The Russian Tea Room - New York City - Photo album

This is a very upscale restaurant, next to Carnegie Hall, as it corresponds. We went there for Thanksgiving. As such, the menu is semi-fixed, meaning you choose from several options for appetizer, entree and dessert. The food was indeed very good, the service very good, but I have to say that for $2
The Russian Tea Room is an icon of New York City; a visit there really transports you to another version of the city. The atmosphere is old world glamor, and everything is over the top in the best way. A friend and I had the Afternoon Tea service. She arrived quite late to our tea date, and instead
What a beautiful establishment! The restaurant is located near Carnegie Hall and upon entry, you’re absorbed into a different and vintage world. The decoration is beautiful and our waiter is amazing and attentive. We were pleasantly surprise to find that we dont all have to do afternoon tea unlike o
I had dinner here with couple friends recently. I am not a fan on chandeliers, gold rim old money charm decor, but the dinning room is quite nice and comfortable. The service was not up to par that night. Although our server came by a few times to ask us how was everything, but never noticed our gla
We enjoyed an amazing dinner before the play. The service is excellent. We loved every minute of our experience and the food
This was my first time doing a high tea. I really thought it was a fun experience. Our waiter was good. We wish we would have been told a little more about how to order. The prices are very steep $95 Per Person. The value of the food didn't match the price. I wasn't impressed with the taste of some
Beautiful place!! We had afternoon tea, and the sandwiches and scones were delicious! The small pastries were a bit too sweet for me. Price are high($90/p.p.), but you can feel like having a short trip to imperial Russia!
It was such a good lunch. Mixed basket of bread, tea, blinchik and stroganoff were all good. I will visit again to try other dishes.
Great experience for a special occasion. We sat upstairs. I recommend a reservation. We had seven people. Service is second to none and food was great. Try something different. We had appetizers, a main course, and dessert. The stroganoff is great, as is the lamb chops. There's not a bad cho
I visited the Russian Tea Room for the first time. I enjoyed the afternoon tea service on a Sunday. We made reservations a few days in advance, but at that time, I don't think we would've had a problem getting a table if we didn't. It was a more casual atmosphere than I thought. My party was dressed
This place is right next to Carnegie Hall. We had already finished lunch and we just wanted some tea. This spot was perfect. Away from all the noise, dark, ornate and air conditioned. Feels exotic. Our tea pot cost is $10. Food is expensive and you can enjoy a high tea party for $130, or fancy $22 d
Imagine you were born a Russian Oligarch and you have a penchant for real silverware, palatial dining halls, caviar, and (albeit overpriced) perfectly brined martinis. That’s what the Russian Tea Room is like. You’ll be served by serious but kind staff donned in old fashioned high end suits with tai
Let me say, the place is very unique, beautiful and rich. Soaked with Russian spirit and charming music. However, the food is ok. I can't say it was not tasty but nothing special. The boirsh was too sweet. The herrings sample too soar. The duck and Bestroganof were ok.
