An Estern Mediterranean Lebanese restaurant along 1 Av corner 13 st. The super mix grill was an excellent choice. Meat cooked to perfection and mouthwatering. We ordered taboule, humous, artichoke salad, and falafel to add extra kick of flavor for the meat. Staff attends to you from the time you sit down until you finish. Fast service. Has indoor and outdoor dining with tables for single, couples and groups. Parking along the street. Clean toilet. Great atmosphere. Will highly recommend $$
The food, service, and ambiance combined to create a truly amazing dining experience.
I must say, the food was simply outstanding. It was not only delicious but also beautifully plated. With its tasteful decor, soft lighting, and music playing softly in the background, it provided the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
Amazing food and service. We ordered chicken shawarma and chicken Sheesh Tawook. They tasted amazing, full of flavor. Garlic sauce was tasty. For desert, we ordered Kunafah with Turkish coffee, Kunafah was so tasty and coffee was fresh. Definitely going back
Customer service really well, servers are patient and nice.
It was my first time trying Lebanese food, and I loved it. The food was delicious, and I would definitely come again.
Food and service was excellent! The entree portions were generous and we thought the prices were reasonable. Plenty of seating for dinner parties and the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a group dinner. Would recommend!
Stellar meal here, we ordered the kibbeh nayeh and made a reservation just the day before. It was absolutely delicious as well as the zaatar fries, toum (garlic dip), and hummus. One of the best meals I've had in a while and our server, George, was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and it was a lovely meal :)
Love this place. Ate here for the second time on Friday. I lived in Lebanon for five years and can attest that the food is authentic and well prepared. We were a group of 4 women- had a hummus and fattoush (salad) to start and then the deluxe platter. Yes it is an expensive platter at $89, but it was enough meat for all 4 of us and we didn’t even finish it all! So we felt it was fairly priced. Service was great also, highly recommend
I recently tried this amazing restaurant that offers a mouthwatering variety of Middle Eastern delights. Their Balade Mix Grill Platter, Shish Tawook, Falafel, Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma, and Supreme Platter were all incredibly delicious! The flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. I highly recommend trying their diverse menu if you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine. It's a culinary adventure you won't want to miss!" 🍽️✨
The best lamb I’ve ever had, hands down. My friend got the shish tawook and it was a shame we couldn’t finish it all. The staff was friendly and the authenticity of the environment is just what we were looking for.
its halal. the food was fine, like any other food. but the chicken was much better than beef. also the deluxe platter was $89?? the one that has lamb, beef and chicken. so expensive. also i didnt like how they put a auto gratitude of $50 for our order. like what if i dont want to tip?? like why are u adding auto tipping? im so annoyed
Another wonderful Halal spot. Our waiter Mohammed was a wonderful person to be around and the food was so delicious. My favorite was the hummus with lamb. A very tight spot and I would recommend getting there early to be able to get a good place to sit. Love it. Oh and definitely try the baklava.
Went for lunch, staff were very friendly and efficient. Sat in the outside dining area which was very fancy for an outside dining area. Had the dogs with me, and they were warmly greeted and well looked after as well :). Ordered the shish kebab and the chicken salad. They were cooked to order, which took an extra couple of minutes but lead to beautiful things happening on our plates. Absolutely delicious, nice big portions. A real gem. Will definitely be going back.
Picked this place on a whim - did not disappoint! Waiter was attentive and after our delicious meal and Lebanese beer, provided baklava on the house.
Been here a couple of times, and have really enjoyed everything that they have to offer. The Shish Tawook and the shrimp in particular were excellent!
The staff here is among the warmest and most hospitable I have come across in NYC. Definitely give this place a visit!
Update: Visited Balade again and savored a broader array of dishes and enjoyed each of them. Every dish was flavorful and delicious, from the original recommendations (Shish Tawook and Shrimp) to several other dishes that we tried (including the Tarboush Chicken, Moudardara, Chicken Seekh Shawarma, Mloukhie).
My only disappointment was that the service fell below the very high standard my prior visits had set. Perhaps it was because the owners/managers weren't there. The server forgot our order of two pots of teas (or blamed the other server who he had told but whose shift had ended). When the tea did come, he couldn't give a clear answer whether the tea was already brewed or needed more steeping. Also, one of the teapots was lukewarm. When we called for the check, the guest count on the bill was wrong, and we were surprised to find that they had charged a fee for using a credit card.
Overall, i will still highly recommend Balade, but would love for these little things around customer service to be fixed.
Fantastic restaurant! Went last night for my bday with two girlfriends and everything was amazing. I’ve spent a lot of time in the Middle East and Lebanon and the food was top notch. But also, equally important was the service. Every single person working there was knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond at all of their tables (I worked in restaurants for a long time so I always observe by default). Truly special place, can’t wait to go back and bring more friends. Thank you all!
Great staff and amazing food. Good mezze options . Highly recommended Lebanese restaurant.
Friendly, efficient staff and fantastic food. The beef shawarma is legitimately the best beef shawarma I’ve ever had.
I was craving for a good Lebanese restaurant, Balade absolutely satisfied my needs. Located in the East Village, the place is cozy, music was AMAZING, as well as the vibe. I went with a friend on a Thursday night. Anything was DELICIOUS from the falafel, hummus, babaganoush, wild zaatar, fatayr with spinach and feta. Prices are reasonable. I will ABSOLUTELY go back and recommend it to anyone!!!
