One of my top 10 favorites in NYC. Great vibe, great food and as always a great crowd. The best of La Goulue including the chef and management.
The food and the service were superb! The butternut squash soup was sublime and the salmon was perfection. I also loved the bed of lentils on which the fish was served. My friend had the Branzino special, but disappointed than it was very dry. The server offered to return it to the kitchen and bring him something else. My friend opted for salmon like I had and loved it.
Absolutely delicious food! Great service and atmosphere! Highly recommend
The best restaurant in the NYC with the most kindest staff and excellent food. Loooooove it
Fabulous. .Ravioli with Lobster. ..Very soft pasta and delicious flavor. ...
Delicious Classic French food, Great staff, Good drinks,
What more could one want on a bitter cold NYC day.
Incredible food, atmosphere, service & wine Tres Bien! Truly memorable experience & sooooo hope to return one day...
One of my favorite cozy little French Bistros! Always welcoming and delicious food! Can't tell you my favorite dishes because I am never disappointed
The food was excellently prepared and the staff knowledgeable and attentive. Plus Zoë Deschanel was there and we had a nice chat. All around great experience.
A wonderful experience overall.......great food cooked to perfection.......amazing service ...treated like royalty......lovely atmosphere.......not a bad thing to say about the entire experience.....
One of our nicest experiences in New York !! I certainly would love to visit again on my next visit . Excellent food, and service .
One of my favorite restaurants in New York whenever I'm in the city I always make a point to dine at orsay!
Just stopped for a glass of Proseco after Thanksgiving dinner with my family and friends. Warm and delightful place. Will come again for dinner.
The service was excellent; however, I was not particularly impressed by the food or portion sizes, especially considering the high prices.
The restaurant deserves five stars for its service, but when charging premium prices, as a customer, I expect something spectacular. I don't want to be overly harsh in my review, so I'm giving four stars. However, I don't think I would visit here again or recommend it to my friends.
From the moment we enter the restaurant, the service is outstanding. Hands down one of the best service I have ever experienced. The food is amazing as well. This is easily within the top 3 French restaurants among all the ones I’ve been to.
I was here the other day with my mother for a late lunch early dinner. The ambience is amazing, as it will transport you out for NYC for a brief moment. The staff are sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable.
We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 mains, 2 desserts and maybe a couple glasses of ;) the food was beyond delicious. From start to end, it was an amazing experience and I will frequent more with my mother and make new memories.
Old world charm, decor, atmosphere, and food. Tasty, nice portions yet not amazing. Staff friendly, pleasant and not hovering. Will go back.
We love Orsay! Such a beautiful little spot with a warm atmosphere and such gracious hosts. Olivier made us feel so welcome and we had the absolute best time last week. We ordered champagne and small bites. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you!
Lovely French restaurant with good food and European atmosphere. Service was a bit slow last Saturday, but it was very busy, so perhaps that was the issue. Eaten here before and service was good. Look
Beautiful space, wonderful staff, delicious food and wine.
Our waitress Juilissa was fantastic! The Crab Cakes and Branzino were excellent!
I loved the experience and will definitely be back.
4.5 Stars 🌟
Lovely environment. Expensive. Food good but nothing outstanding. Cheese souffle disappointingly not tasty kind of bland. ( Waiter said "what the restaurant is known for.")
The gazpacho was delicious and the escargot was good without the shells. The modules and frites was enough for two, prepared in a Thai manner and the special was dover sole which was excellent. Desert was tarte tatin served with vanilla ice cream and a sublime chocolate mousse
An old school-style French restaurant,
As in France the waiters are courteous and professional.
The dishes are very tasty and served with full care.
Also, the outdoor terrace gives the restaurant a pleasant atmosphere.
For a meal in Orsay you get full value for money.
Food is really great here. I recommend the escargot! Wine is great here too and the atmosphere has an old world feel! I recommend you check out the this place!
Orsay offers a charming escape to the heart of France with its cozy atmosphere and authentic French fare. This quaint spot, while a bit on the sleepy side, manages to transport you to the streets of Paris with its delightful menu.
The food at Orsay is nothing short of exquisite. From the escargot to the decadent desserts, each dish showcases a commitment to French culinary traditions. The flavors are rich, and the presentation is a nod to the artistry of French cuisine.
Now, the ambiance – it’s undeniably tranquil. While some might find it a tad sleepy, others will appreciate the laid-back atmosphere as a welcome break from the hustle and bustle. It’s the kind of place where you can savor your meal in peace, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed evening.
The service, though not overly energetic, is attentive and polite. The staff seems genuinely invested in ensuring your dining experience is enjoyable, adding a touch of warmth to the overall visit.
In giving Orsay four stars, it’s a nod to the fantastic food and the unique, mellow ambiance. If you’re in the mood for an unhurried taste of France, Orsay is the place to be. Just be prepared for a dining experience that moves at its own, slightly sleepy, but utterly charming pace.
We had a wonderful experience at Orsay starting with outstanding friendly service. The staff opened the front door for my mother, and the servers paid prompt attention to us. My wife enjoyed the soup and beef bourguignon. My mother enjoyed the Orsay salad with Sole as main dish. I enjoyed the Orsay salad and beef bourguignon. We finished dinner with an exquisite plate of cheeses and red wine.
