We found a jewel in the middle of Manhattan! This place was amazing from beginning to end! Everything we ordered was simply perfect! Excellent service, amazing appetizers, wonderful entrees, tasty Turkish tea, great Turkish wine and the best baklava I have ever try! Super cute in the inside, and the people were extremely friendly! We will be back! They even gave us free dessert to try! A must go over and over again!!!
Absolutely Delicious and very attentive staff☆☆☆☆☆
We immensley enjoyed the mixed appetizer special plate and homemade turkish bread.
We ordered Chicken Shish Entree and Lamb meatballs Entree and I also added a side of lamb gyro. Balsamic rice, red cabbage slaw with onions and roasted tomatoes were delightful sides. That Lamb Gyro Meat was So Amazing, next time I will get the Lamb Gyro Plate (DONER) for sure! Everything tasted so fresh and service was superb.
Owner came over to our table a few times and it was great conversation, his wife and daughter run the kitchen, it's really a family run restaurant.
I really felt I was in their home having an amazing dinner. Hot Apple Tea was very enjoyable. I wish I had room for dessert, that homemade rice pudding looked so delectable OMG
We will definitely be back and we are still talking about our amazingly enjoyable dinner last night. I cannot believe we walked past this place so many times, I am so glad we stopped right there in our tracks last night. Winner Winner!!
The food was superb. Good enough for Erdogan :) They were very attentive - especially our waiter Mesood (not sure of spelling). We had the red wine sangria, their signature salad, yogurt chicken adana, lamb shish and a veggie pastry (forgot the name) and a side of hummus.
The food was really good and the service was excellent. Had never had turkish food before but I would go there again. The only thing was that I thought the roasted green pepper was sweet, not, it was so hot. The apple tea was also very good. Nice little Restaurant.
I've almost never met a kebab I didn't like. And today's Adana Yogurtlu (Yogurt Lamb Adana) confirmed this impression for me mightily. Everything was superb, from the hospitable wait staff to the glorious cuisine!
The place is excellent. Food is always delicious. Wait staff is friendly and very gracious.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Very nice atmosphere and decor, friendly and attentive staff, delicious food.
Great food, very attentive personell! Grill plater was amazing, the lamb dishes are outstanding. My only "negative" remark: they have a poor beer selection. Food still makes up for it, that's why I hand over five well deserved stars ✨.
Çok güzel şık bir yer. New York’ a gidenlere tavsiye ederim. Seveceksiniz Emin’im.
The food was delicious and the level os service is fantastic Small and intimate place
Good service. Great food. Generous portions. Authentic cuisine.
Awesome food.Great Atmosphere and very friendly excellent service 👍
A great little restaurant with delicious food and good service with a smile! BYOB is a nice option we took advantage of and our party enjoyed the various lamb options and delicious dips with pita bread!I would definitely make a return visit.
I ordered take out. I was a bit scared it may be overpriced and no good at all, but glad I was extremely wrong! I got the Doner Kebab (Gyro), which was delicious and gets a 9/10 from me. Food was plentiful and glad my Kebab came with rice (wish it was added to the description so I didn’t order a side of rice). Will be ordering from here again. 10/10 recommend.
I recommend having Manti here. It was the best I had in NYC. Reasonable prices for the food and location 👍🏼
My only complaint is the tables are very close to each other and it gets too loud in there. We were only 2 people and it was hard to focus on the good food.
Had a great dinner here with my family. Mezze platter, grape leaves, calamari to start. All great. Izkender kabob and chicken shish also very good. Seating inside and outside was all very nice.
I live in this neighborhood, this is the best food in the city, very clean and tasty! The service is the best! Food like home!!! You can’t find food like this anymore! I travel the world and i’m very picky on food im so glad this in my neighborhood, I recommend all the menu!! I wish I’ll know about this place before !!! THE BEST! ENJOY!
