Indian food with Americanized flavors to it. Great ambiance and service - a decent menu offering making it simple to choose and not overwhelming. Love their bartender - amazing cocktail menu and perfect pour. Tried a couple of them, one with gin base and another one with bourbon base. The gajar ka halwa with ice cream and toffee pudding are out of the world. All my visits post the first one have just been for drinks and desserts. Skip the food and go to desserts directly - mantra!!

Easily the best Indian food I've ever had! Luis and Marina were so sweet and made brunch an event - even asking if we had any music requests. I can't wait to go back for more!!

Lovely outdoor seating and cozy decor, great cocktails and friendly waitstaff. Food was very good, however, we asked for extra spicy dishes and were served fairly mild, no different than the meals of others at the table who asked for mild. Indian food needs to be spicy! Felt a bit rushed at the end, though left well before the alloted 90 minutes.

Very nice ambience. So friendly staff. Good food. It was bit americanized for the crowd here. So spices were subtle. But we liked the food. Tried shrimp cocktail appetizer, chicken briyani and gajar halwa. Shrimp cocktail was decent but was a bit bland and quantity was very very less. Just 5 pieces for the price. Chicken briyani was good though americanized with spices. Gajar ka halwa was so good.

Great vibes, incredible chicken tikka masala (should I grow up and branch out in my Indian food choices absolutely but I don't see that happening any time soon), and really great service. Drinks are a bit pricy but not far outside of the norm.

14 of us patronized this restaurant in their outdoor setup on a very rainy evening. The service was prompt and with a smile. The food very tasty and was excellent all around. They have a full bar! Will definitely patronize them again!!

We went there early in the day when the place opened for Brunch. Food felt a bit stale, especially the okra but overall tasted good. The Mango lassi was quite nice and I’d recommend you try it at least once if you’re visiting this restaurant. We opted to be seated outside which was well ventilated with fans. We did not try their cocktails although this restaurant is known for their drinks. Overall, it’s a good place to check-out at least once if you’re in the area. Get there early because the place gets busier during mid to late afternoons.

Great little Indian place on the UES. The ambience is really what makes it worth visiting. The food was good, could use more heat in the chicken masala however the chicken Samosas were amazing!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and finally had a chance to go for dinner. They did not disappoint! I ordered vegetable samosas as an appetizer and two side dishes chana masala and cauliflower foogath. We also shared some garlic naan and green beans. I didn’t get rice since I only ordered apps/sides. My mother in law shared her rice with me so I could try it. omg the best rice I’ve ever had. I never thought rice could be that good. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Absolutely delightful and charming restaurant and bar. The cocktails were amazing, the house paanch (punch) is a must. Food was incredible, best butter chicken I've ever had and garlic naan was perfect. Decor inside was eclectic with ornate wallpaper, beautiful art deco bar, monkey chandeliers, and a gorgeous floor. All the servers were very professional but attentive and had very positive attitudes and their energy was a delight. It's obvious they all love working there. We sat outside on a small bench with rattan stools and a small side table. The outdoor seating also offered covered seating in a small tent with tables. There is a certain energy about the place that sucks you in as you stroll by, a must stop. Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood. I can't wait to go back. GARRETT the server from JAMAICA made our visit! So kind and funny and professional at all times. I'd go back just to have Garrett wait on us again, sincere conversation and a huge smile to match. Check them out!

This is one of my faves on the UES. The menu is more limited than other places but what they have is excellent. My favorite is the butter paneer tikka masala with their special spiced old fashioned. Yum. Delivery is good too.

Favorite restaurant in all of NYC coming from a life long local. The food is excellent every time and the drinks are the best cocktails in the city. But what really makes this place special is the staff. From the owners to the bartenders and waitresses, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great night. A special shoutout to Luis the host, who has become a friend after all the times I've been there throughout the years. His service is impeccable and he is just a blast to hang out with. I recently had a celebratory dinner for a large group of friends and family here and Luis accommodated all our requests and made it an unbelievable night! Come here for any special occasion or just drop by to have a cocktail and snacks and chat with the bartender. They can do it all.

This place is a classic NYC gem. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the high caliber staff elevates the dining experience. Luis made our experience very special. This place is reservation only during dinner so be sure to snag a res early. We loved sitting at the bar and enjoying the cozy vibes. Great spot if you’re looking to impress a date with a gem.

First time trying British Indian food.. incredible! We got the crispy okra, cucumber mango salad, veggie samosas and the star of the evening VEGETABLE KORMA (my fave!). Perfect portion size and the garlic naan was chef’s kiss. Can’t wait to enjoy this spot again. Fun fact they always have a James Bond Roger Moore era movie on the screen above the bar. Kinda fun!

Great atmosphere and excellent cocktail. Indian foods are so delicious from appetizer to main dish. They open until midnight so it is very convenient if you would like to seek the good place to drink at late night in upper east side. They offer reasonable set menu which includes cocktail, appetizer and main dish with nan bread.

Fantastic food as always, ordered coconut water which was fresh and no added sugar. Outdoor dining suits this place, reminds me of the street food back home in India. Vegetable Biryani was awesome, authentically cooked and tandoori chicken was too good. They do take reservations so make sure to call it gets really busy.

We usually sit in the outside structure, it’s heated in the winter and beeezy in the summer. We are locals so drunken munkey has become our go to for Indian food. We are huge fans of their paos (Indian sandwich/burger/wrap) but I believe they only serve them until 6 or 7pm. We also enjoy their paneer masala, lamb kebab, shrimp curry, and daal. Their crispy okra is a must have! If you order the pani puri, ask for the pani on the side so the puris won’t get soggy if you are eating slowly or sharing. Sometimes when they get busy, they do take a little longer, but it makes sense bc of how popular they are. Better to have a reservation, otherwise you may have to wait a little. It is pricey for Indian food; but 100% worth it
