinks, we enjoyed it so much that we came a second time during our trip. Drinks, staff and atmosphere are all great. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cute spot for drinks.
Walked in as a party of 2 on a Thursday night around 9pm and it was packed but we were lucky and got seated right away. They play the music really loud so we had to yell to hear ourselves over the music.
The drinks here were superb as always. My friend’s Negroni was strong by well mixed and my drink was off the summer menu and really good.
We also ordered the chicken parmigiana and side of broccolini to share and it was all amazing. The chicken parmigiana was really thinly pounded and not too heavily breaded. The broccolini was seasoned just enough and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were perfect compliments to our drinks. I’ll definitely be back but hopefully if I go a bit earlier the music won’t be so blaring.
Voted best bar in the world for multiple years, the negroni happy hour here can't be beat. Solid Italian food at their original location in Greenwich village with some of my favorite cocktails in the city.
Absolutely perfect afternoon cocktails outside at Dante! Attentive wait staff made sure our waters were re-filled and helped when we couldn’t choose from the lengthy menu. All around just the *most* lovely day!
We arrived just as the kitchen was closing between lunch/dinner, but what we saw & smelled when leaving made us a sure bet for a return trip during meal service!
Ate here early. 15 minutes was the shortest wait I've ever heard of for Dante. Perks of going early. We had the arancini, the steak tartare, the tagliatelle, and the chicken parmesan. Everything is perfectly executed. Can't wait to come back.
I loved Dante so much, if I move to NYC I decided I need to be within walking distance of this place. They have the most epic negroni menu, and you can’t miss the frothy OJ and grapefruit juice at brunch.
I walked in and was able to get a seat at the bar with no reservation, but felt lucky given how busy they are during brunch on the weekend. A reservation is probably best.
Highly recommend the breakfast pizza.
We had a delightful brunch experience at Dante NYC. Visiting on a Sunday, we were fortunate to secure a table outside. Our main motivation was to indulge in their brunch offerings, and we were not disappointed. The food surpassed our expectations, offering an authentic taste of Italy. The flavors were exquisite, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. It was a memorable dining experience that left us craving for more. Whether you're a brunch enthusiast or a lover of Italian cuisine, Dante NYC is a must-visit destination that will satisfy your cravings and leave you with a lingering appreciation for their delectable dishes.
I’m reviewing Dante as a bar not as a restaurant (otherwise I would give it at most 3 stars). Overall, I would recommend to have appetizers and drinks but definitely not to have your main courses of your dinner/launch.
We went with my wife on a Saturday night without reservation and we were able to get 2 sits at the bar pretty quickly.
Food is a bit mixed: Good for quick bites joining your drinks only.
1) We ordered two appetizers, the focaccia - which was one of the best I’ve tried (super soft on the inside and crispy on the outside) - and the cheese selection - which was super high quality (one of the best I had in NY). This left us with super high expectations for the main courses.
2) We had 2 main courses: "Tagliatelle al limone with pistachio pesto & stracciatella" which was okeyish but definitely not a highlight of the Italian selection of NY. The gnocchi was horrendous: dry, hard and without flavor…I had better from an ALDI.
Drinks: There is a great selection of Negronis and cocktails. Loved the Negronis and my wife really enjoyed one of her drinks. Would definitely come back just for the Negronis.
Service was good but a bit slow. They seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people.
The atmosphere had a great vibe. Definitely a good place to have some drinks.
