Came here today and did a large pot of green tea and the 3 roll lunch special that they offer. Was not disappointed in any of it whatsoever and honestly had one got the best ginger salads in the area to start. For 15$ you get 3 simple rolls and soup/salad...how can you go wrong?! The bartender was friendly and attentive as were the rest of staff. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for good quality fish for lunch
Nice place. Staff was great. Happy hour was decent. Had the firecracker shrimp served in a glass with what looked like bread sticks. The crab wonton was not your typical wonton from your local Chinese food restaurant. It was fried perfectly. Had the whisky sour and wine for happy hour
Came in on a Monday at around 6:30 with my aunt and sister for dinner. Happy hour is only at bar area, including the high tables so we decided to sit there for a few drinks and apps before the host offered to move us to the main dining area for dinner. Happy hour is M-F from 5-7 and you can get $7 hot/cold sake, wine, $5 draft beer, and $8 select cocktails. I asked for a cosmo, less sweet and they actually made it as such. They also have a few craft bottled Japanese beers (not on happy hour), which was a nice change of pace from the typical Sapporo and Kirin you see at Japanese restaurants. You can also get $5 select apps (sliders, chicken yakitori, california roll, edamame, gyoza, kani salad, fries). I had a fried chicken slider, which I absolutely loved. The chicken was juicy, and came with a spicy mayo sauce. My aunt and sister opted for the beef one, which they enjoyed as well. The California rolls are California rolls - nothing special, and the kani salad was just okay. There were more cucumbers than imitation crab meat.
For dinner, they moved us to a nice, spacious booth. We started off with one of their specials, which was a tofu topped with some spicy salmon. I guess I missed the part where the menu mentioned the salmon part because I was just expecting something like agedashi tofu. The salmon was definitely a nice surprise (due to my lack of reading skills).
For the mains, I decided not to play it safe this time and ventured away from my usual basic rolls or sushi entrees. Plus sometimes, you're just in the mood for some good old fashioned Americanized sushi with all sorts of crazy concoctions and sauces. I went with the Dynamite Roll (wild blue crab, avocado topped w. seared spicy scallops, crunch, fried vermicelli - $17) and the Harajuku Roll (salmon, mango, cucumber topped wtih spicy salmon, crunchy flakes, scallion, caviar mango sauce - $15), to share. The first piece of the Dynamite roll tasted a bit off. Maybe something with the sauce they used? But the more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it. I would definitely order it again. The Harajuku was pretty good as well, but I preferred the other one.
And just in case we weren't already ordering too much food, we threw in a duck ramen for good measure. The duck was surprisingly good, as was the broth, but the noodles were soggy. It tasted instant-esque. In fact, I feel like I could have gotten better noodles from a Shin Ramyun package. I wouldn't recommend it.
Service was 5 stars. They were very attentive and even gave us a 10-minute warning before happy hour was over. It was also my aunt's birthday so they brought out some mochi ice cream on the house. I'll definitely be back for some fried chicken sliders (I'd also imagine their chicken karaage would be pretty good as well), and for some of their other rolls.
Mira has great lunch specials. Had the avocado salmon, cucumber/ shrimp, spicy tuna. Everything was good , the shrimp/ cucumber was OK . Overall this is a good sushi spot nice atmosphere !
Pros: Atmosphere, music, staff, unique rolls selections. I got the Miss Over You Roll (their take on the Rainbow roll) and the Magic Dragon Roll (I love most rolls that have eel).
Cons: NONE.
Hospitality alone is 5 stars! The place was packed and we never waited more then 4 min's to be greeted, receive appetizer, entree, drinks or plates removed. We got the sashimi entree and it was beautiful and delicious. Would love to come back.
Great spot to have lunch with a friend or a coworker. Pork Buns are delicious, very good sushi. I’ve frequented here multiple times have yet to be disappointed.
Great food with plenty of variety. You can't really go wrong with any dish. Everyone was satisfied, from the teenagers to the elderly. We came with a party of 6 and had no wait.
The only thing is that they play lots of rap music, so for people who aren't a fan, this may not be the place for you.
So I was hesitant because a food rating site had this place at 3 stars. My bougie self was ready to judge when my friend suggested it. But the sushi was fresh and delicious. I wish my job didn't cause me to miss happy hour but that not the restaurants fault. I need to work at a place that supports me drinking on a discount ;-) Enjoy!
Tasty rolls with funny names. This sushi spot is delightful for whimsical and savory creations. The "I'm Over You" roll was my favorite, and a friend love the Snowman roll. Spacious seating makes this the perfect destination to get together with friends.
Excellent sushi, with plenty of great, creative options, and the cocktails are delicious as well! Only downside is that it’s pricier than it should be.
The wait staff is really nice and polite. The space is nice and clean and the food is good. If you need spice its not in the seasoning but they have chili flakes!
Very friendly service, tasty appetizers and superb sushi with nice sake selection.
Amazing house sake for $7 during weekday happy hour. The yellowtail nigiri is some of the best I've had.
Delicious and so fresh! Salmon, avo and mango rolls were amazing and the service (even for takeaway) was excellent. Definitely returning soon!
Really good! Easy booking through Seated. Our table was ready for us and we didn't need to wait. The crispy rice with spicy tuna is so good! We also got spicy tuna. Salmon avocado and scallop rolls. Everything came out quickly and it was delicious! Staff super nice and helpful with picking food. We were in and out in an hour, so it's good if you want something quick. At the end, they brought us our check without us asking for it, which felt a little rushed. Overall, really great!
Had the smoked salmon and blue crab with caviar on toast off the brunch menu. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Relaxing cute spot 😊. Really innovative and interesting food. I'm a picky eater and the food was to die for. We also got the lava cake dessert so yummy. My boyfriend got the caviar salmon cream cheese bagel and that was also so delicious!!!
