The service was kinda slow and the prices are steep for a dinner. It’s nice though that it’s 24 hours. I got the veggie burger deluxe which was $18. It was a decent burger. My friends got ice cream and a fruit salad and they thought that was pretty good. It looked like they had a bunch of pies and cakes out so those might be worth the visit.

The Chelsea Square Restaurant in New York is a hidden gem that captures the essence of a cozy, old-fashioned diner. With its nostalgic ambiance, hearty and delicious breakfast offerings, and top-notch service, it is a must-visit for those seeking a taste of the past in the bustling heart of Manhattan. Whether you're a local looking for a comforting breakfast or a visitor in search of a genuine diner experience, this place won't disappoint. My visit left me with fond memories, and I look forward to returning to relive the nostalgia and indulge in more delightful breakfasts in the future.

Look, it's a 24 hour diner which does the biggest portions known to man even by US standards. HOWEVER, the service is fantastic - everyone was super friendly and lovely, and chatty. We had so much fun there. The chicken parmgiana sandwich was pretty good as was the Matzo ball soup. They do great wine! For €30 we got a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Also got slices of Pumpkin Pie, which was really good. For a late night feast, this is 100% the place to go.

A New York Chelsea neighborhood icon. It’s your down and dirty diner. The menu is extensive, staff is seasoned and the portions are big. I like to come here for breakfast, but it’s is popular at all hours of the day and night. Great way to end the night.

I had a great breakfast at Chelsea Square Diner with my wife. The place is cozy & clean, with friendly staff & fast service. They were very accommodating to my needs as a mechanical wheelchair user, & made sure I had enough space & comfort. I ordered the Mexican Omelete, which was served with chorizo, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese. It was spicy, cheesy, and filling. I washed it down with a good cerveza called All Day IPA, which was refreshing and hoppy. The portion was generous and the price was reasonable. I would definitely come back and try more dishes from their extensive menu. A New York city diner is an experience and a good one is open 24 hours. Chelsea Square Diner is one of those good ones that you don't want to miss. Salud!🍻

It’s like an episode of Seinfeld. I was chosen to be Jerry. Cops that stand around should have to sweep with a broom. The waiter said bon appetite which is rarely heard and added great flavor to my experience. The matzoh ball soup has noodles. That doesn’t makes sense but thank you. Peppercorn is a fruit, had to look it up.

Chelsea square is a really nice diner with a great and delicious breakfast. I had the fluffiest pancakes I’ve ever had. The place is welcoming, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the owner clearly takes pride in the place and appears to see everyone that comes in as his personal guest. Very recommend!

I just had the most perfect midnight meal ever! Broiled bacon cheeseburger with a black and white milkshake, correction milkshakeS. If you love a black and white as much as me and you’re in the vicinity of 23rd and 8th Avenue in Chelsea…. Stop by and see Mr Martine at the Chelsea Square Diner, this gentleman will set you up for a stellar late night dining experience . Straight up he mixed up a milkshake that was so perfect I didn’t feel any guilt enjoying one shake with my meal, followed by a second which I brought with me on the road. For real it was that Gooood. Thank you Martine for the excellent conversation, your music choice was perfection, your charming attention made me feel like my bad day never happened. This guy is the genuine article, people ask to be seated in his section and Bón Apetíte. Needless to say I’ll be coming back anytime I’m in the area. I’m leaving as one happy man, and I shuffled in a bit defeated by my long work day that started at 8…. And finished at 11:30. Side note, yes yes there are vegetarian options. Check out the daily soups. Wheelchair accessible and children are more than welcome. It’s a classic diner, one of the last of its kind.

This is such a cozy place in the hustle of the city. I went here with some friends on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy. Just the right amount of busy. Our waitress was super sweet with the expected Italian hospitality (which is wonderful). I got the giant portion of Lasagna and it wasn't bad. I wish I were cheesier but it was delicious nonetheless. I'm sure I'll be back soon! Side note — they have an old school register where you check out at the end of your meal. The sound of that thing brings back memories of when I was a kid!

My husband and I stumbled across this diner after being turned away numerous times needing a restroom, no one would let us. Then we came into this diner, they allowed my husband to use the restroom while i took a seat at the bar. I had only intended to order a hot tea to warm up, but noticed on the menu they had Manhattan Clam Chowder. This happens to be one of my favorites & I rarely see it on a menu especially living in Florida. So i ordered the cup of soup instead. WHAT A HAPPY SURPRISE. not only was it delicious, their version of a cup is a bowl! My husband decided to order a club sandwich and was shocked at its size! It was enormous! It was a nice quiet retreat from the busy streets and sightseeing. To top it off, the workers were very polite and sweet. I wish i would have gotten the gentlemans name that served us, he was so sweet and funny with us. When i return to Ny i will make it a point to stop by here.
