Grandiose and opulent. Certainly a place Oscar Wilde himself would call Home. I was truly impressed with the decor. I could go there time and time again and see something new. The antique collection is out of this world. I was shocked to learn since that this restaurant only opened this past summer. The history is very interesting about this building. I recommend reading up about it. I happened upon this restaurant while walking to another restaurant and made it a point to come back for brunch the next day. I was with 4 other women and we were all very pleased with our meals. I was half expecting mediocre food because the ambiance was so extraordinary but that is not what we got. A few mistakes were made when the food came out but nothing we felt we needed to be address. The food was delicious! The only issue we had was with the coffee service. We had to ask for cream (received skim) and then for sugar which the server promptly removed to give to another table. I found it odd it was the only sugar they had. When I asked for a second cup of coffee I had to wait a while to ask for the sugar back and my coffee was nearly cold at that point. Not a big issue but for brunch their should be more than one sugar bowl available. I don’t drink but I would love to return to enjoy the evening bar atmosphere. It looks like a truly fun place to meet with friends. I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Our new favorite place for lunch! The decor is fabulous; romantic and indulgent. Lots of marble, stained glass, antique furniture and art. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Wine is included in the lunch special!!! The red house wine is mellow and warm, white is bright. We liked. Burger was cooked perfectly to order. Chicken sandwich was generous, came with excellent bacon. The thick potato fries are custom, portions are almost overly generous. The cost is equivalent to food truck prices yet the ambiance and quality were more like fine dining. We will definitely return, anytime we want to make a meal into something special.

I had the pleasure of spending one of my evenings in Oscar Wilde during my trip to New York this week. It’s one of the best bars I’ve ever been to - decor is amazing, great atmosphere, staff are super attentive and it just had that “wow” factor in abundance. Best of luck with it!

I love Oscar Wilde's... On business from Australia, I just keep coming back... the staff are great, the cocktails amazing, and the attention to detail in the design of the place - impressive. My son is named after Oscar Wilde... which makes this place feel a little like home x

We chose Oscar Wilde for our wedding day dinner, and we were not disappointed! We treated ourselves to everything we wanted, including some fancy cocktails. When our server found out we had been married that morning, we were given free champagne. We'll be back next month for brunch with friends and we can't wait.

Definitely a place you have to check out. Longest bar in NYC, used to be headquarters for prohibition office, and finally the architecture and decor is awesome. The final is the food/drink was great.

Very trendy clientele. Not in a bad way, just be ready for it. Tons of taps. Tons of drink options. Great location, close to Penn Station and some fine hotels. Did not try the menu, but the smoke coming off some of the dishes smelled great. I’ll be back.

It was a GREAT experience and so nearly a 5 star. Sadly the service was terribly slow and a little confusing (the barman took my card and kept it for about 10 minutes - that was after waiting about 10 minutes to be served). It was the Friday before Christmas though and we entered at the 2pm opening time, so it was very busy. The decor and atmosphere were fantastic. It is definitely worth a visit!!! We didn't eat as food wasn't being served until 4pm.

I absolutely loved everything about this place the decorations were super impressive and they really outdid the theme! The food was really good and i felt full leaving, totally worth the price. The lobster roll was fire! and theyre fries are bomb, i personally love wedge fries. The bathroom was even decorated and the service was really good. We ordered our food and drinks and they cane super fast. The cider beer drinks were really good. Overall i was super impressed with the quality of my dining experience. 10/10 recommend!

Stopped by for a drink and to check their delightfully "excessive" christmas decorations .. the server was too kind to make changes in my drink and make it to my taste. A must go if you in for a vibes/ cliches / corny things.. it celebrates two most major North American festivals - Halloween and Christmas!! Drinks were cool too... I didn't grab any food as I sat at the bar! Hadn't reserved in advance!

