Fast and friendly service. Sandwich was made exactly as ordered. There was also a man playing guitar 🎸. Not sure if that's a standing gig.

OMG... sad that I tried this place my last day in NYC otherwise I would have tried more items on the menu... chicken pot pie soup was amazing

Custom sandwiches that are fresh and delicious. Courteous staff (much better than the average NYC indifference or rudeness). They classify roasted red peppers and cucumbers as premium ingredients, and I could not agree more! So good! Loved it and will be back on my next visit.

Potbelly makes a damn good sandwich. The bread is flavorful, the toppings are tasty and the broiler method makes everything taste better. On the negative side, I'm pretty sure their new "Bigs" are a bit sneaky - I got a larger piece of bread, but the same amount of meat as a regular. Maybe it was just my server, but I'm not sure the upgrade was worth it. If I could see them put the meat in, I'd feel more confident they're making the sandwich right and using the fair amount of meat, but who knows what goes on behind that tall counter.

I came here for a break from an afternoon of shopping in the cold weather. I got myself a soup and a toasted sandwich and it was just right. The chicken noodle soup is packed with hearty ingredients. The turkey sandwich I got was great too; made very nicely and neatly, which is something I am pretty particular about. I had the meatball sandwich on a different occasion and must say that it was delicious and satisfying as well. You can certainly count on this place for a good sandwich.

The associate at the cash wrap had AMAZING customer service, she was a sweet mature lady. She made the rest of the service better, the other staff seemed like they just wanted to rush us through. The Philly/Jersey Cheesestake could've had a bit more food for the price. I could've went to Philly and got one with more meat at cheaper price. And it only tasted okay.

I wasn't sure what to expect from an assembly line sandwich setup, but this is a well-oiled machine! I had the chicken and cheddar and it was delish!!! Only knock, hence the four stars, is they put pickles on my sandwich. I really don't like pickles, but I took them off and took one for the team 😨 The setting was cool with bar-style counters and fixed seating.

The first time there. Def a learning curve. Its a cool. Like chipotle for sandwiches. Nice selection. Everything is an add on..like bits and pieces. It's easy for the Price to jump up. Sandwich plus drink plus chips plus..but it was little over 20 for two of us for lunch. Try the cookies. Oatmeal chocolate chip..warmed up. Easily best part of the visit.

It was over a year ago and was the second time I've only been to a Potbelly Sandwich Shop. Staff was friendly and the service was quick. It is a good option to any of the various major chain sub sandwich shops, and NYC deli shops. Especially if you have just visited the Empire State Building and our hangry. It is located on Fifth, the next block up from the Empire State Building. Food was delicious and satisfied my hangry pains. Well worth checking out!!

Consistent and familiar sandwich shop where you'll be greeted by cheerful staff who move at a frenetic pace. The lines can often get long, but they keep things moving and the sandwich always comes out right. Be sure to try out their hot peppers!

Usually pretty busy at lunch, but they are quick. All the sandwiches are toasted and made to order as you move down the line. The staff are always really nice and food is consistent.

I wish menus wer little descriptive for the first time visitiors. I found everyone assumed I am already familiar of all different combinations they're offering. Sandwiches were pretty good though but with little help it could have been better

I've been going here for lunch for a few years and it's usually pretty good. Staff is friendly and the food is consistent. The daily soup specials are on a good rotation.

Very tasty toasted sandwiches. Highly recommend the Italian as well as the meatball. If you visit during the lunch rush (we visited at 1pm on a Monday), you will be very lucky to get a seat.

Potbelly is a conveniently located sandwich shop on 35th and 5th with sandwiches slightly better quality than Subway, but 1/2 the size. A great place to pick up food to-go or eat inside. During lunch peak hours, live guitar entertainment is provided. Every time I order A Wreck sandwich ($6) which is filled with salami, roast beef, turkey, ham and swiss cheese with a selection of toppings, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, Italian seasoning and more. It's around 6 inches, a medium size meal quite filing, but not enough to fully stuff the stomach. The line is rather long during the peak hours, but no longer than 5 minutes. The wait is not bad considering there is live entertainment. Listening to the music drains my stress away and rejuvenates me for a long day ahead. For a cheap alternative to Subway and other sandwich shops, come to Potbelly and you won't be disappointed.
