Great hummus, fresh made so no bad aftertaste, it can be made glutenfree just ask for tortillas or cucumber slices instead of white or wheat. Good falafel and for those that want meat they have a decent schwarma sandwich.Very inexpensive in the west village .
You can also have small sides of grape leaves salad and some more selections .There are fresh juice or soda for those that do not want too healthy a meal. The table service is friendly and accommodating if you have allergies.
It is not a big place but they can fit medium sized groups and has a single bathroom.
I have been going here for many, many years with my hubby. Sadly their other location in the east village is no longer there but whether you are on a budget or not the quality of the hummus is first rate.
One of the best hummus places in town! The hummus platter is a winner any day! Different pita bread from all the other places, and definitely tastier & filling.
Best hummus in town! Reasonable prices and tasty. Shakshuka is also great! Went twice in 3 days and highly recommend it! Yummy
Great place for Mediterranean food. What is even better is that the wine is affordable and good! $28 for a bottle of wine beats all other fancy places. The tabouli is excellent as well. Hummus is good but a bit too smooth for me. It is only a matter of taste though!
The best hummus I've had in NYC. The food is all delicious (try the brunch!), and the service is perfect.
I spent months looking for a place that had hummus like the Mediterranean, and was consistently disappointed until I found this place. Can't recommend it enough.
If you're a real lover of hummus and feel the need to bath in it, then you'll love this place. Their more popular meals is the lunch special which includes a bowl of hummus and a side (bright green falafel, grape leaves with mint sauce, etc.) for $7.95. It isn't the best I've ever had, but it works if you want to leave the office and have a seat somewhere on the cheap. The waitstaff is nice, but sometimes needs some flagging down. All in all, a place to go back to, but maybe not memorable.
This is a great sit-down place for good Mediterranean food. Although the menu is a bit limited, you can bet your bottom that they have various different hummusses. Their hummus platter is plenty for two to share which comes with really good pita. Their Shakshuka is also pretty good-tomato stew with eggplant, peppers and poached eggs. The staff is really friendly. I'd love to come back and try their brunch.
The Hummus is good. The only thing I was disappointed from is the little amount of meat they put in the Pita Sandwich dish.
Good selection of hummus for a decent price. I haven't tried the other dishes, but the hummus is great. Be warned, the dining room is very small and can get really hot during the summer.
I love the hummus with fava beans and recently I tried the new item on their menu which was a pita pizza with yogurt sauce and olives it was delicious. I also tried their Shakshuka and will be ordering that again next time - best dish I have had in a very long time. Waitress was super friendly.
