Omar’s is great. Bustling, casual order-at-the-counter restaurant serving authentic middle eastern food (falafel, shawarma, etc). Quick and efficient, great for lunch. Can order to go or stay and eat in the dining area in the back half of the space. The veggie combo is great and filling. Friendly staff, tasty foods

Wifey had a craving for Mediterranean food, we walked a good 25 minutes to get to this place, i am so glad we did. We had the falafel pita, the chicken pita and the lamb pita with a side of hummus and falafel. You could also order a platter, it comes with 2 sides and the pita is on the house. You order your food and have a choice of take out or dine in. The food will come to your table if you decide to dine in. There is ample amount of tables to sit and enjoy your meal. The pita was soft and warm, the meat was fresh and flavorful. What made the taste even better was the sauces, there was a garlic /yogurt,mayo and a spicy sauce. The owner was very friendly and offered us some free goodies to carry with us.

This place is absolutely delicious. Definitely a little pricey for a lunch spot, but you get a lot of food. I got the Chicken shawarma platter with hummus and Greek salad. It comes with baklava and pita. If you see a line outside don’t be deterred, the line moves super quick and the food is worth the wait!

We were a party of 9 and the food was still served quickly. It was fresh and tasty, especially the kefta kebab. The waiters were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

One of the great things about NYC is that sometimes you walk into an unassuming local restaurant and find a delicious meal. The garage attendant next door made the recommendation and the lunch and service did not disappoint. Delicious chicken shawarma , hummus, eggplant accompanied by piping hot and fluffy pita bread. Also, Angelica—helps customers in the dining room — was a delight. I highly recommend.

The true original fast casual. Great food, great service. Gala and his guys do a good job getting food out. Angelica gave great service. Take advantage of the empty dining room.

Wow. I have had a lot of Mediterranean food in my life, and this one takes the cake. EVERYTHING was delicious. The lentil soup was divine. They also have great sauces, hummus and tzatziki. Food was very quick. 10/10 👏🏽

This is THE lunch spot during the work week in Midtown. Omar's offers the best chicken shawarma in the area. On top of that, they have ample indoor seating in the back. If you order food to go, they'll generously give you a piece of baklava as well. A cherry on top for sure. Pro-tip: I normally get the pita, but the platter consists of larger portions plus two sides. Order wisely!

Heard great things about the food here and lunch did not disappoint! I got the veggie combo. The falafel was absolutely fantastic. Hummus and baba ganoush was great too, along with the tahini. Came with a piece of baklava that ended up being the best I’ve ever tried. Happy I found this restaurant and would definitely come back again. Check it out if you’re in the area! Remember to bring cash!

the lamb is good. the pita is good. the pita dipped in hummus is gassed. but be careful about eating this at work, it will make you feel really drowsy and tired.
