Love this place. Its crowded when we got there but thankfully we have reservation so we were seated as soon as we came in. Brunch menu is limited to the typical Filipino breakfast that I am accustomed to eating back home but I enjoyed my picadillo bowl, reminds me of my moms cooking. Will try to come back for dinner.
Maharlika is a nice cozy restaurant that serves some interesting Filipino dishes! We came during the day and tried their brunch dishes. Overall the flavors were nice and the presentation was great. They also play some fun 80s music! Try to make a reservation if you are coming during peak hours as they can get very busy!
Authentic Filipino food, at great prices and flavors... welcome to Marharlika! Such a great spot in Manhattan just outside the city proper! In an eclectic area, the staff greeted us promptly and seated us with no wait. Great classic hip-hop and r&b played in the background, and our drinks and food were EXCELLENT! We were transported to our childhoods while we are Filipino comfort food as well as some twists on the classics.
This place is a gem! Great and hearty Filipino food with generous portions. I've only had their brunch, but I've heard their dinner service is also great!
Cozy filippino spot in the East village. I went there for brunch and we were all happy with what we ordered. I would definitely recommend the Eggs Imelda (sorry no pics of that as we started eating too quickly)! I'll definitely go back for dinner to try the rest of the menu.
I came here with my coworkers. It was my first time eating Filipino food. I ate the balut and pork adobo. Good food, very sympathetic staff and excellent price.
food and service was good! I was feeling a little bit nostalgic and missed my mom’s cooking so we went to Maharlika to eat some Filipino food. The Sisig and Palabok were good but the Longsilog that we ordered to take home was the bomb! was just how it is cooked at home. The food was quite pricey but was a great experience and would definitely come back when we visit NYC again.
Great place for some modern Filipino food. Home feel with tons of family pictures and nick nacks. Very friendly staff coupled with great food.
Came here for the kamayan feast with a group of 10 and was absolutely blown away! From fried chicken and ube waffles to sisig and spring rolls, everything we got was phenomenal! Eating with your hands and making different combinations of food was really fun! I would say we only finished about 60% of the food, and took 3 full boxes to go. Definitely a worthwhile experience and highly recommended!
Went for brunch with the girlfriend. Started off with delicious sampalok (tamarind) sweet tea, and had the silog brunch sets. We started off with lumpia and arroz caldo (probably the best ive had so far). As for the silly sets I got the tocino, her the longanissa sausage. Everything was delicous. Would recommend. Salamat!
When you order sisig, they will scramble the egg at your table before serving it. That's like cutting into a breakfast poached egg before serving it. I would prefer to do it myself so I was a little caught off guard by the whole show. I found the pork bits to be a little on the slightly overcooked end but overall the dish was still tasty.
This place is awesome with great music and a super friendly staff! Would recommend sitting at the bar with a San Mig and the sisig. The place is a bit snug and very popular so I would suggest making a reservation if you have a larger party.
The food was extremely good! Just that their menu isn't quite yet that huge. We had the kare kare, sisig fish and pork, bihon[very thin kind of filipino noodles] daing bangus/milkfish. Everything was amazing specially the kare kare, my friend told me the sisig pork got a real heat/spicy in it so just beware. All in, this is a place that i would recommend if you wanna try some philippine cuisine!
It's a first time I had Filipino cuisine, it's amazing good, good service great food.
Best Chicken and Waffles EVER!! NICE Filipino twists on classic brunch dishes, everything we had was delish! Staff was very friendly and helpful!
First time having Filipino food and I was instantly in love with the food.
Everything seems yummy
