Every time that i eat here, i love it more, exlent steaks, one of the best Cream Burlee i ever had, highly recomended.
New Year's Eve, busy, appetizers lacking flavor, however Chilean Sea Bass and lamb shank were wonderful. Would go back less busy evening.
The filet mignon couldn’t have been cooked anymore perfect. A true 10. You know what else was a 10? The service. The waiter and hostess staff was incredibly friendly, not over bearing, patient and helpful. A real understated neighborhood gem.
Just moved it the area so it was our first time here. Very attentive service and wine list was great. Food was good too although it wasn’t superb. Oysters weren’t their specialty so they were disappointing in variety, size and way they serve them. Salad was great. Hostess was really nice and welcomi
Said was great. Crabcakes were amazing. The better half ordered halibut and I had steak fries. The food came out hit. Fully stocked bar. A wider variety of deserts would be great. Good atmosphere.
We ordered take out here because of COVID. Prior to that, we’ve dined in and always had a great experience. The food is always perfect and steaks cooked as ordered.
Happy to report the take out results are much the same as dine in. Steaks, cooked perfectly. Appetizer of calamari was fried very
Best dining experience on the Upper East Side hands down. This place has an Old World New York feel something that's been missing Lately from the area. It's a family-run business and a manager is always on staff. Dining here is always a treat, food is always fantastic and the bartenders really know
Had the scallops and shrimps in potato nest. Very hearty and filling. Scallops were cooked nicely and shrimps were big and juicy too. So that plus the sauce and the fried potato sticks - omg. My sister had the shrimp scampi. Def on the heavier side too but I loved it. Scampis tend to be too light fo
We had an incredible time at this neighborhood icon. We've been enjoying the food here for nearly twenty years now. Always consistently good, both service and food. Niko is the quintessential restaurateur! We will continue coming back, again and again.
The staff was extremely kind and attentive, they made sure we heard all the options available including off menu specials. The atmosphere is very quaint and definitely a vintage vibe in here but a very chic and scenic spot. The food was very good and craftfully prepared. There is large regard for se
If you find yourself on the East Side in the 70's looking for a handsome place to grab a bite late in the day, look no further. A delicious pear salad followed by a bowl of pasta hit the spot. Friendly service, nice company. Folks were walking in with reservations, I spent quality time at the bar wa
Service here was good and so was the food. It was unfortunate to learn the steak comes with potatoes OR a vegetable and not both but that's alright.
The hostess seemed like she had no desire to be there at all and gave us a very dirty looked when we answered, "no" to her question, "do you have a re
This is by far my favorite restaurant in the upper east side. The service and management is exceptional. The food is uniquely prepared and never disappoints - it always exceeds expectation! Onion soup, AWESOME. Shrimp & artichoke appetizer, AWESOME. Salmon entrée, AWESOME. All steak entrées, AWESOME
Great atmosphere especially on the patio...less so inside. Great steaks and service. Don't get tuna tartare! It is NOT sushi quality.... But I suppose getting tuna in a"steak" place makes no sense anyway.
I have been eating at BLS for close to 20 years and to-date, have never had a bad experience. The steak, and other food is always cooked perfectly, the staff is nice. Probably the best crab cakes in the city.
Salmon Teriyaki was well cooked but still nice and soft, and the teriyaki glaze on top tasted great. Additionally, the service was excellent. The waiter was always checking to make sure everything was good at our table whenever he walked by.