I really loved it here!❤️ I went here for brunch with my best friends. This place has a lovely vintage aesthetic! I absolutely love the food, the plating, the staff and the service! I'd never had Turkish food before, and it was fantastic.🤤
The food was phenomenal. We ordered the mixed grill and borek. The food was perfectly cooked, and the portions are large so price is reasonable. Service was great too, very kind, quick, and service oriented. The space feels a bit crammed with all the tables but other than that, a wonderful spot serving halal meat.
An authentic Turkish spot with delicious dishes. We started with babagnoush dip and the warm bread it was absolutely divine. The mains were chicken and lamb adana kebabs, which were also delicious. They just needed a little more flavor or spice to it. The white dipping sauce was much needed, but their had yogurt instead. We finished with Turkish tea and baklava. Amazing service and courteous staff!!! Just needed some sufi or Turkish music in the backdrop to drown the voices!!
I would absolutely recommend this delicious Turkish Restaurant. Came here with friends and the first thing we noticed upon entering was the welcoming smile and warm greeting we received from the staff. The overall ambiance is very cozy and we felt right at home. Service is extremely fast and dinner was great. The liver is a must (if you're a fan), and the complimentary bread is light and tasty. We also ordered the Shepherd and Octopus salads with some dips as our starters. The octopus was so tender and the shepherd salad was perfectly dressed with an abundance of feta. For entrees, we had lamb and baby Okra. We ended the night with Turkish coffee, baklava and a creamy custard dessert that was such a delight! I can't wait to return for more. Such a good time.

This is a cute date spot. Went on a first date and enjoyed my meal. Their strength is in the simplicity. The rice w my kebab was absolutely bangin. And I don’t even like rice like that!
I don’t know what the big fuss is about the food… I have been here for three nights in a row. Everything was perfect. Food is delicious, service amazing and everyone is friendly. It has a “family” atmosphere instead of being a restaurant. I will come again for sure.
We have been a few times and each visit is spectacular. This hidden gem on the UES offers a cozy, intimate feel. The food is made with fresh ingredients, boasts delicious flavors, and is thoughtfully done with great portion sizes. We love the sigara borek appetizer and the hummus is smooth and flavorful. For mains, I tend to always order the same (lamb gyro plate) but have had other menu items (iskender, lamb traditional plate) and they are all amazing. I love the baklava dessert — and the rice pudding is insanely delicious (my family got it and I enjoyed it too, even though I’m typically not a fan of rice pudding — this one was AMAZING!).
If you call ahead you can make reservations. The staff is friendly, attentive and warm.
Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. We’ll be back again, and again — that is certain!
Ps for outdoor they are very doggie friendly!
We really like Turkish food, it spiced with special flavors and with an interesting combinations of different ingredients.
In Agora we found all the ingredients of fine Turkish food. We enjoyed every dish we ordered and got a full value for money.
warmly recommended.
The Jasmin rice was heaven. I love turkish food.
An exceptional dining experience. The standout grape leaves contained a delightful cous cous with a uniquely sweet spice. The red lentil soup was magnificently herbaceous and light. The lamb meatball wrap was superbly seasoned, albeit somewhat dry, and could’ve benefited from tzaziki or tahini dressing. My only real complaint is that the outdoor seats were a touch unstable, and left us fearing for our lives on more than one occasion. With that being said, the adrenaline rush of nearly toppling out of our chairs only added to our enjoyment of the meal.

We went yesterday with a Turkish friend, we shared the mixed appetizers, lamb balls, feta cheese sticks and a kebab. We expected more flavor, but it wasn’t bad. In my opinion the owner kept looking at our table too much and standing too close.I like good service but not this much.
You must visit this restaurant if you are in a neighborhood me and my friend love the ambience of the place it has so many beautiful paintings hanging on the walls it really transports you to turkey. Our server Buro and his lovely wife were just so hospitable so nice. We had some Turkish coffee and baklava and it was amazing.
