Very delicious. Sadly not enough vegan options. Drinks were only 11 bucks, very reasonable. The prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is nice, there's a cool water feature. But the music is kind of like Euro dance. Not very Japanese. Go here for good, affordable food but not really for authentic Japanese experience.

Good food (sushi). Solid atmosphere. The service started out a little rushed. But I made things good between staff and my wife. There were four of us. Prices were more than reasonable. Had NY cheesecake for desert. Japanese beer was great.

Asuka in Chelsea is hands down the best local sushi spot in the area. The quality and freshness of their sushi are unmatched, making it a go-to destination for sushi enthusiasts. With each visit, you can expect an exceptional dining experience. One of the standout aspects of Asuka is their generous portion sizes. The sushi rolls and sashimi servings are impressively large, ensuring that you’ll leave fully satisfied. It’s a place where you definitely get your money’s worth. The salmon sashimi at Asuka is absolutely incredible. The fish is impeccably fresh, with a buttery texture and delicate flavor that melts in your mouth. It’s a must-try for any salmon lover. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Asuka is a hidden gem in Chelsea that shouldn’t be missed. The combination of high-quality sushi, always fresh ingredients, and generous portions make it a standout sushi spot. Give it a try and prepare to be amazed.

Overall a pleasant lunchtime experience for about $15 before tax and tip, and just water to drink (a lemon wedge included, a nice touch!)There was a $1 upcharge for brown rice. The salmon bento box came with a small salad with a thin, watery flavorless dressing, and an equally plain miso soup. Neither was bad, just not tasty. The California roll and dumplings were good, as was the salmon, and 3 fresh broccoli florets. The dining room is large and dark, with ample spacing between tables. My window seat had sufficient light despite the scaffolding outside. Overall, you can't go wrong for the money. Service was very pleasant and efficient. I would definitely consider eating here again for cheap eats. I hope they step up their salad dressing and miso soup game just a bit. But then again, restaurants are definitely struggling in this economy and cut corners wherever they can. Try it for lunch. You really can't go wrong!

While the sushi and service were impeccable, the ambiance, with its subdued lighting, didn't quite align with my personal preferences as it felt a tad too dim for my liking.

We stopped by during a day trip to the city. We were craving some sushi so decided to give this place a shot. We were seated outside, nice covered outdoor seating. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo. It was good, but the tuna didn't feel very fresh. Overall, I would come back.

Delicious cocktails and vegetable ramen. Great service, attentive but not too much.

Ordered for pickup and everything was nicely organized ready a couple minutes early which worked well for me. I got a couple special rolls that were really good although I think the salmon avocado roll was the best. Fresh and delicious. The salmon pieces were high quality and the avocado fresh! I perhaps ordered a little more than I needed so it came out a little expensive but it was great.
