Amazing ramen and worth the wait! Went without a reservation on a Wednesday evening during the holidays and had a 2 hour wait which isn’t bad because you can explore a lot of other things around the area. Both the classic and the spicy tan tan really impressed us and were definitely worth the hype. The broth was perfectly flavoured and the meat was so tender and nice, loved it! Service was fast, courteous and simple just like it should be. Definitely recommend checking it out

Noodles itself average level, but the quality of meat 👍👍. Great vibe in the restaurant. The dessert was special. Banana base but with butter and nut that made the texture tasted like cake. It's Michelin ranked restaurant.

This restaurant received Michael star continuously for 3 years (2019-2021). We went here for lunch and unfortunately didn’t had a reservation. Had to wait 50 minutes to get a table. So please reserve a table before if you ever plan to visit this restaurant. We ordered the following items: 1. Kinoko Bun - it came with layer of egg salad and grilled mixed mushrooms. The bun was soft and was melting in the mouth. 2. Miso Ginger Ramen - I’m not a ginger fan, but I liked this ramen. The flavor was ginger wasn’t strong so that was nice for me. Surprisingly, they didn’t put mushrooms or tofu in here. I believe adding these items will increase the flavor of ramen. 3. Ban ban kinoko - one of the best peanut noodle I ever had. One must try this!! Overall, the portion size was big. Be mindful of the wait time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Not so easy to see. They have small sign. The Michelin Guide Star ⭐️ is the real attraction to why diners like this place. The food is delicious. Many reviewers here complain about the service here, especially during peak hours. However we did not experience any poor service. New York City prices so bring your Credit Cards 💳. Definitely worth a try, especially if you’re Ramen 🍜 fan. I liked that the pork was thinly sliced. We will definitely be going back.

Second time I've been here. First was three years ago. I'm glad to report quality is still the same. The spicy tan tan is a standout. My girlfriend really liked the vegan offerings here. Her ramen was the best vegan ramen either of us have ever tasted.

The handmade noodle is so good, as well as their soup. The coffee shaved Ice is surprisingly good. Fresh cream on top, strong flavor of coffee ice layered on top of vanilla ice cream. Will be back again.

Mixed opinions of Tonchin. I like it, but to me, it is not the most amazing ramen place. The pork is a touch too salty and I never feel inclined to drink all of the broth in the tonkotsu ramen. That is a different story, however, with the tsukemen dipping ramen. Ask for bone broth at the end of the meal to mix into the dipping broth to create the tastiest, most savoury broth you've ever had. The rice ball appetizers are also incredible.

My friends and I ordered: Chasu Rice Balls Tonchi Classic Tokyo Tonkotsu Spicy Goma Tsukemen Ban ban chicken Match Kaki Gori I would definately come back again for the Spicy Goma Tsukemen and/or the Tonkotsu. I dont usually like kakigori with it being too icey with very little flavoring but this place has it down pat! The matcha goes through to the core with the fluffiest cream on top was perfect! Although its a bit pricey the portion is huge to share with others. I would come back just for this.

Rochon Ramen is an absolute gem in the heart of New York! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. The experience that followed was nothing short of fantastic. The ramen here is a masterpiece. Each bowl is a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted to perfection. Whether you're a fan of traditional tonkotsu, spicy miso, or vegetarian options, Rochon Ramen has something for everyone. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are cooked to perfection, and the toppings are fresh and abundant. One thing that truly sets Rochon Ramen apart is the attention to detail. The presentation of each dish is impeccable, and you can tell that every ingredient is carefully selected and prepared with care. The staff takes pride in their work, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or a quiet date night. The menu offers a variety of options beyond ramen, so there's something for every palate. I also appreciate the vegetarian and vegan-friendly choices available. It's great to see a restaurant that caters to diverse dietary preferences without compromising on taste. Rochon Ramen is a culinary delight that I can't recommend highly enough. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment, this place should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu.

Love this place. Definitely worth trying it if you’re a Ramen fan. I always get the “Spicy Tan Tan” ramen - delicious! The pork is sliced thinly, very delicate, and it’s not as fatty as in other places👍🏼 side salad with the lunch offer has a delicious sesame(?) dressing. Only one star deducted cause it’s a little pricey. Staff is friendly and attentive! Restrooms are clean and have a nice scent (who wants to dine in a restaurant that doesn’t have tidy restrooms right?!) I will be back!

Today was cold and i was looking for a good soup around the ESB then found Tochin for Ramen. They open at noon and i got there around 11.55am there was already a line of about 20 people on a Saturday. I ordered a vegan onigiri (rice ball) and the Vegan ramen, everything so good and flavorful! Spent about $30

This place is terrific! The vegetarian ramen had too much ginger but other than that every part of the experience was absolutely perfect- from the service and the atmosphere to the food itself. Such a great experience, highly recommend anyone in New York to dedicate an evening to this restaurant, because it’s one of a kind!

They accept both walk ins and reservations. We walked in for table for 2 around 6pm Sunday night and got seated around 15 min. So not bad at all. We got.. 1) chicken bun which was delicious. 2) gyoza, honestly it was just ok. 3) Classic Tokyo ramen The chicken bun was really good, highly recommend. I would say skip the gyoza. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, the char sui was a little too thin and dry for my liking but my partner likes it. The noodles were good. The scallions were a nice touch. Service was good. It was about $91 USD total. So I would say about the same price as other ramen joints like Ichiran. I would say if you are around the area and wanting ramen definitely check it out but I wouldn't travel out of the way for it.

The taste is fantastic, maybe the best ramen I've ever tasted, even better than those authentic ones I had in Tokyo Japan. Service very professional. My son tried to cancel one bowl of noodles as we wanted to try some other food in the menu, the request was carefully and thoroughly followed through. Other food we ordered tasted magnificent and price very reasonable too. Food didn't take long to be served too. I told my son this is a must go restaurant whenever he has friends to bring to NY and he agreed.

Loved our experience at Tonchin. They were able to accommodate a large reservation, which was a huge plus. Service was great. We ordered the tabesaki, tsukune buns, chasu rice ball, smoked dashi ramen, Tokyo classic ramen, and spicy goma tsukemen. Everything was delicious! Each broth had a rich and distinct flavor. Highly recommend!!!
