A lovely place for brunch, lunch , or dinner spot in upper east side . I ordered the eggs Benedict, warm artichoke salad, and chocolate mousse. For brunch. I also had the cucumber martini. The service was superb. A new favorite dining spot. Best to make reservation in advance.

Ambience, service, and FOOD all rate 5 stars. Elegant but not ostentatious, tasteful warm decor. From our first greeting at the entrance to the last goodbye we were treated with polite respect. Attentive but never smothering or rushed.

This is the place to go if you're looking for an excellent French fine dining restaurant. The menu items are a bit pricey but they're totally worth the experience. The decor and the French music enhanced my experience and made me feel like I was in Paris. The wait staff was also very knowledgeable about the menu items and I found them to be very friendly and attentive.

At the time I visited NYC I found this pet friendly restaurant and had a wonderful experience with the staff, atmosphere and food! Sorry to see this permanently closed! I would have loved to eat here again avec mon chat, Monsieur Dexter!

Wow, this place is truly amazing. The food, the staff, the environment- it all exceeded our expectations! The food was full of flavor, the ambiance was quaint and romantic, and Johanna and the wait staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. We really felt special and look forward to our next night out at Chat Noir. Take a beautiful woman, order a bottle of wine, get the duck and the rack of lamb, and enjoy yourself... you deserve it.

Delicious. The servers sat us right away, our food came rather quickly and it was well prepared. The serving portions were generous, but not too large. And omg- their chocolate soufflé is AMAZING. Huge portion and worth every bite.

We had a very pleasant lunch in this charming neighborhood French bistro. The dining room is attractive, the ambience is relaxed and genteel. The food is very good. Who could ask for more?

Top notch food. Be careful of the French onion soup - it's delicious and very hot! I went here with my girlfriend and my parents and had a great time. Atmosphere is conducive to conversations.

Loved every minute of our dining experience. We've been there twice and it only got better. The owner manager couldn't have taken better care of our experience.

Ok. Food pretty good. Service has some catching up to do. If you want to be a French bistro, learning how to spell in French (hint: menu list) is helpful.