I was truly mesmerized by the stunning Alice in Wonderland theme at this location. Every corner is intricately decorated, from the white rabbits and the Cheshire Cat to interactive decor elements like flowers that bloom and close. The ambiance truly makes you feel like you've stepped into another realm. What's unique about this venue, reminiscent of Oscar Wilde's ever-evolving stories, is its dynamic decor. I eagerly anticipate their upcoming fall transition to Halloween and then Christmas display. This promise of transformation ensures every visit offers a new atmosphere to immerse oneself in. As for the culinary delights, I was thoroughly impressed. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the pork buns were delectable, and the fruity drinks were refreshingly delightful. But what truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The staff struck a perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion, ensuring we were comfortable without ever feeling rushed. This establishment caters to various dining experiences. Whether you're settling down for a prolonged meal with a book in hand or looking for a quick bite, they've got you covered. With a blend of standing areas and dedicated dining spots, it breaks the mold of being just a bar or a restaurant, offering a versatile environment for all. In essence, if you're seeking an ever-evolving, magical atmosphere with delectable food and top-notch service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

I wish people were dancing 💃🏼 Impressive decor, nice drinks. Food is fine for the bar, nothing super exciting, we had burgers and it was fine. Pretty pricey and doesn’t include fries, but for super popular bar it’s acceptable. Great music and DJ, but nobody dance. Probably because it’s not enough space, but it would be so much fun! Worth to see the decorations.

We were wowed from the minute we walked in the door, an absolutely fun place to be. The 'It' spot! We stopped in for a drink to celebrate the holidays. Didn't order food. Service was fast and courteous. The drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend.

An incredibly festive place to spend with your loved ones and friends. We were here during Christmas and it was awesome. Reserve ahead of time. We got lucky and found a couple empty seats at the bar. The negroni was expertly crafted and served in excellent vintage like cocktail glasses. The house whiskey was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Not every single dish was outstanding but there were some hits. The decor is phenomenal, cannot wait to see how it changes next season. Servers were attentive. Aside from the fact that I was sitting at a table and had water dripping on my head from the ceiling, I'd say it was a good night out.

Great atmosphere, the Chicken Pot Pie was delicious, and the drinks were perfect. The service was surprisingly fast for how packed it was. Definitely worth stopping by, but be prepared to move quickly when a spot on the bar opens if you didn't make reservations.

It’s so much fun at @oscarwildenyc ! The excessive seasonal decorations are awesome, and the bar wasn’t too cramped on a Friday night so I was able to chat and vibe with the music (great 2000s selections) even though there were no sit down table or bar seats available. Also my drink was the prettiest and everyone else was jealous and asked about it😂🥰

The place is great but when it comes to vegan food there not that many options. I did many sides and some hummus to share and fries. Wish they had more elaborate vegan food. Drinks were really good and also love it is always decorated depending on on the time of the year.

This place essentially turns into a xmas night club... impossible to find a place to stand. We got lucky and took a Table reserved for later, promising we would leave soon. Got amazing drinks, ate the charcuterie and calamari which were amazing. The xmas vibe is outstanding. I recommend reserving a table! But feels like a must see at least once for the holidays.

I’m gonna be coming here way more often! I was looking for a cute place to celebrate my birthday, and this restaurant had that in spades. I was able to get a reservation for 4 on a Sunday night. The restaurant is honestly huge, and they have a lot of seating to accommodate. We came just in time for the Alice In Wonderland theme, and the whole place really felt like we fell down into a rabbithole. The $16 cocktails lured me here. Not only are they strong, but they are also unique and insta-worthy! If you like a sweeter and richer type of cocktail, then you have to try the Playful Princess! The cardamom gin and strawberry combo is just too good. If you like a bit more tart, then I’d recommend the What’s The Story, Glory. It was all around a tasty drink, and a stunner visually too. Food-wise, this restaurant honestly surprised me. The calamari and truffle fries are so good?? And the Frutti de Mares was also delicious! Their menu is pretty limited entree wise, but it’s a solid one for sure. All in all, this is a great spot to impress your friends and family, whether they live in the city or are visiting from out of town. Can’t wait to see what theme they’ll have next!
